I'm with ya, Krip. Almost all I play is Arena, and I haven't logged in in weeks due to how unfun the current arena is. Between forcing "synergy picks" that basically handcuff your first two choices and the switch to standard, I've been having much less fun with the only game mode I really play.

Hit the nail on the head at 8:34. That's the entire problem with hearthstone at the moment, in all formats. Quests, tavern brawl, end of season rewards, arena rewards, all incentives in the game revolve around winning, but you don't win with game knowledge and skill anymore, you're essentially "rewarded" for luck. Even if you don't care about winning, the amount you can play arena is limited by winning, but trying to win isn't fun because winning isn't determined by skill. Plus, deathknight cards are actually just boring after you see them all 4-5 times, especially the insta-win ones.
there was a thread on reddit proposing an arena rotation each 1-2 months where you draft between 3 sets of cards, for example kotf, old gods and naxx. its a very good solution and would keep arena fresh. it also would help new players and old players that stopped playing experience old arena drafts, i personally regret not playing arena while old gods was new.
His issue isn't that the game changed for the worse, most of the issues he mentions have been present for years, like when was there a time when you could try and draft some ridiculous off-meta combo deck in arena and expect it to work? Never is when. His problem is that he's bored with the game, that makes him not enjoy it like he used to, so he starts paying attention to issues he hadn't noticed before. If the devs fix those issues, unless the game is completely changed to the point of being entirely new game, he'll still be bored with it, he'll still not enjoy it, so he'll come up with new things in need of fixing. It's completely normal to get bored with a game you play lots of. I've played games since I was 7, and I've never had a game I played daily or even several times a week for more than a couple of years. I took a break from my favourite games, came back after a month or a year or two, and was able to enjoy them again. That's his solution as well, take a break from the game, most HS streamers I know have done this and it didn't kill their channels, then after he comes back he will probably enjoy the game again
+Exantius E None of your arguments are accurate and some don't make any sense. His problem is not with boredom at all. It's with the actual balancing of arena currently. You sound like you haven't played or seen him play lately.
10 games, regardless of win or lose, is a great idea. I'd play a hell of a lot more arena if I didn't have to worry about the fact I might only get to play 3 games with what I draft.
I feel ya. Started playing just before Naxx, mostly arena but a little ladder, too. The Frozen Throne killed my love of the game, and I haven't played in over a month; can't see myself coming back, either.
Five years later nothing has changed. Tried playing Arena twice last month. Nothing but the same I WIN legendarys dropped on me. Uninstalled all over again. Arena is constructed.
I wonder what it would be like if Arena was more of an actual draft. Like you open, say, 50 packs and have to make a deck from the cards found in them (and the Basic Cards, naturally).
The sealed format has been discussed and seems pretty solid, except for two things: blizzard will never do it, and you can still end up with crazy variance. I like kripp's idea about everyone getting 10 games in, pulls the new players in so they can get more practice for their gold, but the reward structure still needs to benefit those with more wins. The matchmaking system would be pretty nuts though, if you've only won 1 game in the last 7, they'd have to match you up with another drooling noob, no offense to droolers.
Blizzard couldn't care less about arena, that much is pretty clear. Busted cards at low rarity, stacking the deck in Mage/Rogues favour, and adding synergy picks that lead to flat out unfair Deathknight cards. Hearthstone is so frustrating right now, so glad I switched to better games.
i mean kripp constantly mentions and returns to shadowverse as an example, which has the advantage of A) giving a bunch of free shit and b) rerolling accounts other than that most F2P card games are gonna try and get money out of you, even SV eventually youre gonna feel the need to spend money (though probably not as much) and sv has the issue that the devs have clearly said they want a fast game. that said control is a thing its just good control decks have clear cards that basically (or sometimes literally) say 'i win now'. so yeah if you want a generous game, sv is probably the best bet but be prepared for fast aggro, consistent combo and control wincons that pretty much always end the game within a few turns of being dropped but theres less rng bullshit so thats a + :)
Faeria is a good game with neat mechanics and is generally friendly to new players and F2P players, so is Gwent although I don't love it personslly. Pauper is also cheap as hell, it's commons only and it's basically constructed arena lol. Draft is great too.
