2009 Commander. In my case, it was the seat on the opposite side. Loosening the bolts didn’t work. However, the seat belt latch was stuck underneath putting upwards pressure on the tumble release mechanism. With the seat folded, I put weight in that area with my knee while pulling the tumble action. Worked. Good luck to all.
i used this video, and the "sweet spot" eluded me for a while. The best I got for one seat was pulling the strap on the back as I pulled on the handle. Could it be time to rebuild the inside mechanism? Seat does not spring forward as quickly as the other side. One cause of problem was the straps from the center seat were not attached. This puts a lot of leverage on the cross beam so it was twisting.
Great video instructional. Unfortunately mine still doesn't latch even after loosening these bolts. I didn't remove them, but I've loosened them almost to the point of removal and both sides still won't come away. The latching mechanism actually feels a bit loose under there. I'm going to try hitting it with the straw end of a can of WD-40 and see where it goes.
@@khaliyahbreaja No it did not. I couldn't make it budge. Eventually, I took it to the dealership. They took things apart and found that the latch, the pulley, and the track we're all rusted so badly that they were inoperable. Worse, because the car is more than 10 years old they no longer make parts or keep them in stock, so they could do nothing. After I got the car back, I went to eBay, and found an entire sheet row for $600, another $800 paid for freight shipping to get it to my place, then I remove the entire seat row, and put the replacement in. That's was about two years ago now, everything still works.
Great video.......was really helpful. Gonna try this first thing in the morning. Thank you and best wishes for more vids all the way from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.

Had no clue about this. Haha wondered how to get to the back seat. Thanks!
Can that center section be removed and left out to where you just have the 2 outside seats on the second row ? Thank you
The middle in my 2nd road won't close why
Thanks man I have that problem in my 06 commander 5.7 just rebuilt with comp cam:).?
What about the middle seat?
The middle seat only folds down and not out of the way
Thanks it worked appreciate you
I see but I think something is wrong with it won't pull out I have to check into it...
Thanks
Thanks man save my mom some money
Or I should say come down to close like if I wanna put a bed on it.🤣
There should be a strap on the back side to pull for the middle part to collapse down. Sometimes they get stuck because they're never used.
Idk it even does that 🤝🤝
