I know nobody asked me and you can ignore my suggestions but SOMEBODY has to do Pacers, Gremlins, Pintos, Yugos etc. Cars no one loves. So, you don't HAVE be like everyone else. Rock that mustache and mullet and do your deal. No need to blow stuff up, either. Every try-hard youtuber out there is blowing stuff up. You be the weird car/snow machine guy who makes a motorcycle out of a recumbent bike. I think you have the sense of humor and skills to do it. Carry on.
That intro - 10/10 That's an awesome bike. I used to have a 80s RM125 that was bored 30 over I got it running and immediately blew a head gasket then I fixed it and broke the cam sprocket, then I sold it for a little Honda cr80 that literally could not die. Regarding this KLX 250 I would like to see it go all the way through the selling process even if i have to wait a few months for it. Cool video, hope to see more.
I love the smaller engine videos, but don’t limit yourself to one thing. Experiment a little and see what makes you happy and make videos on whatever you want. Not on what you’re expected to do!!!
Came here from JYD. Looks like you are off to a good start man. Looking forward to seeing your new vids a year from now. Good content. Good personality. Good fishing poles on the wall. Sounds like a good camera operator with you. The future is wide open for you! Keep up the good work.
You're going to want to change that oil before it burns up the clutch... it requires motorcycle oil because it is a wet clutch the friction modifiers in car engine oil will destroy the clutch. Also great content can't wait to see more content
Just something I noticed, when you spoke of the timing in your first video. You said the kz 250 mark should match with the top mark. In this video you said the kz 200 should match it. You might want to check that. Another tip... When adding music to your video try to keep the audio levels close to the current level that you are speaking at. We all love to rock the house from time to time but let us choose when to do it. Otherwise you're off to a great start
Well done and I'd say down the road a spell she shouldn't be to hard to unload for at least a little profit. Just when you do sell her don't sell yourself to cheap on the labor. I have no idea but I'd imagine the labor a dealer shop would charge for that would be astronomical. I do however see profit to be made in your future with that bike...
Great videos John always here watching keep me posted on things ok plz and thank you keep the motorcycle 250 restore it paint it black and yes I would like to see 3 wheeler's on your UA-cam channel as well very good content my friend God bless you always and stay safe always ok have a great day John
Junkyard digs sent me here I live and breathe old sleds and fourwheelers iam excited to have found your channel lol I got a ton of sleds i gotta start working on got a 78 citation 300 in my garage currently no videos of my build to busy riding my other sleds
A little JB weld and a jeweler's file and that old piston would be just fine.... Just kidding! Not kidding though at 0:25 into this episode, TMI! We don't need to know the layout of your bathroom. Also I was thinking that the damage was due to never - ever - an oil change and over heating. Basically abuse to the Nth level. After watching to the oil drain, yup! There was a handlebar to seat failure for sure!
U can use rubbing compound on the seat use a drill chuck on the val.stem and spin the drill and u will have a new seat. And push the val.in and out. U want to check if the val. Is close all the way.
Valve seating compound isn't but couple dollars, and cheaper than rubbing compound by long way, but your correct in a pinch, it'll do the job a little slower, but in the end yes.
As some advice for filming, when doing a tine lapse use a tripod instead of a person for steady filming and maybe put some music over it, but otherwise I love the vids!
Great videos , in europe (especialy in holland )people dont keep things lying around . And there isnt al lot of jetski snowmachines and bikes overe here . If you find one . Its terible and it costs a lot to buy and Restore theme . Im a bit jealous 😉. Keep up the good work .
Got your channel from Junkyard digs. Couple of things you did really that are no no's when rebuilding an engine. You install the piston cir-clip in sideways. The split always goes up or down preventing it from coming out. Washing the crank bearings in gas?? Rookie mistake.
6:40....gas fumes gotcha bro!! Glad you painted the tank green.. Keep it man! Unless you really wanna sell it. (I love old dirtbikes...id of kept every one I had if I could've) - '81 Yamaha YZ80 - '85 Honda XR200 - '71 Honda CB350 (streetbike) - '79 Yamaha DT100 *- '74 Yamaha MX175A #50 of production (family heirloom...never getting rid of it) Look up on UA-cam "First Kick in 10yrs '74 Yamaha MX175A"....
Nice to hear it run reminds me of my 250 trail boss that sucked a sheet metal screw into the crankcase from somebody's airbox repair.... broke the piston skirt and wedged into the counterweight. Did you say you have a Michigan payloader too? We have to see that.
Loving the content👍 Much better than my first videos😁, good luck registering the bike. Keep up the good work & I hope the channel gives you what you want it to. Cheers Larcs
Congratulations on school! Great job with the bike and love the Old Timer pocket knife. I carry a Case Mini Trapper or Stockman most days. Keep up the great work.
It's not that bad running 2 different oils. My cousin once had a truck that leaked oil so bad we kept putting used oil in it to keep it going. Half the time if my trucks need oil I just top it off with whatevers handy
Enjoyed the videos. Congratulations on all the subscribers for such a new channel. I sure don't have many. I would like to know why you use the 200 notch on the cam gear when you were working on a 250? I saw the 250 right next to the 200, and the other set of bolt holes. One more thing is I never would have pegged you for criminal justice! That is just too funny to me.
If you need a good camera let me know. As I have one that I am getting rid of bearly used with a few SD cards. I don't use it anymore on my UA-cam channel.
Perfect example of how we all feel when we get parts.
Here from Junkyard Digs. I think this channel has some potential. Pretty excited to say I was here before you got your 100k subs.
Same. Looking forward to finally being able to say I was with a channel from the beginning lol
right ?? I'm excited to be able to feel super nostalgic coming back to these old videos
Been waiting for this. That was one of the best intros ever
THE EFFORT HE MADE 😂 respect to him

