I am 80 years old and just started drawing and painting two years ago when I retired as a college professor . You are my inspiration and I love and learn so much from your tutorials. I understand the danger that AI is bringing to all the creative arts and hope that you and others like Emma, Jenna, and Ellen continue to inspire.
I am 80, also. I started painting when I retired from teaching at the age of 74.
I am 82 and adore you.
I am 83 and also adore you! I love your dog and your farm and all the books you share with us. You're living the life I always wanted! Have tough skin and keep up being inspired and inspiring! I love the paints - Kuratake and 365 days Book and painters others have mentioned- and Wendy Unexpected Gypsy too don't forget. I'm sure this will work out for the best. We're having an embarrassing nightmare in the States too but it's nice to be old and know good things are just around the bend💕
Thanks so much Pat, Joyce, Shula and Rosemary!!! I so appreciate you taking the time to comment and am thrilled that you enjoy the videos. It means a great deal to me and I wish you many happy years of watercolor !! Take care everyone! X❤❤❤x
Zowee, so glad I found you. Looking forward to getting to know you and your style. I don’t understand how AI is taking over. Could you explain more please?
This made me so angry. Don’t get me wrong, I love Diane teaching her paintings, but the channel is more than just that. She is a friend to all of us and we’re a community. No AI could ever replicate the feeling we get from tuning in to the channel.
Agreed! ❤ It is silly, but I told my husband the other night that I wanted to go to France so I could be friends with Diane 😂.
Agreed! Diane is amazing
I want to go also!!@@heatherbozarth6152
Thanks guys, I appreciate you so much! I’m not going anywhere!
Listening to this video made me sad. Please, please don’t give up! I watch you almost every day.
Diane Antone I really enjoy your talent, your voice and your creativity. Please don’t ever sell your paints. Just your paintings. Those of us that take our watercolor seriously salute you!!
You, Diane, are a breath of fresh air in this crazy world. You are irreplaceable. Hang on! Your community will do whatever we need to let UA-cam know we love you!
Let me be clear about this….I love to learn from you! I don’t care what paint you use, what brush or paper you use. I love the little stylized birds, the loose florals, the abstracts. It all has value. It keeps me interested. It keeps me motivated. What you and your daughter do on You Tube is soo much work. I am grateful and indebted to the sharing of your collective talents with us.
Thank you so much!
Well said!
What a horrific situation!! I just knew this would happen! You and Emma and Ellen and Emily and Lindsay and Steve and Paul and Charles and Colin will ALWAYS HAVE MY GREATEST RESPECT and support!!!
PLEASE do not give up! I do enjoy your teachings. You are a WONDERFUL person in my eyes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!! 😃🤗
I have chronic pain and since finding your channel, I have started painting as a way of helping with my horrible headaches and migraines. You are like a dear friend that I will probably never have a cup of tea with as I am in America but I count you as a friend and I care about everything that you say whether it’s about painting or life. we must keep on with our chins up as best we can, and count like treasures dear friends we do have.
Yes I’m with you! ❤️
Diane, I am an artist because of YOU, and I want you to know that because what you do matters to so many of us. You are my number one influence. Thank you for not giving up. I watch you everyday, you give me so much joy, motivation, and friendship. I’m your age, I enjoy your perspective and humor!
You are describing me.
Diane, I don’t know what I would do without you. You’ve gotten me through some dark days and taught me so much about watercolor and art in general. I’m almost your age and I so understand the craziness that is the world today. We’re forgetting what’s really important And those connections that we have with real people and real art. It is so healing and therapeutic and just all-around good for a person. Please don’t give up. What you do matters greatly. Thank you to both you and your daughter.
I LOVE your channel! I want art from real people, not AI. Keep your chin up, Diane. God keep you and give you strength and courage.. it seems all the people I admire are being cancelled by UA-cam. Very scary.
It hurts my heart to hear how distressing this UA-cam deal is hurting your industry. When I listen to watercolor tutorials (Daily) my go to’s are Ellen, Emma, and you! I was delighted to hear you reference them. You three are a great balance for me… in so many ways. Thank you for your honesty . It is such a gift to connect with our teachers through art. . Thanks Diane for all you give to us.!
