As someone who has never played Breath of the Wild I was expecting chat to mocking him for not immediatly understanding complex puzzles but instead he just doesn't seem to grasp very simple and intuitive game mechanics...
Watching Jerma attempt these puzzles is like watching a toddler try to put the wrong shape into the wrong hole, but every now and then he is able to do it.
idk man i'd put way more stock into the toddler vs Jerma. The toddler is still capable of actually improving meanwhile Jerma has played video games for most of his life and is still terrible.
Thanks for cutting out the hour in the beginning where he raged really hard and snapped the controller in half like a breadstick and shouted "I hate these stupid fucking controllers I can never press the buttons!" and Holly had to come in and comfort him with a warm blanket as he gashed his teeth and shoved the joy con up his ass effortlessly, it was a bit shocking live.

Like at 19:00 when you’re supposed to just use the ice to lift up the gate but he just brute forced it somehow?!? He does something later with throwing bombs to make a minecart go, I think? It always makes me think if the designers knew it could also work that way, or if he’s just wired so different that he’ll automatically think of stuff they never even thought about
Honestly thats how i did it in one of the divine beasts because i forgot you were supposed to use the ice thing that way, but i had trapped myself in the cage for like, 5 min before i remembered how it was actually supposed to be solved. I also didnt realize that in the elephant you were supposed to freeze the ball in the hole, I literally just jumped in and out of the terminal cage as it rotated because im dumb
1:33:30 as soon as I saw the puzzle, I knew immediately. "He's gonna stasis the button and try to scoop the ball out before the stasis ends, instead of putting a ball on top first, then pressing the button. Somehow he's going to do it the hard way."
the stone talus section made me lose my mind. i took a big bite out of my phone, left a big cartoon bite mark. chewed it up and ate it. i had to get a new phone. i ate the rest of the first one just because i liked the texture. anyway, it was mostly because same music started up over and over and jerma tried 200 times in a row... it was like being trapped in a time loop. that being said i love how jerma plays BOTW, feels like i'm playing it with fresh eyes :] great edit thank you

the inclusion of chat makes this so much more anxiety inducing as a viewer. jeremy attempting shortsighted theorycrafting when experimenting would serve him best, or just charging ahead without taking stock of the situation at all, as chat is in full gnashing of teeth and rending of garments mode. the man's brain Functions in its own magical way. i fucking love it.
i genuinely think he made the game harder by not using gyro controls too. i get why people dont like them, but things like vah ruuta and waterblight ganon are infinitely easier if you can do twitch aiming by combining gyro and stick. i also feel like it gives you more control on things like magnesis and quickdrawing
@@commandantcarpenter i played with gyro multiple playthroughs then was on a car trip and couldn't use it on the bumpy roads, that was the worst experience of my life. i couldn't do anything it was so stiff feeling

My favorite jerma moment is when he was climbing a giant skull with a sword on top of it during a thunder storm. The sword started sparking and jerma runs up it "Is that a LIGHTNING SWORD??" lightning immediately strikes the sword as he walks up to it and send him back down into a swamp.
what's crazy is that the title of the shrine gives you a clue on what you're supposed to do and he just ignores that (or hasn't realized it) and just starts trying random stuff

It's jarring to see chatters saying that "backseaters will ruin the game" while Jerma proceeds to invent the most nonsensical solution imaginable that takes 10 times the amount of tries a toddler would need to solve the same puzzle while chat is going insane watching.
It's true though, backseaters would definitely ruin it. I'd rather see Jerma do the most unorthodox methods possible to solve a 30 second puzzle than have a backseater tell him the solution. Watching it live might've been painful, but the highlights tho 👌
