The story and the sky islands were both HEAVILY falsely advertised to the consumer to make them think this was a new game. They somehow made the weapon system WORSE. One of the best parts of the game, creating vehicles, is ruined by the 30 second time limit on vehicle parts for zero reason. No new races, zero new memorable characters, revisit same 4 regions, but now they are grosser looking due to regional activity (they literally just covered Zora's domain in mud and called it a day....). Glyphs litter areas of the map and look unnatural. Dungeons and shrines can all be broken with the new abilities. Hardly addressed the enemy/wildlife variety issue. Sky islands were advertised to look like Great Sky Islands all over the sky. We got one island like that and the rest were random pieces of junk copy and pasted across the map. The trailers hyped up ganondorf and all of the cutscenes of him appear in memories prior to the final boss. i was so excited to watch him come back to one of my favorite games but im not sure if i can actually sit through watching this, i am seething at his level of gameplay
I really cannot believe that he played the entire game switching A and B in his head, to the point where he repeats this during the final boss, the entire time completely neglecting one of the entire like 6 settings to change that
As much as I wish Jerma had actually stuck with BotW and played it normally, it's almost worth him putting it off for months at a time and then insisting that him not knowing how to play it is somehow the game's fault. It's both infuriating and endearing. It's what makes Jerma...Jerma. The guy killed Slave Knight Gael in one try but he dies to non-Master Mode Calamity Ganon. Bless Jerma. 🙏
Probably for the best, considering how he played Breath of the Wild. And I don’t mean his gameplay….well, I do, but that has little to do with his skill as a gamer and more with the constant hiatus’s between playthroughs.
The reason jerma's so bad at BotW is because he never took the time to actually learn how to play it. He just rushed through the experience and brute forced the solutions and combat lol
i remember watching the first stream live and seeing hints of that, and we were all kinda annoyed in chat. and then the second vod hit, and they weren't hints anymore...he just straight up didn't want to learn the game. and then the third vod came out and i was actively pissed off, and based on the comment section a good portion of other BOTW fans were too. i gave the fourth and fifth streams a chance but i'd rather watch paint dry than jerma try to fit square pegs into round holes for 3 hours and never look at chat for actual help
Kinda bummed that he decided to go full back seat and try to rush through the game. BOTW is at it's most fun when you take your time, let yourself get side tracked, and actually engage with the puzzles. Feels like he played it out of demand and not out of fun, which makes me kinda sad considering he's an old retired man.
He 100% played it only out of demand, and for good reason too. Nothing in this game is engaging for players that arent Nintendo fan brand new to the concept of open world games
@@frankomancer This isn't really true. He didn't really try to engage with the game on his own, and clearly it's the kind of game which would likely work better for him if he played it on his own, and I completely disagree with the notion that it only works for new fans of open world games; BoTW's approach to exploration combined with its highly systemic design leads to a lot of emergent gameplay that is far superior to the vast majority of open world titles. At its core, it's an immersive sim with a lot of room for experimentation and emergent gameplay, and ToTK improves on that even further. I know you're full of shit with your reasoning because I'm not a Nintendo guy, let alone an open world guy, and yet I think BoTW and ToTK are some of the best games I've ever played. I'd like to hear which open world titles you enjoy and consider to be superior, if you can cite them. There are ones which are indeed superior, but I wanna hear them from you.
Guys, I was the guy who begged him to play this game again at the end of the previous stream, and it was like the monkey's paw curled. If I would have known that he'd do a speedrun with chat backseating, not even enjoying BotW the way it was meant (slowly and at own pace) I never would have asked. Of course it's jerma so he manages to make the stream very funny anyways, seriously I could watch jerma play anything. We joked for so long about him HATING this game, and this stream kinda made me unironically believe it. All I can do now is hope he comes out of retirement at like 60 and plays TotK without backseating and not rushing it.
it's really a bit ridiculous..... I think people need to be more willing to just log off and realize arguing on the internet about video games isn't worth it
@@OnlyEternalRainOther people being obnoxious isn't an excuse to act like a douchebag yourself. Why even subject yourself to this VOD if you inherently dislike the game being played?