Heyyy, my dream car is literally a AMC Pacer. But yes more love for the "lemon" cars!! I think John has a good niche here though. 😉
14:55 a buddy of mine called those “Jesus clips”. “Jesus! Where TF did that go!”
I want to get some more vintage stuff like the 80s hondas.
That intro - 10/10

Agreed about seeing the whole story. I’d rather wait to see it than not see it at all
Hey thanks man hahaha and yeah those damn Hondas are hard to kill.... ill definitely do my best on selling it and show you guys !!!
You look like Inigo Montoya from the old movie The Princess Bride at 23:33
I love the smaller engine videos, but don’t limit yourself to one thing. Experiment a little and see what makes you happy and make videos on whatever you want. Not on what you’re expected to do!!!

John, you look just like rod in Hot rod at the end when he is jumping the busses with his bike at time 23:15 classic man,
You're going to want to change that oil before it burns up the clutch... it requires motorcycle oil because it is a wet clutch the friction modifiers in car engine oil will destroy the clutch. Also great content can't wait to see more content
This is good advice. Use motorcycle/ atv oil. Will usually specify it is for wet clutches.
Here for the Mullet and snowmobile content.....
It’s kinda like a rebuild video... just more entertaining 👍
Crim J for the Eagle Scout. You should be proud of yourself!
Thank you!!

(Trying to cop a '78 Bronco lately or an '88 F150 SB)
Sweet bike. Had a 1974 KX 250 back in the mid-70s. Loads of fun. Guessing your KLX must be about a 1980?
Yoyoyo.... turn that sucker into a supermoto!
Maybe use oil instead of grease on engine parts it’s probably better than getting geese in your oil
Junkyard digs sent me
Beer can handle fix HELL YA!
Junkyard digs send me:-)
Hahahhahaha great intro! Love the dirt bike stuff, easy and cheap. Great channel pal👍🏼
Nice to hear it run reminds me of my 250 trail boss that sucked a sheet metal screw into the crankcase from somebody's airbox repair.... broke the piston skirt and wedged into the counterweight. Did you say you have a Michigan payloader too? We have to see that.