Same!
I can’t begin to understand what UA-cam is doing to you, but I will continue watch, like and comment. You, Emma, Ellen, and a few others have helped so much. My painting journey only began during the pandemic, but I thank you so much for “being there” and teaching me so much about watercolor. I have grown to love it, thanks to you! No AI can duplicate the passion behind your art.
Oh my goodness! Please don't go away. You've taught me and inspired me to learn to paint at age 64. Thank you so much for sharing your life and art with all of us. You are much loved!! ❤
I've used several of your techniques and ideas. I hadn't picked up a brush for years but people like yourself inspired me to start again. OK, I'm not brilliant but I occasionally surprise myself. Thank you.
Oh my gosh I watch you almost everyday. I want you to continue. ❤
Don’t worry everyone, I’m here to stay!
Me too! I just turned 63! I am feeling renewed
Watching your videos and learning to paint is one of the few pleasures left for me. Never change!
Great to hear! Thanks so much!
Diane, two years ago I decided to learn how to paint watercolor at 60 years old. You were one of the first watercolor artists I found on You Tube. Each day I picked up my art supplies and looked forward to seeing what you had in store for me to paint that day. Your calming voice and teaching style put me at-ease as a beginner. I truly felt that I could paint as you inspired me each and every day. I cannot express what your videos have meant to me. I love to paint and that is due to YOU ! Please know how much you mean to me and to thousands of other viewers. A.I. can take a hike ! I’m a people-person 100%.
Your channel helped me fly into the watercolor universe! I was able to reinvent myself and look forward to giving meaning to the rest of my life. Your lessons and teaching style help me increase my confidence. Your ramblings lift my spirit. I am never lonely just listening to the sound of your voice. I pray you have more viewers and get to meet your pure heart.
Diane, your paintings are a huge inspiration to me as a beginner. Your teaching has been hugely important. Please carry on sharing your knowledge. I will continue to keep looking out for your videos.
You matter, your art matters, your generous spirit matters. You and the others you mentioned are the reason I paint at all. You have become my online tutors and “friends” since Covid shutdown. You are smart and talented, inspirational and encouraging. Please don’t quit!!! Dont let AI and YT cyber bully. We are all better than that. ❤
We won’t Christine! And if you really want to help, liking, commenting and visiting our channel home page and exploring there are the best things you can do for us - that will make sure UA-cam shows you our content when we put up a new video!
@@DianeAntoneStudio I have been a subscriber and faithful viewer of your videos since 2020. A 👍🏻 is always happily attached. 💕
I am 68 years old and retired when Covid hit. I wanted to learn how to watercolor for a long time and this was my opportunity to learn how. When I first started I found Diane in UA-cam she was the first one to inspired me. I love her teaching, I love the way she talks about life, I love her drawing. I love her paintings, she’s taught me so much. So please do not do that to us. We love her, we need her, she’s a professional in every way and you can’t find good teachers like her anymore.
Dear Diane, wow, this hit me like a brick 😮 i felt every bit of your pain in your words and what the heck is going on in the world!! No amount of ai will turn me away from your art from the heart ❤️ please try and carry on as we love you and i must say some of those paintings you showed us are fabulous and you are priceless xx
Please don’t give up this channel have help me out of depression I thought a person like me could paint and it became therapeutic for me everyday 😢
You’re an amazing teacher Diane. The fact we get your years of knowledge and experience for free is mind blowing. I hope and pray your channel stays strong and becomes increasingly popular. Thank you for everything you do. ❤
Don't ever stop painting and making your very helpful videos. Ai will never replace REAL talented artists like you.❤
Heck no! Don't give up!! You have been a great teacher and inspiration for me and a lot of other people!! Love your art!!
No AI could ever replace Diane’s heart that she shares with us each day. I’m a widow and she is my dear friend as I listen to her daily. She keeps me from being lonely. She’s never met me. But I know Her and her life and her art. She helps me improve my watercolor art every day.
I love you Diane. Don’t quit!