@@flurpoid I don't dislike the game being played. BotW is one of my favorite games. I hate the fanboys that spammed Jerma to play this game, I hate the fanboys getting mad in chat when he doesn't play exactly how they want him to, I hate the fanboys who meatride TotK in these comments as if it isn't just glorified $70 dlc.
@@Wolfbarr01 I made 2 actual comments on the video, neither about TotK. The rest were replying to people who bring up TotK. Am I not allowed to discuss with everyone? Go fuck yourself.
As much as I love botw and would have loved watching jerma play it. He clearly didn’t really like the game and did not enjoy streaming it. The nagging to play it resulted in this stream where he just wanted to get it over with and miss out on half the game. Everyone loses in this scenario and it would have just been better to not have played it on stream at all.
I bet you if he ever plays totk hes gonna have like 5 speed runners in the background screaming at him all the strategies he can use to beat it as quickly as possible. But only because he loves the game of course.
Great stream, glad to see him back and finishing this! It was kinda weird though when every time a chat member praised the game, Jerma demanded the mods permanently ban them
As much as i agree, jerm did kinda tell chat to bet and backseat as much as possible. Jerm kinda set this stream up in the most enabling way for chat to be as shit as possible not to mention the timer that he imposed on himself lmao. Still i had lots of fun with this stream, i kinda enjoy watching him bicker with chat even if i do tend to find chat to be annoying more often than not
@@statiksea that's true, and I personally found it bad idea to begin with. Instead of enjoying the game's finale, he made it something to just rush through. Perhaps he didn't look forward to experience it and just wanted to be done with it though.
@@HeavysweatingI don’t know if he truly enjoyed the playthrough or the game, he’s not really Nintendo Andy so he probably doesn’t care that much, also it’s doesn’t sound different, since chat was doing the same thing during all streams of this game, everyone was yelling at him to do the thing they want and screaming at each other, to me it felt like chat was playing the game and Jerma was just moving the character lol it also feels to me that a lot of people wanted Jerma to like the game no matter what, since they liked it
Jerma has put chat in the driver's seat for a while now. Anything that happens in the game has him immediately consulting chat going "chat I don't get it, how do I ____" as the game explains exactly what he's ignoring. Sucks that this was the direction he took. Stuff like baseball stream is peak Jerma because he's actually doing his own thing instead of being a vehicle for chat. As much as dollhouse and carnival streams were cool, they display his need for chat to be in charge. I feel like he just went deeper and deeper into that rabbit hole over time. If he doesn't want to play a game, he shouldn't play the game. Who cares if he made a promise? Turn that promise into a running gag like Vinny playing Undertale.
I literally stared at this, like this is not real! I’ve been rewatching his botw streams from last year again literally last week! This is literally so awesome, love these and so glad he decided to finish the game
cannot believe i missed the stream where he went to rito village and met revali, i was so excited to be in chat and i couldnt be there to fight for my life defending revali's character
@@lilaclunablossom The localization team fucked up his character imo, in the original hes not a dick, hes just prideful. And admits that Link is just as strong, if not stronger than himself.
@lilaclunablossom it's actually embarrassing how badly the localization team fucked revali up...as DQBlizzard mentioned, in the japanese dub he's actually kinda like the prideful, boastful older brother to link who only wants to push link to be stronger to bear ganon. in English, he's not 100% far off from that but he's far off enough that it makes him less likeable and kind
This is a hard pill to swallow, seeing all these disheartening comments. I was excited to come back and watch him play again, especially after that last episode of exploration. However, if the streamer doesn't have the heart while playing what's the point. Rare Jerma "L" .
He HATES this game. In most of his streams, he was distracted by the chat, thinking of jokes to make, and kept running around, forgetting what he was supposed to do. He would skip important dialogue while reading the chat, barely talk to NPCs, and disregard any quest that wasn't part of the main quests. He was treating the game like a chore, and watching it felt like a chore too. Either give your full attention to the game or just don't play it.