I actually played Magic before Hearthstone, and while I think it's a better game than Hearthstone, it requires my physical presence somewhere while I can play Hearthstone on my commute/walking/while waiting for something. I need something like that. I know Shadowverse has a mobile app but I don't like that you can have 3 copies of a legendary in a deck. I know Gwent is digital, but heard it was lacking in the interactivity department? Idk. But is Pauper digital? Because I've never heard of it.
You can get Magic on your phone and Magic Duels is on PC and console. However, Magic Duels asks for money pretty frequently although not as much as Hearthstone. And Pauper is a game mode in Magic.
When you consider how much money blizz makes off this game, and how little it's grown, and how shit they still are with balancing, over the years it really puts things into perspective
Exactly what you said!!! I also play mainly arena, but this expansion i just stopped playing. You did a great job describing exactly how I feel about it right now. Hope blizzard are listening...
It turns out, if you get lucky, and then you get lucky again, and then you get lucky again, and again, you win at Hearthstone. And then you get super super fucked, and you play less Hearthstone. And then a different game. Hardcore Kripp is coming back soon kids
I find it helarious that Kripp gets beyond lucky in most of his draft picks and card draws and still complains. Kripp was never hardcore so don't think that's ever gonna happen.
I like the set number of games, and totally agree about the randomness and lack of consideration for limited play. I feel more card choices per draw is important too.
Arena needs to open up one expansion for draft every season and cycle between them. Why haven't they done that yet? Since you don't have to own the cards it always keeps the arena meta fresh and it's very easy to program
erich casey Because people would save decks. It would be great if Blizzard could some how force retire everything in arena at a set time. But they are a small indie company. They don't have time for that.
Give the player the rewards he has earned (rewards for 3 wins for example), return his gold and retire his deck. It's not really that hard. Don't know why they haven't done it.
My favourite deck to play in arena is 27 Neutral Minion Mage. Featuring special guests Frozen Clone, Volcanic Potion, and Coldwraith. My favourite part about playing it is when I get to 2-2 and fight a Mage with two Flamestrikes that absolutely destroys me. After losing to a Death Knight Mage and a super greedy Priest 👌 I'm only a little salty. When I pick Mage, more than any other class, I feel like I shouldn't need to rely on Moat Lurker for removal. In the 10+ Mage Decks I'vw drafted since Frozen Throne, I haven't even been offered Primordial Glyph. I'm convinced that it doesn't exist. Also no Death Knight yet. I only ever seem to get Keleseth in my synergy picks.
TMOSP thats exactly my mage experiance in Arena, i don't even bother picking mage for a second becaus i get about 2 or 3 spells everytime and they are like shatter or some other rly bad cards.
Win-more cards without condition shouldn't exist at all. I would be okay with something like "if your C'Thun has 12 ATK or more - draw 2 cards" but something like "Pay 9 mana, destroy all strong minions, replace your hero power with better one and gain 5 armor" - not okay. Also, card rarity should be balanced for all players. Let's say: 2 leg, 4 epics, 10 rares and 14 commons. And not like legendary - garbage- garbage - legendary, higher rarities first. This will allow players building decks around those powerful cards which makes is some-how-ladder-like-experience. And for the last one, Deathknights have no right to exist in arena. Not only Jaina and Anduin, all of them.
That's the risk you're taking by playing those high rarity cards with strong synergy. You're playing Shaman? - maybe those spicy elementals will do since you have lots of them as class cards. You're playing warrior? - pirates will do. Just like that. In Hearthstone, legendary cards is something worth building your deck around, they're limited to one per deck for a reason.
Deathknights shouldn't exist at all, jsut like all the broken ass synergistic 1 and 2 and 3 drops. I love dying on turn 4 but not every other fucking game.
I can't say that I really don't like them. I don't like the way you activate them. In my opinion, they shoul've use quest mechanincs for them. Right now the only limitation on their use is state of the field and that goes not to all of them.
In magic when they reprint cards they will often change rarities on cards so in drafts they show up more or less or so a bad rare will be an uncommon and you don't play with one useless rare.