It's wonderful to have you on UA-cam Diane. You have heart you are knowledgeable and you are a loving teacher. Please don't ever give up
I’m just a beginner and I’ve been painting along with you and other UA-cam videos . Really the only time I have gotten compliments have been with your paintings. I love the birds because they are fun and I get different expressions on every bird so I see a little of my personality coming through. Please don’t stop.
Please don’t quit! You are inspiring!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I love the lessons. Please keep going. I did not know the likes were so important
Susan it's a combination of likes but more so comments made and their length! So maddening what they are doing to UA-cam creator's!
Please don’t give up! You’re one of the best watercolor channels out there!
I too am 80 years old . And just started watercolor painting. You inspire me to continue on this journey. I appreciate that you make your sketches free to us. I spend hours watching your videos & painting . Please don't give up. You are my favorite You Tube artist.
Oh no! Please don’t give up! Your videos are what have helped me enjoy painting again. At 70 years old, I feel the passion again. Every morning I look forward to the time you share with us. Thank you so much for teaching me how to just relax and enjoy the feeling. You are so special ❤
Same here, I'm 68 and I love her humor, intelligence and TALENT :)
Dearest Diane don't give up you have inspired thousands of us don't let these ai freaks put you off you will always have you followers
I'm 76 going on 77 years old, and I have been watching you on UA-cam for 2 years. I can honestly say I am a real "artist" now because of you and your teaching! You are an excellent teacher and friend to the thousands of YT watchers. I love your channel and everything you teach and have to say. You are a beautiful person inside and out! Don't give up the ship! Love to you and Tamsin, and Thank You for all your hard work!
That’s great to hear and we won’t give up! If you really want to help, liking, commenting and visiting our channel home page and exploring there are the best things you can do for us - that will make sure UA-cam shows you our content when we put up a new video!
I am a certified decorative painter in acrylics. Until I started watching your tutorials never had ventured into watercolors. I absolutely love what you do on your channel. I take your advice and have enjoyed and look forward to all of your tutorials. Thank you for all you do to make this world a better place. 👍 💗 👍
I copy your ‘paint a bird a day’ paintings and use them to encourage our wellbeing cafe guests to paint watercolours. This week i used the vids on sunflowers, lavender bookmarks and beach scene to give a friend suffering illness an activity. Your skills and gentle tutorials are a great support 💕🇬🇧
I am so glad that you have an indomitable spirit! Please do not stop your videos - they are a bright spot in my inbox as I am sure they are in many others. You are inspiring & your slow thoughtful approach makes learning fun. Thank you!
Diane! Please know that you’ve made such a difference in my journey of learning watercolor painting! I enjoy, learn, and LISTEN to your stories and lessons. Stay strong.
Please don’t give up, Diane. I’m a beginner at 77 years old, and I love your teaching style and your subject matter. Hang in there! ❤
I would LOVE to take classes with YOU as my ART TEACHER! I love your studio.
Me too want to take classes with you
I am an avid watcher of you and a few other UA-cam artists of watercolor. I especially enjoy when you take us outside to see your lovely home. ❤️
Dearest Diane, I was just listening on the tv as I mostly do but had to get on my phone right away to comment! I’m so sorry that you are experiencing all this stress and heartache! I absolutely love your videos and often play them in the background several hours a day as I find your voice to be soothing, your stories entertaining, and your projects very educational! I have learned more from you than any other artist on this platform! I watch the other artists you made reference to and couldn’t imagine having to deal with loosing them as well. Please don’t give up…you have given this horribly depressed soul dealing with an empty nest and health issues something to look forward to every day! You’ve inspired me to paint again and given me the guidance I need to achieve enough successes to keep going! You have my support and I’ll keep you “rambling in the background” as you say! Love you ❤
I’d be lost without you Diane. You’re not just an artist and teacher, but one that possesses humor and just darn fun to listen to. Thanks for all you have given to me and look forward to many more videos. ❤❤❤
Don't give up, please. I love your videos, advice, and the encouragement you give to everyone.
Your site inspired me to paint … helped me through Covid, saving my emotional and mental health !
this is my open heart and I will continue to watch
You are welcome to ‘ramble on’ anytime , I have learned so much from you , Diane! Take heart, and never change. You are a blessing !
