My local course has a par four, where the fairway ends in a downhill into a LARGE ditch, and the green lies on the other side. If you over shoot, you will roll down the hill into the ditch every time. So, yesterday I had my wheaties and rolled it into the ditch. In the drop zone on the other side I found a Topflight hammer distance and figured what the heck, free ball. After chasing it back and forth over the green a few times, three putted the boulder of a ball into the hole. I promptly threw it away on the next tee box, and will do so from now on. Great series!!
I started to watch this, and you said Wilson Ultra 500, I stopped... and went to my garage. Got to my golf ball draw.. thinking, "Please no!".. slowly opened the draw and starred at my boxes of Wilson Ultra 500's.
Lol. The good news is, they updated the model and made some changes. So I haven't had a chance to retest the 2024 version yet. However the original version I tested was horrendous. One of the only Wilson golf balls ever that I was disappointed in. Let's hope the 2024 version is better 😃
I imagine sales have to be rough with the top flight. I don't know anyone who uses them. And most people I talk to can't freaking stand them. It's definitely going to be awesome as soon as I get to the top 50. Then I can start shedding a little more positivity instead of bashing all the losers 😂

Question: When you start getting to the better balls and comparing them, will there be some data presented for the rankings? I know you have mountains of data from all the testing you've done, so I'm just curious. I know it's a HUGE task putting all this together all by yourself, so I'm grateful for all your work. Eagerly awaiting the rest of the rankings and thanks for everything you do!
Yeah I definitely will sprinkle some data in there. I probably won't give too much away just to entice people to go back and watch the review, but I definitely want to give some highlight points and showcase the best of the number
Makes sense. Not much point in getting down to the nitty gritty for the lower-ranked balls, but I know it'll be tougher to differentiate between some once you start getting to the better stuff. Thanks again for all you do! @@GolfBallAddict
My buddy gave me a couple Kirkland Tour Performance, which he said were the first version, and was super close to Pro V1. They are 4-piece, and I don’t have the heart to try them for fear of losing them lol.
I definitely feel like Kirkland continues to go backwards. I never got the chance to try the first generation Ball but people told me they were awesome.
I would definitely check out the top 20 or 30 of this countdown. There's so many golf balls that offer an amazing value that will actually help your game and add distance opposed to the kirklands which I feel will actually hinder you.
Average swing speed is 92 mph with driver. That's how golf ball compression is measured, how it comes off the driver. Tested categories were 9i 7i 5hyb and driver
Like I said it's honestly hilarious that the big crusher didn't get the worst spot. If the ultra 500 hadn't been the biggest steaming pile of dog dookie I'd ever seen, it definitely would have held that bottom spot. 😂

I like the Wilson 50. It is soft, putts great, and my slow swing makes it a great ball for me.
Yes I agree it's definitely for slower swingers. If I had to guess probably around the 85 mph range or less
Great information. Why don't golf ball manufacturers advertise balls based on swing speed?
Some do. There are quite a few that will recommend them that way. However others don't for marketing reasons. They want you to buy the most expensive

Sad that the Kirklands dropped off but for the value and my skill level it’s money well spent on them

I thought I had it right. I was one off. I thought the Bigg Crusher was going to be 100. I remember it did not get a good review. I forgot about #100.