An Idea for an alternative Arena mode, or at least a special Tavern Brawl: Standart Arena rules, except that when you lose a match, you can choose to swap your class and deck with the winner. I think that will be awesome and very strategic.
Awesome idea to have arena always be 10 games. Really gets the new players into it to get their money's worth of practice in. Reward structures would have to be tweaked a bit, but still based on "mo wins mo better". On a side note, I won't play arena again until they get rid of Jaina DK, hopefully we'll see that this next patch update.
I think 2 mechanics they could add to arena to make it better are giving everyone a redo draft, at 0-0 you can toss a deck and redraft for no cost once, and allow you to draft all 3 card options instead of picking one.
I'm with ya 100% Kripp. I thought maybe I was still just rusty after missing Un'goro, but the runs seem all over the place. Your comment about how that 'crazy DK deck' guy can get unlucky and you then play them at 2 wins has happened to me a lot, and I've also been that guy. It makes learning tougher too, because you often get totally fucked even though you might have played it correctly, and that is punishing correct decisions subliminally. You played 'right' but lost, so you assume you did something wrong. I used to average a little over 6 wins back before un'goro (stopped playing during that xpac) but I'm having a hard time getting back to that point. Plus, it's less fun these days due to these issues.
In my arena drafts, the first draft is always between servant of kalimos, tolvar 3/5 divine shield, or coldlight seer (+2 murloc hp). its getting to me
I agree on all points he makes. Also a big problem is that the classes are already not balanced. So getting warlock, warrior or druid can be really dang annoying. Another problem is that since the last expansion each card got an effect to replace itself making arena a battle for who got the better “replacement“ effects not the best skill in building a deck or using your cards. In my oppinion the worst cards right now are bonemare and fledgling, since both are so unbalanced in a format like arena. Fledgling asks for a solution the turn it is played, which isn't easy in a regular arena game. Bonemare on the other hand just forces you to keep their bord clean but you can't. I always won when I slammed a bonemare on the bord with a target.... With legends and epics much more common, classes like mage, priest and rouge are benefiting imensely.
Also it seemed pretty balanced. The win boiled down to draw RNG, it had nothing to do with the decks. Also, I think Kripp failed by not playing the 5/5 elemental on turn 6 to chain into the two "deal 5" elementals. It all went downhill after that decision (12:49)
It was a bit exciting after deathwing, but that deatwing was after RNG against a brutal priest deck on 2 losses in arena. Proves the point Krip was making in the video.
i want a Brawl where you can just choose from all the cards in the game (yes, cards from all classes) to build your deck. theres only one class (say some boss or smth) that has access to all the cards. I just wanna see what rediculous combos people come up with
It's okay Kripp I went 4-3 today with 3 Fireball and Mage DK because I played against 2 Warlock DKs and a Priest DK in the 3-4 win area. I feel your pain.
I have been playing HS since beta, but I finally stopped playing HS this expansion, and I am so glad to be done with it. I don't know how it took me so long to stop playing. Every expansion we are expected to drop at least 50 bucks on new cards just to stay relevant. I'm tired of it really. There are much better games out there Kripp, and I bet a lot of us would enjoy seeing you playing something else.
You should play more constructed then. There's a nice variation: like Prince-rogue, highlander priest and more prince rogue, and more highlander priests.
How would you feel about a mulligan at the end? After you draft your 30 cards you can pick 3 cards that you can re-roll? Sometimes I'll pick a synergy card and never find anything to combo with it so if I could re-roll a few I could either give up on the synergy or have a couple more chances to find the synergy
I really hope you find a new game Kripp. Blizzard in general is getting waaaaaaay too used to riding on the past success they have built and so many of their games have been turning into crap. They need a monetary reality check
their games is fine ?? xDDDD the only games that really go into more of a positive area is WoW, others is either a dead game with rarely any attention to it or Balancing issues crap that is OW and HS. Blizzard know their target market and that is : Casual Players. The day of Diablo II hardcore and Warcraft III already passed, since the day of Diablo 3 released they knew what to do and ever since then their game is made around to please Casual Players. There is not much depth, fucking even WoW since Cataclysm is getting more and more updates for "Casual" friendly.
