another amazing band of powerful japanese women - what the heck is going on over there ? for nearly 20 years now they have been coming out of the woodwork. i heard one song by them and instantly ordered their ep. all songs of this quality. these ladies are all professionals that have been around a minute. violinist ayasa formed the band - she also is in the group MORFONICA - a band from an anime series called BANGDREAM. guitarist yuki is from the band D-DRIVE and is one of japan's finest. drummer mizuki was in the band LONESOME BLUE -another great group. bassist wakazaemon has collaborated with many bands and other artists and has a youtube channel. rounding it out is vocalist akane minato who was with PREDIA , ARCADIA and MOCHI TO CHEESE that included guitarist kanami and drummer akane hirose from BAND MAID. they sound amazing and i hope they stick around a while

So glad you liked it! This song on second, third, fourth listen digs into your brain and won’t let go! There is something captivating about this band… they got me, just as Lovebites, Nemophila and Band-Maid did. The lyrics were written by nana hatori, a frequent collaborator with Asami & Miho of LOVEBITES on English pronunciation & translation. These lyrics are included in the video description in both Japanese & English translation, by the bassist, iirc.
The music is by EoE in collab with Mao who also collabs with a LOVEBITES member on nearly half of LOVEBITES music. Another connection is HIDEHIRO, drum-tech for both EoE's drummer MIZUKI & Haruna of LOVEBITES, and he played drums for Asami's Christmas Party, livestream with full band & backup singers, Mao was pianist, & they played songs by Bette Midler, Adele, The Police, Alicia Keys, Nickleback, Cheryl Lynn & Beyonce, among others.
Even further, Asami & Ayasa (leader & violinist) have worked together for years in a group Ayasa organizes as an ensemble to feature all participants, and other 'support' opportunities for other performers.
Japan's music scene has alot of intermingling & collaboration. Mutual support more than 'competition' it seems.
