I’m a pretty confident diy’er and really appreciate such a thorough tutorial…including detailed reassembly. Tackling mine tomorrow. Thank you!
Awesome!!! Well done. Pride of ownership reflected in attention to details.
Amazing tutorial, söta bror.

Make sure you get the correct part, it’s has got a different number of exits depending if you have a parkingheater or not.
Where is it located in w221.?
Great job mate

Thank you for excellent video .Is what you are calling Parking heater the one with button marked REST on e 280 CDI w211 model ,and as my heater works intermittently and been a RHD model and the control situated below the brake master cylinder not as easy as the LHD to change out thank you
very helpful
Thank you!
Bra jobbat mackan, du får dra på dig rysslandspälsen i bilen nu :)
Jajjemän! 👍🏻
Hi do you drain all antifrezze? Or
Just the anti freeze tank?
Just done mine on 2009 E220 Cdi remove brake fluid resoviour. Makes life easier. Best pay someone....
if the a/c is 4 zone does that mean the car has one set of valves for the front and one for the rear?
I have this problem too, but for me it blows hot in the back row and cool in the front
I followed this procedure and my a/c in my w211 2004 wagon is now ice cold front and back.
I have 90B3 electric heater error in W212. what can the reason ? any fuse ?
do you have familiarity with SL models?
is it possible to remove the barrier (around the engine) in order to get to the heat control valve or does it have to be the same process? remove the lining remove the wipres and covers etc?
I do not sorry
It's been a long time since you uploaded this video but would this problem appear on a Mercedes STAR or possibly Delphi diagnostics system?
Im not sure in what way the valve fails if it’s electrical or mechanical. Not sure it shows during diagnostics
Great video. What is a parking heater?
It’s a small diesel burning heater that heats your cooling system, so your car gets nice a warm
In the winter without starting your engine. It’s produces 5kw of heating power.
You can google webasto heater
i am curious how did yours go bad? ?
there were no lights in the dash? did you scan?
or better how did you trouble shoot?
I just felt that there was heat only regardless of the temp setting in the rear. I researched those symptoms and found that the heater control valve was a common problem
Mine is an W211.. E320 2005 Model. The rear heater blows only hot air but the front one works perfectly fine
So l think l need to replace HEATHER CONTROL VALVE
Any idea where l can get it in South Africa?
Regards
Brighton
Hello!
I bought mine at Mercedes, but I have seen them on eBay also, but not much cheaper than an original part.
Hello .. my w211 blows cold are but only in middle vents .. the side vents dont blow air .. can any one help me
Hi. My mercedes it is with webasto. Do you know if there is a difference between the two heater control walve. Car with webasto and car without webasto. Thanks
Yes the one for webasto has one extra pipe fitting. So order the correct one 😀. The one made for cars without webasto won’t fit. I did that mistake..
Thanks friend. So your mercedes it is with webasto? Thanks again.
And if you still have the serial number of the walve.? Thanks
@@vaneeftimov755 hmmm I think it’s visible in the video if I remember correctly.
A2118320084. I have found. Thanks. Have a nice evening.
Hello i have e 280 cdi 3.0 v6 with same problem is thet part same like mine?and can u send me link thx great video
I think the valve is different if you have 4zone climate control or less zones. And if you have Webasto diesel parking heater or not.
@@mackanistheshit hallo i dont have webasto i have button where says Rest
Your safest option is just to give your local dealer your vin and they will sell you the correct one. That’s what I did. It was like 50$
@@mackanistheshit thx man on fast answer and helpful video
Np :)
what year is your mercedes. ?
2007
you really disappointed me too you are a german and you didn't know this ?
all you had to do was remove the metal behind the engine and make room from sides but that's the way to do it. you don't have to remove wipers or anything else
Wow that is news for me :)