Starcraft 2? I would agree through. It seems like Legion was the last great thing they did. Overwatch is... a good game, but it's definitely far out from what people are used to in terms of Blizzard games. As in, I forget that Overwatch is a Blizzard game. It feels more like an Activision game (which I understand sounds stupid but I'm trying to put my opinion in words and that's how I would describe it).
I feel like a lot of people, including myself, still feel a little burned with how they handled diablo. Going from a really challenging and sometimes difficult game and then just dumbing it down. I know diablo 3 has gotten better from what I've head but still kinda burned by it. But I feel like that's what blizzard has done with most of their games any more. Just make them fairly easy that way they pull in the most users they can, which is smart from a business prospective but kinda alienates your core player base.
Just brainstorming but what about an arena where you first pick (or draft) three expansions then draft cards from those expansion. -You get the ability to read your opponent a little better -Give arena a huge variety of deck -Add depth to card drafting
I really enjoy arena right now and my worst performing deck since i came back to hearthstone was my kazakus and frost lich mage deck with 6 or so wins. shout out to keening banshee.
TL;DR Kripp really wants to play Shadowverse Take Two in Hearthstone. I'm surprised he didn't mention Eternal Draft mode, it's one of the best "make your deck" format I've seen
My last Arena match was the last nail in my coffin for this expansion. I played against a Priest with 4 Draconid Operatives, Deathwing Dragonlord and 2 Deathwings... Both of which were in hand when he played Dragonlord. Fair to say that my 64 point Mage deck didn't do so well against that. The bullshit seems more extreme in this expansion, decks all seem to be either utterly horrible or absolutely incredible.
I love CCG and hearthstone but yes i agree with you Kripp. Im playing Eternal Card Game (free to play on Steam) and i feel that Eternal is what Hearthstone couldnt go for. You played Eternal on the paid promo. I really recommend the game for those who loves CCG. (No PTW game, LOT of free content)
Arena's problem is that the deck quality across the board is at an insane level. Even crazy good decks at 70+ on Hearth Arena are lucky to get double digit wins. Average to mediocre decks in the past could go to 6-7 wins with good play and a little luck, now getting to 5 wins is incredible. It feels more then ever now that how well you do is based almost solely on your opponent's card quality and answers, not your play.
Yeah I have a lot less fun in arena now than I had in Un'Goro. Aside from the broken hero cards, there's just a raft of win-more cards that result in either crushing the opponent or getting crushed yourself.
Don’t quit hearthstone. Here’s what you do: start recording arena runs and tavern brawls just enough to get seven days worth of content. THEN Start playing random games with your fans. Divinity, civ, pillars, path, armello are all great for the fan interaction
I remember when Kripps videos were like life lessons. He would talk about the games he played and what he learned, his tactics and expierences. Nowadays its like watching a baby crying in the sandbox because some other child smashed his sandcastle.
same here, average winrate dropped drastically since frozen throne, it's more rng than ever before. It's impossible to play around every counterplay, so it all comes down to deck quality and rng.
Kripp makes boatloads of money from hearthstone...if i made that much money playing a video game it could be the worst game on the planet and i would still play it for hours a day....
An important point he left out is the pay model. If i want to play arena more or less constantly, i have to get 7 wins. 7! I work a full time job, i cant spend a majority of my time training hearthstone. Some people might say that i break even at 3 wins because i get the free pack but thats not true! I get the same value as a reward, thats right- but im not allowed to play anymore because i dont have the gold. Such an ammount of greed is only known to me by mobile games like clash of clans or something. It makes every loss so frustrating.
I really dislike the state of hearthstone right now and agree with Kripp. But ironically, the last 4 arenas i played this week, I had 8,7,9 and 8 wins... The wins i get are often super stupid and lame and I hate it but this is one of the best streaks I ever had.
Completely agree. The new expansion wrecked havoc in arena. I sometimes go far with a 62 deck priest and go 2 - 3 with 74 deck mage, just because of key cards like bonemare. And the draft is worst too. One card I cannot stand seing anymore is Furnacefire Colossus. Mage is my favorite class. But it really gets to me when i see that shitty card. And i see it every draft lately. Once i even saw i three times. With Mage! And the third time i had to pick it because the other picks were actually worst! I wish they would just remove it from arena or at least make it more unlikely with classes that don't even have fucking weapons.
