Hi! Great job with all this descriptions, tips and all helpful info. I felt in love with your content and I will stop when I watch last movie from you ! Thank you !
thank you for the run thru I'll be shooting the COF on Saturday here in Australia. As someone who has not had the training that a lot of the other shooters have where I shoot, it's nice to see a run through and explanation on why things are done.
@22LimaRomeo i was listening to a few of the NRL22 podcasts and heard your episode then naturally stumbled apon it. Keep up the awesome work even us aussies over here appreciate it
Awesome walk through as usual on a challenging CoF, thanks. But I have a question that has pops from time to time at our matches. Instructions read "all gear in hand", but we have shooters with large bags just hanging on straps, not in hand. I notice you start stages the same way, so what's the deal? We let it slide but would like to know your stance on this. Thanks and look forward to you input.
Really good question. As you can tell, I lean on the side of it’s it’s attached to me, it’s “in hand”. You’re the first person that I’ve ever heard addressing this. And quite honestly, I don’t know what the right or wrong answer is.
Speaking from the point of view of someone who has just come back to NRL22 after 3 years off, our club's original interpretation of such rules was, one bag in hand or mounted to the rifle was it. Currently, I see virtually every experienced shooter with pillow style bags on lanyards. Personal take is, if you can't hold it in one hand with your rifle in the other, then it's illegal. Otherwise, there will always be an arms race to see how to compensate for awkward shooting positions. Yet, I know I am in the minority, as our club allows shooters to look like a one-man band when they step to the line with all their gear draped off themselves.
Rules question, while shooting "The Boston Flee Party", you shot from your knees *albeit a squating postion. The cof reads: "Seated (buttocks on the ground). Time stamp 6:09, I would call that squating, not sitting. If I was RO, I would not count your hits from your position. I interpret the order of fire to put shooters into a fully seated position to then make then reset to a standing position and then back down to a true kneeling position. Thoughts?
If you look closely at the time stamp 5:53. You can clearly see that my buttocks is on the ground. I don’t know how much more I could’ve been sitting unless my legs were crossed. The advantage of sitting the way I did was that it allowed me to quickly move from seated to standing. Also there is no specific order to shoot these positions in. It’s at the competitors discretion.

…And again at 6:12, you can clearly see the dust on my bum from it being seated on the ground.
Tough cof for sure! I surprised myself today and only dropped 4!
Daaaaaaanng!! That’s a really good run bruv! Congratulations! I’m guessing you won that match?