He really ended this with a frantic, stressful dash to finish the game as fast as possible while relying entirely on chat, which is probably the worst possible way to play breath of the wild, I wouldn't have it any other way from Jerma.
that, and if he actually tried to learn it properly when he was only an hour or three into the game. if you go back and watch the old vods with chat, literally everyone was giving him tips whenever he tried to fight but he either read them and acted like he understood it, or didn't look and never learned.
welcome to the stream where chat ruins an experience for someone whos barely played this game by forcing him to stress about beating it in 3 hours instead of relaxing and having fun which is what games are made to do.

10:11 why do people have this mentality, only ever allowed to use the good stuff at the end of the game instead of during hard boss fights or difficult enemies. I understand the feeling of "wasted an item" when you buff up before a fight only to find out the enemy was weak. However you shouldn't let this fear make you never use an item.
90% of the reason jerma doesnt enjoy this game like you hoped he would is because people had the idea to put Emote only on during the puzzles. You gotta be atleast an adult to have realized this by now. Its a glaring fact that went over a lot of peoples heads including Jermas. He was so used to adding emote only when he started a puzzle that he lost interest in the game. Next time dont gate keep the answers to puzzles in a zelda game.

BOTW is at it's most fun when you take your time, let yourself get side tracked, and actually engage with the puzzles. Feels like he played it out of demand and not out of fun, which makes me kinda sad considering he's an old retired man.
botw definitely isnt a game meant to be streamed if you want to enjoy it
@@RedzeeTV It can be streamed and enjoyed at the same time. Jerma just decided to let chat play it instead of him.
I honestly don’t think he wanted to finish it but promised he was so this was more of gettin through it stream
All I can do now is hope he comes out of retirement at like 60 and plays TotK without backseating and not rushing it.
this is the jerma moment of all time
the way he just beat a divine beast all about riding updrafts and is actively RUNNING AROUND THEM while fighting ganon 😫
These comments are the most toxic ive seen this community, it makes me feel like ive been transported to another dimension
yeah this community is not the little wholesome place they will tell you it is
it's really a bit ridiculous..... I think people need to be more willing to just log off and realize arguing on the internet about video games isn't worth it
@@toiletseat777the real psychos were the friends we made along the way...
@@toiletseat777 It used to be, but, not anymore. Makes sense why Jerma is wanting to slow down and eventually stop streaming.
ever since the catboy stream the community was fucked
why did no one backseat hearty durians?
Because everybody backseating doesn’t know anything about the game
30:01 fourth stream in a row he's said this. Thank god the face cam was off this time.
He has the same comprehension of the controls as a toddler
I joined the stream just before he fought Gannon and now watching back, he def could have made it if he didn't dick around so much at the beginning.
damn why are people being so rude and pissy about jerma playing botw 💀 personally thought it was hilariously frustrating to watch him stream it
Because Nintendo/Zelda fanboys are insufferable, particularly when it comes to this game.
@@OnlyEternalRain "i hate the fanboys that spammed Jerma to play this game" like how you spam the comments about ToTK?
@@Wolfbarr01 I made 2 actual comments on the video, neither about TotK. The rest were replying to people who bring up TotK.
Am I not allowed to discuss with everyone? Go fuck yourself.
God this sucks, I hate how rushed the ending was. Makes it so much less enjoyable.
Damm there is no pleasing you huh?
@@ChannelAgainstHummanity24 And I guess any type of crap pleases you huh?
As much as I love botw and would have loved watching jerma play it. He clearly didn’t really like the game and did not enjoy streaming it. The nagging to play it resulted in this stream where he just wanted to get it over with and miss out on half the game. Everyone loses in this scenario and it would have just been better to not have played it on stream at all.
chat making fun of him along the way didn't help either.
it was funny
I genuinely enjoyed this series so much. It gave me a passion for Zelda and helped me get over my gaming anxiety.
Ganon is the easiest final boss in any game😭
Edit: and this guy beat sekiro
I bet you if he ever plays totk hes gonna have like 5 speed runners in the background screaming at him all the strategies he can use to beat it as quickly as possible.
