I always loved doing this with the hunter captain and the blister back engineer Combo. Stick about 6 anti air around tower with turrets and they can repel attacks.
I never thought of coraling the units through only one barricade area. I always had them go through the one branch, but never knew you could make it so that they only go through one of the two paths on that side. Awesome gameplay👍.
How are both armies on one side of the map? Why are the enemies not attacking on red's side? Is it just blocked by barricades the entire way causing the games pathfinding to go all the way around?
Hmm. Can the same strategy be done including floor spikes/en traps or is it required to leave an empty space? Because that may be what I’m doing wrong.
I have a guide I'm working but the slots on the outside are kind of goofy. There is one specific spot that must have a trap/spike while other cannot or are just optional.
Question why do yall set up the main base like that? You know only like 4 and two resources and a armory and at which slots? I guess its cause that they aren't symmetrical that bothers me but still
I know I already comment like 10 times but I just went back through the entire video again and you didnt get 1 single direct air wave the whole game. No wonder you lost no spires or took any terminus damage that's nuts I'm in awe so I'm just never gonna win due to bad luck is basically all it boils down too
@@theesnowman9265 I’ve tried playing again but any game I play either someone quits or I’m kicked cause the server couldn’t connect, I especially have this problem in firefight I can’t go 5 mins without disconnecting
Yeah I been trying firefight with friends again recently and the air just gets us every time 3 of us and 2 had fully dedicated anti air and the third was 1/3 unit cap anti air and still it wasnt enough in the later rounds they just ignored it and dropped damage on the terminus. Never has ground been an issue in our games just air and I desperatly want to know how to counter it if literal direct anti air isnt enough
I found that saving leader powers for heavy air waves and spamming them all at once helps a lot and if you have a spartan available use their hijack ability to get a tier 6 vulture can be a huge benefit!
@@theesnowman9265 yeah I mean we keep trying but offensive leader powers seem to do no where near enough damage to even get 500% health enemies anywhere near neath and as for the spartan thing that was next thing I'm gonna try get Jerome with three spartans all in vultures to try even the field a bit
@@theesnowman9265 Just finally got a chance to finish this and wow you are so lucky the last 10 waves were all flood so mo direct air chance what so ever and out of pure luck there was none from atleast 75 onward
@@KM-jb3vg I cant demand the game give me direct air lol even if I got multiple direct air waves they are easy to deal with. All you have to do is use nightingales or shrouds to cloak the spire.
You got lucky, you didn't have to deal with a lot of air near the end. It's pretty much impossible if you get a Heavy Air wave followed by a Direct Wave with the 500% boosts. Had enemy vultures just nuke my hero and anti air with their Phoenix missles.
So I don't play much but my buddy and I were playing tonight and we kept getting so many heavy air waves and just air waves in general. Are the manner in which waves come out random? Or does it depend on anything the player can do/does.
@@DATWagonator it's random sometimes you can get Heavy Air and Direct Air multiple times or a few. If you want some great advice, funnel them (A.I usually take the path of least resistance, the less barriers the higher the chance they follow the route) and use Banished Shipmaster because me and this random guy got to wave 100 with out even using mics. The strat is to funnel them to where ever the Shipmaster Player is, then make sure you funnel the A.I down one lane and have the Shipmaster Player max out all his cloaking perks/tech and get Scarabs and Shrouds out ASAP. Shrouds can cloak your barriers preventing A.I from attacking it, the Scarab hitbox while cloaked and block regular air and heavy air from flying past the barriers leaving ONLY direct air as a problem (Even then sometimes the double Scarabs can block direct air from flying past them IF they are cloaked). With the right amount of Shrouds (3/4) and conservative use of cloaks you can have your Scarabs infinitely cloaked and are the only Banished units that can take out Heavy Air in the high waves very quickly. The key player is the Shipmaster, the other player just makes sure that the A.I funnels to Shipmaster/Defend against direct air and heal the double Scarabs.
@@Cyberbro665 I was wondering why we kept getting air wave after air wave, but thanks we already train and path the enemies but didnt think of the other ideas with cloaking barriers, I did realize the cloaking of my troops was one of the best buffs shipmaster had if not the best because most of the portal options suck, I would imagine that the 12 oclock portal perk that allows you to open two 2 way portals is only for allied troops(if I remember correctly) because if you could use it for enemy troops you could make them go through the gauntlet again.

The only thing I dislike about Blisters is once a target dies the remaining missiles go off into space lol
@@theesnowman9265 that's fair. Its just the fact that you can disengage the whole group and use them as anti air