I think that flappy bird is ok for arenas even though he can easily be op. But I like those op cards more than swashburglar. It is so frustrating, when you play out a whole game just to see that the opponent good lucky and totally destroys you after 5 min of playing. That is so much wasted time. With flappy you at least know whether you loose now or not. But swashburglar may decide the game 13 turns later.
it's funny, atm, my arena average is the highest it has ever been! still not infinite player and I only ever made it to 12 wins (not this expansion) once. the funny thing is, it seems that the highest rated decks i drafted in the past weeks, have gotten me the worse results! my average in these past 3 months has been ~6 wins, but the better my deck score, the higher the possibility of only winning 2-3 games. :D I am quite excited though, as in the last 14 days, my average has gone up to 8 wins per run - so I may be that infinite player atm, only it fluctuates too much, as Kripp has exploained here and most runs (it seems) I finish with 4-5 wins, others with even less... though, I haven't gone 0-3 in quite some time! I'm playing far less arena as well, dunno if that has to do with the fun/quality of ot, or simply my goal of achieving LEGEND for the first time, soon.
You have a mix of huge tempo swing cards that you either have an answer for or don't mixed with a 3 year old game with tons of experienced players so there isn't huge disparities in skill anymore
I posted this on another video, but arena should have modes. Not just wild and standard, although I think wild would reduce rng wins. You shouldn't be able to predict what your opponent will play based on their class and you can. Other than this, you should be paired with an opponent who has a similar quality deck.
Nicole Marie Very fair suggestion, still i also think that a lot of the frustration of Kripp comes from the fact that other card games developed the arena formula instead of being stale. Shadowverse haves the take-two system, making it more easy and fair to pick, you have always 2 legendaries no matter what, Elder scroll legends haves a fuck ton of content in their arena system including a solo-arena that even have bosses, and etc etc. What does HS arena offers now in comparision with its rivals? Nothing really
While I agree with what kripp said about the state of arena, that game looked fun to me, the death wing meant that it wasn't a totally one way game. Guaranteed that if Kripp won that game, it would have been in a video talking about an amazing comeback thanks to deathwing rather than saying "this match was lame and so is arena right now"
I can relate! Arena was the only reason why I played this game! and I haven;t played for a week now! my last 10 runs were just bullshit! I am surprised how I haven't uninstalled the game yet! btw what other cardgames would you recommend ??
I'm with ya, Krip. Almost all I play is Arena, and I haven't logged in in weeks due to how unfun the current arena is. Between forcing "synergy picks" that basically handcuff your first two choices and the switch to standard, I've been having much less fun with the only game mode I really play.
VegasLowRoller my average wins from all the expansions since ungoro went from 8 to 4 in knights of the frozen throne
Mine went to was 5 and went to 2 with pretty good decks.
VLR, what are you doing here? I hope you're alright.
Thanks Alex. I'm doing okay. Making travel and funeral plans, but otherwise I'm well, thank you for asking.
Depends on the server. in EU the top100 starts at 7.9 and goes up to 9 wins
*Here waiting for Kripp to find a new game to play as passionately*
vili rantala Maybe eternal?
Hoping for Gwent UI tweak. Game is good

The play/success analysis is really on point.
10 games, regardless of win or lose, is a great idea. I'd play a hell of a lot more arena if I didn't have to worry about the fact I might only get to play 3 games with what I draft.

The "10 games regardless"-idea, or something similar, is really very good.

opening 50 packs every arena run seems abit excessive
doesnt sound very different to how it is now.
open 10-15 packs I think could be a good idea
The sealed format has been discussed and seems pretty solid, except for two things: blizzard will never do it, and you can still end up with crazy variance. Rob I agree with you (and Kripp) on the 10 game system, if only because I am a complete dunce when it comes to Hearthstone.

I find it helarious that Kripp gets beyond lucky in most of his draft picks and card draws and still complains. Kripp was never hardcore so don't think that's ever gonna happen.
Mm don't think so
I like the set number of games, and totally agree about the randomness and lack of consideration for limited play. I feel more card choices per draw is important too.
