Much love for Fabian Schar, good to see him get mentioned as he has been fantastic for us as has our whole back line. Our best CB by a long way is Sven Botman though, you almost don't notice him in games because he's never caught out and never has to make a last ditch tackle, just easily intercepts and dispossess before the danger is even there. Guy is elite, can't believe he's only 22. He also hasn't lost a game yet 👀
I watch as much of the other top 4 leagues as I do the Premier League and noticed Botman a couple seasons ago when he was new at Lille. He stood out instantly, such a graceful defender. You got an absolute steal there- as you have for Isak, who I watched at Sociedad, just wait till he's back and proper settles in. Great player.
@@andthentherewasail394 Isak is a great signing but definitely not a steal, he could turn out to be good value but he wasn’t worth £70mil when they bought him
About the Everton backline when Pat was asked- Tarkowski has been different gravy. Vital blocks and clearances and just reading the game well- him and Coady along with pickford as our defensive spine with gana infront has me less worried than I’ve been for a long time. Patterson deserves a shout too- tenacious young player who’s only gonna improve
Andreas did impressed in Brasil. Had a terrible mistake at the Libertadores finals, but were Flamengo best player till that point in the game and one of the best in the season.
The thing is with Miggy, and why it didn't work out till now, was because of what was happening within the club itself. He came over, during one of our best seasons, which was Rafa's last season. He had a partnership with Rondon and Perez, it was all working. Then Rafa left, Rondon left, Perez left, Bruce came in, he gained new partners, but the main sort of play was 'Pass it ASM, as that's our only chance' which our playstyle back then, we basically either did nothing else, or were just terrible. So it was no wonder Miggy wasn't good. Could say that for many of our players. It's sort of ironic, how ever since we've been settled, that we've seen the best of some of our players. From Schar, Joelinton, Miggy. Proof in the pudding that something settled, can work wonders for a player, and show their true quality.
I think the football daily boys should do a full meeting with everyone discussing bout their views on football n have a wide range of discussion I think it would bang honestly
Sometimes I wonder do people really watch Brighton? Sanchez is an average keeper what makes glaring mistakes game after game just like he done at the weekend with Haaland guy gets away with murder because he plays for a small club and it’s not publicised
High time to put praise on Harisson Reed's name..........formed a really good partnership with Palhinha...has an engine for days and starting to add a bit of output in the final third.
Fed up of hearing that Beale left and Villa suddenly went terrible. We had a small new manager bounce and then since then we were awful. There were chunks of that time that were under Beale too. I appreciate that it may have had a slight effect, but he's not the messiah like people are making out. Also, who can believe Villa just pumped Brentford days after losing their manager and most of the backroom staff...
Kepa has always been good, may have had a few mares. It's a confidence thing, around the time he was stinking under Lampard, there were reports that he broke up with his childhood girlfriend which broke him. Now however he is in a new relationship and is flying.
@@davidfordham4066 you shouldn’t say that he’s a physical beast as if Licha isn’t. His ground duel / aerial duel success rate is freakish. You should’ve just said is taller
He's barely done anything all season. Hasn't had to. Leeds game he made 2 saves but they were pretty basic. Gabriel is the real underrated player at arsenal.
Quality show guys, would have thought De Gea would have at least a minor mention for his adaptation to a style of football nobody thought he could play though
Alisson deserved a shoutout for the gk. Best player for me this season for liverpool. Kept us in so many games. For me the n1 in the league by far. So complete
Am I the only one to see the effects James have on a team? United sold him then got way worse, Leeds loan him and have not won a game since. Mach will be sacked by January or Leeds will get relegated
Nobody is mentioning this, but Ronaldo's behaviour changes have followed his newborn son dying. Has it genuinely not crossed anyone's mind that he and his family want to leave the place where that happened to them and he's really struggling with it?
While possible, it’s best not to speculate on that as sport punditry. Kind of a taboo thing ya know? Stick to the game and things directly related to the game, you don’t touch on direct family trauma like that and how it relates to sport. Poor taste.
@@hello7032 I don't think people necessarily should be publicly discussing it directly, but some recognition of the extremely difficult time his family has had and an understanding that it may be impacting him rather than just constantly ripping him to shreds might be a bit more fair.
I love this video topic because its something that is very important to football analysis that often gets over-looked. This is therefore coincidentally a contender for the 'Most UNDERRATED' discussion topic on football podcasts! 🙂 Let's have another one of these discussion topics, updated, around the end of the January transfer window and then again at the end of the season!
IMO Ten Hag got out of CR situation exactly what he hoped for: chance to drop Football legend to 2. team without seemingly harming himself. I think no one should have ever asked player of CR status to be used as time killing substitute. That is the main issue for all the criticism that rolls over CR actions. Yes, he was wrong to walk out but his manager was wrong to use him as time killing substitute. That role is for younger or defensive players. Not one of the greatest attacking players in football.
I agree with everything you said about Ronaldo until you said Brazil. Like, seriously? Are you insane? Have you ever even watched a Brasileirão match? One of those moments you missed a good opportunity to be silent
can't expect too much from such a clown, purposely mispronounces names to try and get a rise out of people, doesn't do research on topics despite knowing there's a script to follow during videos, thinks talking about arsenal is the be all end all, it's honestly pathetic.
