Those back to back ditches at 30:39 scared me real good in the race as I couldn't see ahead with all the dust and I was trying to pass someone by jumping the first one only to find another deep rut to go through. There were lots of scary steep drops too on that valley crossing to Desert Mountain. It's crazy how smooth you ride, I don't know if it's the GoPro effect, suspension, or insane skill but this video does no justice to how rough and tall some of those bumpy/mound sections were in the first 25 miles of the race. I love watching these videos, thank for sharing!
Next to enduro racers, these are number 2 for total talent on 2 wheels. I raced Supercross during the early 80’s and could never keep up with my friends that raced desert or did 6 day X country
Scary fast ! There was a factory MX racer from the 70's, ( Rex Staton ) started desert racing when he retired. Said he quit after a few 100mph. get offs.