But only because he loves the game of course.
i loved this stream. i laughed so much
He was so miserable this entire stream… the epitome of mad cuz bad
There is still so much left to do in this game. Makes me sad that he doesnt like it enough to keep playing
Great stream, glad to see him back and finishing this! It was kinda weird though when every time a chat member praised the game, Jerma demanded the mods permanently ban them
the way he cooked the blue snail and missed out on a full heal is killing me
the game didn’t autosave just so he could rectify that mistake
Ik a lot of you guys malded over how Jerma played the game, but let's give him some praise on actually following through with finishing it.
Chat was especially unbearable this stream. Screaming constantly to skip cutscenes and haul ass just so they could get some internet points
@@Heavysweating Yeah this felt more like checking something off a to-do list than playing a game. Unfortunate
I thought everyone loves Revali?? I never liked him, but
@@lilaclunablossom The localization team fucked up his character imo, in the original hes not a dick, hes just prideful. And admits that Link is just as strong, if not stronger than himself.
@@DQBlizzard_ Wow
@lilaclunablossom it's actually embarrassing how badly the localization team fucked revali up...as DQBlizzard mentioned, in the japanese dub he's actually kinda like the prideful, boastful older brother to link who only wants to push link to be stronger to bear ganon. in English, he's not 100% far off from that but he's far off enough that it makes him less likeable and kind
ELDEN RING DLC PLEASE COME SOON
This is a hard pill to swallow, seeing all these disheartening comments. I was excited to come back and watch him play again, especially after that last episode of exploration. However, if the streamer doesn't have the heart while playing what's the point.
Rare Jerma "L" .
I love how he had the same crouching problem from Elden Ring lol
He HATES this game. In most of his streams, he was distracted by the chat, thinking of jokes to make, and kept running around, forgetting what he was supposed to do. He would skip important dialogue while reading the chat, barely talk to NPCs, and disregard any quest that wasn't part of the main quests. He was treating the game like a chore, and watching it felt like a chore too. Either give your full attention to the game or just don't play it.
He really ended this with a frantic, stressful dash to finish the game as fast as possible while relying entirely on chat, which is probably the worst possible way to play breath of the wild, I wouldn't have it any other way from Jerma.
see you guys in 6 years for totk
WE WON WE FINALLY FUCKING WON
The Zeldoids really wanted him to finish it, this is what they get 😅
Jerma could have done better at the fights if he wouldn't stop playing for months and forget everything he learned before.
that, and if he actually tried to learn it properly when he was only an hour or three into the game. if you go back and watch the old vods with chat, literally everyone was giving him tips whenever he tried to fight but he either read them and acted like he understood it, or didn't look and never learned.
hes a coward that is scared to tell people that he doesn't like a Zelda game and would rather half-ass play this game and rush
“He’s made out of solidified shit, I can’t hurt him” best part
welcome to the stream where chat ruins an experience for someone whos barely played this game by forcing him to stress about beating it in 3 hours instead of relaxing and having fun which is what games are made to do.
the 3 hours was HIS idea, no one forced him...???
NGL I didn’t think hed be ABLE to finish it 💀💀
why is the comment section here so insufferable

its almost impressive how bad he is wtf
he H A T E S this game
Happy he finished this, but knowing he hates this game makes it very hard to watch.
that windblight fight is why you watch jerma playing this 😭💀
10:11 why do people have this mentality, only ever allowed to use the good stuff at the end of the game instead of during hard boss fights or difficult enemies. I understand the feeling of "wasted an item" when you buff up before a fight only to find out the enemy was weak. However you shouldn't let this fear make you never use an item.
some people are just really scared of loosing something even if it’s tiny. i think this mentality caries over to life as a whole not just video games

@@bottlebeard
i know but its about time he played a GOOD open world game
@@Ristyo1992 Lol I see what you did there
90% of the reason jerma doesnt enjoy this game like you hoped he would is because people had the idea to put Emote only on during the puzzles. You gotta be atleast an adult to have realized this by now. Its a glaring fact that went over a lot of peoples heads including Jermas. He was so used to adding emote only when he started a puzzle that he lost interest in the game. Next time dont gate keep the answers to puzzles in a zelda game.
