  • All I have to do is click a button and now I can zoom around on my paddle board! Boost Surfing recently sent me one of their electric fins to try out, and I have been excited to get it on the water. So excited, in fact, that I didn't bother testing it before rigging it up... I know I am a bit dumb.
    Either way, I brought it home and made sure it was fully charged, and it hasn't given me any issues since then. Overall, I think this little product is going to be extremely fun for fishing off of a SUP.

    Despite the bonehead move on the first part of this video, I was really pleased with how the ultralight fishing went. I managed to catch several fish, mostly on the White Jack Worm. I must say... Fishing off of a SUP is truly a lot of fun!

    I really wish paddle board fishing, and sit on fishing kayaks were a thing when I was younger. Even though they are here now, my window for doing fun things like this closed a while ago. I've been fighting kidney disease since my early 30's, and now I'm on dialysis for the second time in my life. Thank you again for all the great videos, Ethan! I'm living vicariously through you!

      Thanks for sharing, Dan. Yeah it is probably a part of the sport I will enjoy for these next several years but someday I may need to go to a bit more simple boat system. Makes you wonder what else will come out in the future - the industry is advancing fast!

    Hey man. Thanks for the content. I just purchased the Glide Angler 2.0. What have been your opinions of the company and quality. I kinda went off my gut based on the companies mission and some Reddit threads, but there are little to no reviews on the new version of the board.

      I love my Glide boards. The first gen was good, but the next gen makes big improvements. I actually got the Mako but kind of wish I would have kept it simple with the 2.0. Love the new rod holders.

    I went out to a creek near my house , and fished with your double jig rig (with a weighted float above it) in an area where the bottom was full of debris and I caught three new species for me (a flier, a yellow bullhead, and a golden shiner), as well as a couple bluegill using both karma colored donkey tail jr.s !
    Made for a fun morning 🤔😅!

    What happens if you fall in with that thing running? Is there a safety feature to shut it off so you don't get dragged through the lake or lose your paddle board if you're untethered? I wouldn't feel safe using that if no such feature exists. If it does, did you test it ?

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  2 місяці тому

      You turn it off with the button, and you should probably have an ankle leash on to avoid losing your board. Overall I have had zero concerns thus far.

      Sorry for the delayed response here. You can use whatever jig you like. The 1/32oz or 1/64oz Mule Jigs are my typical pick because of the wire keeper and small hook sizes. The 6-8 size hook is the best fit for this plastic body.

    I'm SUPfishing on the Tallapoosa River in Alabama. Since mid-April to early July, Ive caught and released a total of 96, mostly largemouth bass, yellow perch, bluegill,
    and one small stripe bass. It's so much fun to get pulled around by a nice fish!
    I use very common equipment, ultralight rigged with soft plastic shadbody on 1/16 oz jig.
    Yes, I video every catch to document *personal best*, usually out there for only an hour or two.
    Anyone in central Alabama thinking of SUPfishing should join me on the Tallapoosa, wonderfully clean water, healthy fish, Cumberland Plateau Birding Trail, Forever Wild Wilderness Area, bald eagles osprey..
    edit: Update: caught #106 this past Saturday: 2 lb. Largemouth, Tallapoosa AL

    Before I got into panfishing my ultralights were all for trout. It was Jordan Knigge at Addicted Fishing (on youtube) that really promoted the Okuma gear. I started out with an Okuma Celilo 6'6" ultralight and a Ceymar C-20. I believe the 500 and 100 reels are the CBF models. I haven't tried those yet. I have become quite accustomed to the Daiwa and Shimano reels but what I will say is that I think the Okumas are more robust. The reels I'm using now are like a Ferrari. The Ceymar reels are like a John Deere. One is more fun but the other is more likely to still be operating after 20 years.

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  2 місяці тому

      That could be true. Honestly I have never had quality issues with Daiwa or Shimano so I guess time will be a great test. Either way, this reel just wasn't for me. I will play with it more and see how it feels as I become a bit more used to it.