Diane - We love you! My father who grew up in the 1930's never liked what he called "ersatz" art and music. Simulated, AI, whatever. We need artists like you to breathe real life into our visions of art. You communicate art in a way that we can understand, and everyone can participate in. You have added levity to my approach to art, which has been simply liberating. 🥰
Oh sweetie, I don’t know what is becoming of this world. AI will never be able to replace the impact you have had on me. I’ve only recently started painting at 52, and it was because of your videos. I watch them all the time and I will continue to do so even more!!! You are such an inspiration and a true artist and teacher!
GIVE UP????!!!! P.L.E.A.S.E. do not give up!!!! You have no idea how much you mean to the world. You, sitting in your little studio have a great and wonderful impact on people all over the globe. You have positive power in your words and art. You share and spread light and life. You encourage people who try one thing and that leads them to try another thing and another. Soon they are more light-hearted and positive themselves and spread that to others. An amazing ripple!!!! Please continue to spread your one little light to all people. ♥ From a northern Minnesota, USA great-grandma.
You're the reason why I love watercolour so much! I'll never leave this channel. Thank you for all of what you do Diane.
If UA-cam doesn't appreciate artists like you, a new platform could open up for you and those like you. All things are possible!! Do not lose heart, my friend. You are greatly appreciated and needed...especially this time in history!
Do Not Give Up, Diane! I need you! We all need you! The world has gone crazy and you, and your gifts are giving us sanity, and friendship❤❤❤
Diane. please don't dispear from making watercolor videos. You have helped me with getting back to painting. I have learned so very much about painting from you. Thank you so very much. I
I have followed you weekly Diane for about 2 years now and you have taught me all I know about watercolor painting. You are very special and I just cannot imagine not hearing your stories while following along with your lessons. You make UA-cam a better place, you make the world a better place! I am so grateful for you and your daughter!! 💜
AI will never replace the warm heart and years of experience that you bring. Keep going and don’t get discouraged Diane. Just as you remember and share those books about artists of the past, so it will continue. Humans will always value other humans above fake technology. Stay strong and keep doing what you are doing. Thank you for all the great videos and tutorials. 🌷
Please don’t give up , your videos get me through the day since the passing of my husband 2 yrs ago this month, for awhile my heart was broke and I couldn’t paint , but watching and listening encouraged me to go on . ❤️❤️❤️ your channel
As a 67 years old beginner I like your approach of painting and teaching. I even overcame my fear of painting and painted some of you birdstutorials. Very fun and relaxing. Just what I needed. Thanks for sharing Al those good videos and the passion you gave them. I will help, you staying doing your good work in liking and commenting al your upcoming videos. I also will try to watch as much as possible of your videos and comment them as well . Good luck and what a corrage to make this video. Thanks and keep up the spirit. I see that there are very much comments and support for you. Very well done! Wim from The Netherlands
How come I never replied to this comment - your very first?? Apologies and I hope tonight you get a whole batch of replies from me to set the balance straight! Hugs!
Stay with it. Many people love your painting. I especially love your style and peaceful life. Never give up stay solid and continue. Never let anyone empty your bucket!!!
I love your painting tutorials and techniques. I think we have learned a great deal from you, Diane. I love painting your little turtles, chickens and all your little animal friends for my grandkids. Thank you!
I"M TEACHING A WATERCOLOR CLASS TO YOUNG GIRLS,THIS WEEKEND. USING WHAT I LEARNED FROM YOU. YOU ARE VERY IMPORTANT!!!! VERY VALUABLE AND VERY VERY GIFTED. I'M NEW TO WATERCOLOR. AND LOVE IT BECAUSE IT RELAXES MY SOUL. YOU HELPED ME TO SEE I CAN PAINT. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT BEFORE.
You’re very much needed here. I consider you a friend. You’ve taught me so much, Diane.
