Recliners are superior to rocking chairs. Every time I have used a rocking chair I have to devote some of my attention to either rocking it or stopping it from rocking. As opposed to recliners where you get your desired settings and can just do whatever you wanted to do. I understand that rocking chairs are good for some people assuming that they are in the chair for the purpose of rocking and nothing more, but recliners are simply more multi-purposed and are a reliable chair for pretty much anything. For example, are you really going to say you are reading this comment with a rocking chair? Of course, you might not be in a recliner either, but sitting in a recliner at a computer is less absurd than using a rocking chair. So in conclusion recliners are superior to rocking chairs due to being more multi-purposed.

(A Valid Point) HA, PREVILEDGED BUFFOON! IF YOU WISH TO HAVE ANY UNDERSTANDING AS TO THE ROCKING CHAIRS SUPERIORITY, WE MUST START WITH SCIENCE! AS SIR ISSAC NEWTON DECRYED, "In object at rest stays at rest, while any object in motion stays in motion, until either are acted upon by another force." AS SUCH, IF YOU WERE TO RECLINE, YOU WOULD HAVE TO FIGHT THE VERY FORCES OF PHYSICS ITSELF, EVERYTIME SOMEONE ASK FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE. THE ROCKING CHAIR NOT ONLY ALLOWS THE MAINTANCE OF MOMENTUM, BUT EVEN ALLOW FOR ITS GENERATION, LAUNCHING THE SITTER FORWORD TO THE OBJECTIVE BEFORE THEM, SUCH ASSISTANCE FROM A RECLINER IS BUT A DELUSIONAL FANTASY.

The first ever CGI and traditional 2D animation fusion shot goes to a film called Glogo 13: The professional, from japan. It uses Vector rendered imagery and looks like total pants in the context of the film, but it still does take the credit and not often talked about Ethier.

Basil of Bakerstreet I feel is honestly the true/best introduction I ever had to the dashing rogue character archetype. I mean, think about it, in D&D terms he is absolutely a Rogue. Plus a much more accurate definition of Chaotic Neutral given how everything he does/decides is pretty much done around stroking his ego/proving he's right/smart. Not just "HURR DURR IMMA DO WAT I WANT CUZ IT'S LOL RANDOM" which is Chaotic Stupid. I actually play a Rogue character right now in a campaign and he's a Drow constantly hiding under disguises he comes up with everyday to hide his identity. His entire basis of decisions is what benefits him first, the party second, and he's generally never actually selfish or a kleptomaniac, hell I haven't ever had him steal anything. Plus he uses the people skills he learned from always observing crowds to know how to make himself perfectly blend in and use his charisma to easily win people over. Comparing how I try to make him use charisma or interact with people with Basil going undercover and his quick-thinking and wit they're not too far off. Not saying they're perfect/identical but I certainly play the same class different from my girlfriend who played a Rogue Goblin who is DEFINITELY Chaotic Stupid on purpose.

  • @tulsatrash
    @tulsatrash Рік тому

Recliners are nice for sleeping in, or laying in as long as the user doesn't sweat. Many Recliners are heavy and cumbersome to move, rotate, or reposition.
I've never tried using a recliner as a chair for a desk but I imagine it would be suboptimal when trying to get to or away from the desk. Also reclining away from a desk is only useful in certain situations.
Rocking chairs can be fun to rock in. I can't recall ever owning a rocking chair or using one for anything other than novelty or relaxing.
Rocking chairs that sit on a stationary frame have similar repositioning problems to recliners with the extra potential complication of the base moving around when you lift the chair up to move it. Rocking chairs that sit on curved rails and also use those curved rails to facilitate rocking can crush or damage small things that get on the floor making them problematic for use at a desk or work table.
I usually use second or third hand swivel chairs on wheels, some of which can recline. Silver chairs can be very comfortable rotate very easily, can be repositioned without getting up, though if your floor has carpet you will want a carpet protector between the carpet and the wheels of the chair, are often adjustable in height making it easier to get the height you want for wherever you are sitting, and work well at desks or work tables. Well the wheels were swivel chair can crush small important objects, I'm less nervous about this happening with five sets of small wheels than I am with two long curved rails.
Salsa generally easy to check underneath a swivel chair if something has a rolled under it, the the same as well so true for any chair that doesn't have a complicated box frame or skirt under it.
The downside of a swivel chair is the instability that comes with all of its mobility compounded with how the ability to rotate, and potentially recline, in the civil chair makes it easier for the user to get themselves into a position where they fall or otherwise violently dismount the chair, or should they catch themselves, leave the chair to tumble to the ground. Swivel chairs on wheels are also dangerous near stairs or slopes. I generally don't like swivel chairs that are bolted to the floor due because repositioning them is usually an entirely impractical proposition, especially if you wish to do so in the space of a few minutes.
Legged stools are nice. They can stand sturdy on a flat surface, are lighter to move than most chairs did often being lighter, can be used as a narrow table. A stools lack of a back and narrow footprint makes it more maneuverable but also makes reclining in it generally dangerous.
Metal folding chairs are convenient for their portability durability, and ability to fold into a narrower form factor for storage. and in some cases quite comfortable

Recliners are superior to rocking chairs in every way, they are more comfortable, more versatile, and they are way better for napping in

If you are interested in doing the Sherlock Holmes, then how about doing the alignment of Dr. Gregory House from House M.D., since he is litterally just a "what if Sherlock Holmes were a medical doctor?" ?

Of course Recliners are the most based kind of chair, by virtue of being actually confortable and stable.

Rocking Chairs are best. You can't put a recliner on the front patio while brandishing a shotgun and have the same effect.

It could be interesting if you did like a big group Sherlock video if that is feasible as I’m not sure exactly how many alignment choices each goes through

Honestly if you were to do an alignment video on a Sherlock Holmes, I’d rather it be the RDJ version instead of the Cumberbatch version. Mostly because that’s the version I’m familiar with.

Rocking chairs are just recliners without the physical comfort. #ReclinersRule

I hope you do the Sherlock Holmeses, I think that’s be great to see!
If you’re taking suggestions for Holmes’ arch nemesis may I suggest you start with Elementary’s portrayal of Moriarty?

When it boils down to Rocking Chairs and Recliners, both have their merits but my personal preference is Recliners. This is largely due to the fact that, on more then one occasion falling asleep upon the Recliner and it was quite relaxing, though doing it consecutively does make things less comfortable. Though I will say, Rocking chairs are a god-send for getting your son or daughter to fall asleep and even sometimes stay asleep in the 1st year of their birth.

I am autistic and the rocking of the rocking chair calms me down, as I tend to get really antsy from sitting still. So I think rocking chairs are better, but I do get why others prefer recliners.