Kripp's head when he talks in the beginning of his videos looks like the dolls with big heads that u put in ur car they keep shaking XD
I really like the idea you had about playing 10 games regardless of how many times and your rewards are adjusted to the new rules
Arena needs to open up one expansion for draft every season and cycle between them. Why haven't they done that yet? Since you don't have to own the cards it always keeps the arena meta fresh and it's very easy to program
After watching Oktoberbrawl, I'd love to have a GvG season, then a Naxx season, etc. Re-live the feels..or the pain, whatever your pleasure.
erich casey Because people would save decks.
Tomorrow Kripp will be a human.
Dude, no spoilers :O
what of he dies? He will be dead🤔
He will be a dead human body then.
But how can Kripp be human if we know that he may or may not be a lizard?
Fucking wrong! He's gonna be a vegan... they are not humans.
Love it when the synergy picks are the 3 princes
Didn't even realize how much less arena ive played till this video. Arena has always been my favorite and now im all in on wild
That was a great game to watch. Looked like Kripp was about to win too until that Devour Mind came in.
After losing to a Death Knight Mage and a super greedy Priest 👌
I'm only a little salty.
TMOSP thats exactly my mage experiance in Arena, i don't even bother picking mage for a second becaus i get about 2 or 3 spells everytime and they are like shatter or some other rly bad cards.
very well put Kripp. I only played arena in ungoro honestly and enjoyed it for awhile but now I can rarely win in it.
1:32 I just love how self-aware Kripp has become lately.
that 10 game idea is a great idea. I draft decks that i care more about playing than winning with and to be forced to retire it at 3 losses sucks
Being able to cut cards after the Draft would be really awesome. Like, drafting 10 more and then cutting 10 of them.
I really like your streams and vids, i well be very sad if you stop playing hearstone. Most of the time your videos make me smile and cheers me up
Win-more cards without condition shouldn't exist at all.
Rot Morello Synergy picks should be last not first.
"maybe we should do something"
*Ben Brode laughing in the background
In magic when they reprint cards they will often change rarities on cards so in drafts they show up more or less or so a bad rare will be an uncommon and you don't play with one useless rare.
Bone mere destroyes my arena experience every single time... Totally op
Poor Kripp men ....feelsbonemare.
An Idea for an alternative Arena mode, or at least a special Tavern Brawl:
Standart Arena rules, except that when you lose a match, you can choose to swap your class and deck with the winner.
I think that will be awesome and very strategic.
It’s sad to hear it, but Kripp is right. Hopefully Blizz won’t drop the ball on arena as we move closer to the next expansion
I know this is an old comment but by god that is such a horrible idea 😂
People would be going 0-3 with mediocre decks just to reroll better ones!
In my arena drafts, the first draft is always between servant of kalimos, tolvar 3/5 divine shield, or coldlight seer (+2 murloc hp). its getting to me
I agree completely Kripp. I used to get a fair amount of enjoyable loses. Know I'm getting to many horrible loses and frustrating semi enjoyable wins
That match was pretty exciting if you ask me
Also it seemed pretty balanced.
This is about 85% of my games in any mode. Really a nice game hearthstone
i want a Brawl where you can just choose from all the cards in the game (yes, cards from all classes) to build your deck. theres only one class (say some boss or smth) that has access to all the cards. I just wanna see what rediculous combos people come up with
Kudo TV Thought about the same thing it might be super interessting
It's okay Kripp I went 4-3 today with 3 Fireball and Mage DK because I played against 2 Warlock DKs and a Priest DK in the 3-4 win area. I feel your pain.
Damn dude. Kripp played so well I honestly thought he was gonna win.
I quit Heathstone half a year ago. never regretted.
There's a nice variation: like Prince-rogue, highlander priest and more prince rogue, and more highlander priests.
very very good episode!
They need a monetary reality check
their games is fine ?? xDDDD
the only games that really go into more of a positive area is WoW, others is either a dead game with rarely any attention to it or Balancing issues crap that is OW and HS.
Gwent?
Hots is actually a very good game tou should try it.
Its not as popular because of lol and dota but its a good game.
