Lots of questions for this year's Derby come to mind. Sierra Leone's hesitation and drama loading the gate makes me more than nervous. We have several late runners who love to come from behind (SL is not the only one), we have the home grown Strong Hold who won the Sunland AND Santa Anita. Then to add to the equation, we have the fastest horse of the group, Fierceness, a front running horse. The looming question is whether or not he decides to bring his A Game on Derby Day as he seems to have a history of inconsistency. He may also not prefer a wet or rainy track, so the weather will definitely play into the cards. At this time, I have not quite decided who I think will get the job done. Jay and Ray, excellent information. I enjoy listening to somebody that knows what their talking about. Fierceness set a track record win margin of 13 3/4 lengths.. Pletcher has won 8 times, and, Johnny V. 6 times. JohnnyV. is one of the best gate jockeys around. Jay, I would enjoy your opinion on other Derby candidates pedigree profile. Thank you, John.

I’ve been hoping you would look at the prospects for the Kentucky Derby. Although, today’s winner of the Arkansas Derby Muth is trained by Baffert looked great today, he won’t be running in Lexington.
I think Sierra Leone is a special horse. I don’t think Fierceness will be aloud to gallop out on the lead unchallenged again. The PP draw will decide my wagering strategy.

Oh, BTW, Keen Ice is the sire of Rich Strike. He's the horse that beat American Pharoah in the Travers Stakes prior to the Breeders Cup . . .

Indeed! He looked good today again. He will have a little longer bounce back than some, before the🌹Derby as well.
