Especially for men, to work in a paediatric and maternity and succeed in those practicum seems difficult from my side. Don't see much content anywhere about it. Hi, no I didn’t take any course through open studies. I did everything in-person when I landed. But if you can, do some of your courses through open studies cos it eases off the work load a bit

I arrived 4wks late. I took some of the vaccines in Nigeria, I did my CPR course in Canada, I don't think they'll accept it of you do it outside Canada. I'd advice you to take your immunization in Nigeria and come with the record cos it's quite expensive if you decide to get it in a private pharmacy here.

University of Manitoba is a good one, their tuition is affordable compared to most schools. Also check university of Prince Edwards Island (I think it's the most affordable of them all). Yes you can but it can't really go a long way. You can make lots of money in summer if you work really hard but you can't really make so much when you're back in school cos the program is very intense.

So with the link, I was directed to the IRCC portal for it and my school kinda guided me through it with a a tutorial. But you can definitely apply for it on the IRCC website alongside your visa application cos the wait time is as long as Visa wait time. Go onto the IRCC website search bar and just type co-op permit or follow a link provided by your school and you can go from there.

I also think you should check the requirements of the school you intend going to, you can also email them to get a first hand information. Hi, yes you get the long summer break off school but I guess it depends on when you resume your program. I don't think you'd get a summer break if you start your program in Spring. Just try and resume I'm Fall (Sept) or Winter (January) so you can work as much you want in summer. @gozzyjullie@gmail.com

Yes, it's just 2yrs. You'd be awarded a BSN when you graduate, then write your NCLEX and become an RN.

Do LPN write NCLEX exam?
They do in the states but in Canada we write a board exam called the CPRNE, we don’t call it NCLEX here.

Each clinical placement lasts for 4wks.
You can spend 6-8hrs in school
What about co-op work permit, did you apply for it?
I applied for my co-op permit when I hot here but it's better to apply for it alongside your study permit cos it takes a while for it to be approved.
