I've just done my RHD (UK) 2005 E class as I was only getting cold air so thanks for the Vid RJ & Co :-) Just a few tips.... I lifted my fuse box as this allowed better access & I replaced the valve leaving the two heater hoses off as this made it much easier to re position & connecting the two hoses afterwards was very easy, I now have hot & cold air so very happy :-)
Great video I did this last year on a RHD pulling the valve was easy replacing it was a whole world of pain. It will only fit one way my tip is look at the angle you pull the valve out and the orientation as this is how it need to go back in.
I always install protection film, e.g., XPEL on my car headlights immediately after purchase. They help prevent rock chips and completely prevent hazing and yellowing.
Mate, its obviously your video is 4 years old now but my E200k looks like its just done a valve as well. I got a "Go to workshop" message but when I stopped it disappeared. but the heater stopped working. I assumed I had blown a fuse, but I haven't got a manual and I am not sure where the fuse is anyway. I've got 265K on my 2005 English import, so I suppose I have had a good run to date
Great video thanks, I changed the duo valve on my RHD W219 CLS yesterday, (same valve, location & procedure) and what a nightmare, took me 3 h. total and I’m not too bad with my hands. All my symptoms were the same, heating coming and going, and for a while only cooling! Unfortunately changing the valve did nothing, still no heating - any suggestions?
Jesper Larsen Glad I could have been some help. And yeah it’s a terrible job but coming into summer one you don’t want to put off any longer. Going for a drive would have got you temp quickly compared to driveway idle and the system would change over.
@@RJCoAustralia i have the same problem , but the pipes that go in the heater one is cold and one is hot. The problem is the duo valve or the heater. Thank you.
Hey Jesper, I'm about to spend about 400 dollars to buy the Heater Valve, and probably another 300 dollars on labor, and luckily I saw your comments on UA-cam, so please help me out.... You change the Valve, and it Did NOT work, it did NOT solve the problem? And where did You buy the Heater Valve from? any suggestions? any websites?? Thanks much in advance, Amedeo Goga
thanks.. just got a w211 e500 with low Ks and the heater is intermittent.. some people were saying just tap the valve assembly? also why did you get rid of porsche? which porsche?
My e200 211 blows cold and hot air at the same time! Hot air comming out from the rear edges of the dashboard.in the middle and back seats only cold.Is it the same issue?

Could a faulty duo-valve cause one side of the dual zone A/C to be warm when set to full cold. Drivers side is warmer than passenger side.

Zones blowing hot and cold are usually a sign of a bad valve. It’s a cheap part to replace and they don’t last forever