-You get the ability to read your opponent a little better
-Give arena a huge variety of deck
-Add depth to card drafting
They should do an areana similar to your October brawl: one week gvg, one week naxx etc.
Why i play less *Salt Mines*
Damnit, Singed
Damnit Singed
I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!

Skipperino Kripperino wtf dude, how are you here so fast?
dont question it, just let it happen
how the fuck
Some heroes don't wear capes
what if...
Skipperino Kripperino is Kripp himself! :O
Remember how fun arena was back in the vanilla days?
Gwent is w8ing for you man, very complex game with high quality deck building and gameplay, you woud of like it for sure
Hearthstone? Not fun? I could've told you that months ago, Kripp.
totally agree
I wonder when kripp will switch games like he did from warcraft
Top 10 Anime Last Stands
Turtwig Po XDDDDD
Yeah I have a lot less fun in arena now than I had in Un'Goro. Aside from the broken hero cards, there's just a raft of win-more cards that result in either crushing the opponent or getting crushed yourself.
Don’t quit hearthstone. Here’s what you do: start recording arena runs and tavern brawls just enough to get seven days worth of content.
THEN
Start playing random games with your fans. Divinity, civ, pillars, path, armello are all great for the fan interaction
Fuck off with the fan interaction, lonely dweeb. Only you like watching content featuring yourself.
Perfect top decks after Deathwing
I remember when Kripps videos were like life lessons. He would talk about the games he played and what he learned, his tactics and expierences. Nowadays its like watching a baby crying in the sandbox because some other child smashed his sandcastle.
same here, average winrate dropped drastically since frozen throne, it's more rng than ever before. It's impossible to play around every counterplay, so it all comes down to deck quality and rng.
I never noticed how much his head shakes when talking
If your favorite part of a game is a bad experience 20-30% of the time, it is a bad game and you shouldn't play it.
Kripp makes boatloads of money from hearthstone...if i made that much money playing a video game it could be the worst game on the planet and i would still play it for hours a day....
have you ever been addicted to drugs?
DzekoVelez Even my summercar?
I guess people should stick to nintendo games then
He should switch to Gwent. A bunch of Hearthstone players have already switched. I'd love to watch videos of him playing Gwent.
hey guys how’s it going crane here
Check 11:55, those gadgets are everywhere.
This ones even better. 15:05
Kripp was right!!
But swashburglar may decide the game 13 turns later.

i want my wild arena back still
it's funny, atm, my arena average is the highest it has ever been! still not infinite player and I only ever made it to 12 wins (not this expansion) once.
the funny thing is, it seems that the highest rated decks i drafted in the past weeks, have gotten me the worse results!
my average in these past 3 months has been ~6 wins, but the better my deck score, the higher the possibility of only winning 2-3 games. :D
I am quite excited though, as in the last 14 days, my average has gone up to 8 wins per run - so I may be that infinite player atm, only it fluctuates too much, as Kripp has exploained here and most runs (it seems) I finish with 4-5 wins, others with even less... though, I haven't gone 0-3 in quite some time!
I'm playing far less arena as well, dunno if that has to do with the fun/quality of ot, or simply my goal of achieving LEGEND for the first time, soon.
My best arena in shadowverse was with bunch of combos and big cards where i got all them in nearly all games, so it ended with 4-1.
You have a mix of huge tempo swing cards that you either have an answer for or don't mixed with a 3 year old game with tons of experienced players so there isn't huge disparities in skill anymore
Adding a 4th pick to every round would help things considerably.
So remember when Blizzard said they could change the draft modes on the fly without patches? Now is the time to do so.
"It's hard to enjoy playing when.......the amount of play has to do with your success, but the success is like, HUGE-ly random"
Guaranteed that if Kripp won that game, it would have been in a video talking about an amazing comeback thanks to deathwing rather than saying "this match was lame and so is arena right now"
I made the best hunter arena deck ever, alot of two drops 13 good deathrattles and N'zoth, TWICE!
I can relate! Arena was the only reason why I played this game!
and I haven;t played for a week now! my last 10 runs were just bullshit! I am surprised how I haven't uninstalled the game yet!
btw what other cardgames would you recommend ??
Arena is now much like constructed. Great job, Blizzard.
