Downes should be playing ahead of Soucek, man of the match in every game he has started in conference league this season. We hijacked the deal for him going to Palace in the summer, if he was at Palace he would be starting for them and they wouldn’t have so few points + he’s a local lad who supports the team which always gives your and extra 5%
Rashford is only a specialist against a high line. He’s never been able to make well timed runs in tight spaces. Not to mention his defensive work off the ball is horrendous, idk where his myth started that he works hard.
How to fix Leicester and the group collectively goes "F'n Hell man" perfect review. Starting Iheananacho and get better at defending set peices would be my start without buying any players.
To be fair to myself (Matheus, who said Man United had no off the ball specialist), I really meant that the balance of their attack was off, at least when I watched them. Bruno, Sancho, Antony, and even Eriksen all want the ball at feet to create. Rashford has been good and he’s been United’s best forward player so far this season bc he breaks that. I shat the bed regardless tho, just wanted to tweet something out tbh lol
I feel like Ronaldo can still play that role well if he can accept he shouldn’t be starting games anymore. There is no point in tiring himself out waiting for the opponents to get tired themselves. He has the energy still at times and if he just played 30-45 minutes he could be much more effective.
The Trent problem is simple, move Trent into the right of a midfield 3 and purchase a defensively sound right back to cover him allowing Trent attacking freedom.
SOMEONE BRINGING UP ELLIOTT’s DEFENSIVE WEAKNESS. Thank you!! I think that’s been a huge problem with their issues. Hendo has dropped off so yes, there’s been less cover for Trent’s defensive flaws but Elliott doesn’t cover him well enough. I think that’s why Salah has been playing soooo insanely wide, almost invisible at times, because he’s been told to cover for trent/ the midfield defensive frailty. It’s not a coincidence that as soon as Mo was put centrally, he scored a fast hat trick and outperformed the City players. Elliott played MUCH better defensively on Sunday during city and Milner took over for Trent and that allowed Mo to just move forward, not think about covering for anyone and just work on getting a ball in the back of the net.
Its still baffling why Villa sacked Dean Smith, saying he wasn't good enough to get them to that next level, then brought in Gerrard who isn't even on Dean Smith's level. 😂😂 🤷♂️. Getting promotion from Championship is far harder than winning anything in Scottish football with Rangers or Celtic. Gerrard will have to go if Villa keep slipping down the table 🤣.
Liverpool: I believe VVD is clearly holding back, probably afraid of missing the World Cup. TAA should just do the Bale transition once Salah leaves the club
This is a bad idea imo. Bales greatest assets were his raw physical attributes his power and pace . TAA on the other hand its vision, passing and technique and a large reason he's had such a bad season defensively is his lack of recovery pace and relatively not as strong as other players. Makes more sense he does what joshua kimmich did and drop into midfield
I hear the VVD thing but it doesn’t make sense to me, why would you want to play bad and not have a rhythm to the World Cup. Because from that injury you don’t suddenly tell your brain to make quick movements, unless you get in situations consistently to get your body use to such movements, it’s basically useless to hold back because you can’t go full out in the world cup
@@happinessismychemical667 I think that’s bad as well Trent will only suit as a RM. Because Trent is not press resistant or a runner which you need in the Liverpool system. His early crossing and switch play is his main strength I think making him play a harder position if he can’t hold down the easier one is not great
I'm not sure how you can fix Leicester short of buying a new defence, not a great result against Palace but the attacking movement was there, but we cannot be so reliant on an ancient Evans, and a frankly not very good Ward.
Fulham are never talked about and they should be, we’ve had to deal with big injuries to Wilson and Solomon with the likes of tete and Robinson also in recent weeks yet still picking up points and results. Marco Silva doesn’t get enough credit.
Need to move on from the initial questions a bit quicker lads, 20 mins on Liverpool alone at the start then you've to cram the rest into roughly the same time period. It's not the question its maybe the subject matter e.g, 20 mins on 3 or 4 teams is fine, just don't get caught up with the team in the initial question. Constructive criticism, love the channel for the most part.
I think Arsenal could somehow get away marquinhos playing if something happened to saka, real issue is the lack of depth in defensive mid position if/when partey gets injured
I think Lakonga can replace partey. Not as good but can do the job. Xhaka for me is irreplaceable this season. There's noone in the team that can do what he does.
Pat clearly didn't watch Villa last season. Numbers improved over the first month for Villa but since then they were awful. Last 10 games of the season in particular were terrible. Perhaps we should compare Gerrards numbers to Smith when he finished 11th rather than when they lost 5 in a row. Obviously those numbers would improve. Realistically it doesn't matter what the xg difference is when you win 4 in 21 with the 7th biggest wage bill in the league
This season is brutal as a Forest fan but considering we're probably gunna get relegated, MGW cost us 25mill not 42mill... a fair price for his age and talent. That is my silver lining. God what a cloud to be stuck in.
All this talk about Beale leaving being the reason Villa aren't great right now is hilarious. We had a small upturn when Gerrard first arrived and then towards the end of last season we were awful. All of which happened WITH Beale.

Should man city build a new trophy room now while the materials are still cheap enough. What do you think materials and labour will come down in the future and they should hold out.
People have mischaracterized Casemiro for almost a decade now. Because he played with both Modric and Kroos for so long, who were born with the special sauce flowing through their veins, he has been described as a more simple player. His role has been simpler than theirs, yes, and he has always played with less polish, but he's a very dynamic and well rounded midfielder. People act like he's the Brazilian Fellaini when in reality he plays like a better and more modern Gilberto Silva.