Dear Dianne, AI could never duplicate what comes from your heart and experience. How dare anyone even thinking that it could be an improvement in any shape or form over what comes from your soul and skill! I can see that you are an accomplished artist but you share the basics so unselfishly with your adoring viewers! When I discovered your channel I said to myself," Self, I think you can do this"! You have the ability to give your subjects personality because it is an expression of your love. I owned a goat heard in Florida for many years. We produced a commercial cheese! It was very labor intensive. I was rearing two toddlers at the same time! The business was my husbands brainchild and I needed to give up practicing my business as a hairstylist to join his dream! It all ended in divorce and I am retired at the age of 74 and discovered watercolor and have learned so much from you. Of course, I could write a book of my experiences and travels! My anxiety levels go to the Alfa when watching you on UTUBE! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US! WE ADORE YOU!!!!😍
Dear Dianne don’t give up! I love your Channel you are one of the only ones who shows imaginative painting in water colour on utube!! No AI can replace a real person!! Take heart just because we are quite doesn’t mean we don,t appreciate you. Cheers Alison
I love watching you paint.
I'm glad you're not giving up in the face of this brave new world of AI. Like, I suspect, many of your viewers, I do not aspire to be a "real artist;" I am painting for my own enjoyment. One thing you do that I really like is take something like a landscape and show us how to do a reasonably simple version of it - not at the level of expertise of the authors of some of those books, but in a way that the hobbyist painter can do and be happy with.
I am a beginner and I watched quite a few tutorials but I felt the most comfortable with yours and would like to continue learning from you. 1:47 It would be a disgrace to the art community if others could not be afforded the same privilege.
Please don't give up because you will be dearly missed.
You've been on my mind and heart for a few weeks now. I have been praying and uplifting you! I adore your channel and your life in France with your animals and real life; not just art! You feel like a friend. Thank you for generously sharing your education, experience, and love of creating with us!
I love Diane and her honest conversations and her variety of paintings. Somedays the painting is whimsical and other days it is more technical. Diane don't go changing because of remarks left here. You're a part of my daily routine. Something would be amiss without you!!!
Dot from the UK
My dear Diane, what would I do without a daily dose of Diane Antone's art I simply love your channel. There must be all sorts of people who love to watch your channel for all sorts of reasons. Me, I'm just an ordinary person always dabbled in paint or colouring in since I could hold a pencil. I'm a widow of 13 years now and live alone and I'm 72. Without your channel and many other like you on you on You Tube life would be miserable. I used to watch a lot of mindless daytime TV, and in the evenings too. But now I'd rather watch someone talented creating art and talking about it like yourself. What we need is more Diane's to spark our interests and yes and entertain us. I for one don't want AI art or AI anything, give us the choice of watching the real thing by real people who know what they are doing and talking about. Thank you, Diane for your expertise and sharing your knowledge with so many of us, I love you, carry on and do what you do best. Lots of love from Derbyshire in the UK, Dot xxx.
I love your teaching approach. What you’ve built matters to so many out here. God will make sure the gifts he blessed you with are shared with all of us out here!
You are the one watercolor tutorial channel that I turn on everyday. Your feelings reflect some of my own. Until your doodle birds tutorial I was at a standstill. I feel I finally can move on. I don't think you will give up on us, I won't give up on you.
Please don't leave utube! Your tutorials are very helpful to me. If only you could see how I've improved in my painting. Thanks for all you do! 😊❤
Diane, thank you for sharing your story. I am a 58-year-old woman who didn't start painting until about 3-4 years ago. I always had a yearning to but never took the time and really didn't have the time. Then you know what happened and I found myself with time on my hands. With a little money in my pocket and time on my hands, I decided to start watching You Tube in hopes to learn to paint. Your channel is one of the first channels I started watching. I loved the way you taught and the carefree way you described it that made it not so scary for me. I don't know so much about technology and this whole AI thing, but I agree that it is a huge influence, and it is a real shame. Just like the way of picking up a book and reading it, which now you can "listen" to a book instead, my fear is that the world of You Tube will be overtaken by this AI, but again I am not a computer nerd or anything, so my fears are unsubstantiated other than listing to my my son (33 years old) who shares his views with me.
I pray you don't ever give up because it would be a travesty. Artist / teachers like yourself do not come around often. I wish nothing but the best for you in this crazy world we live and hope the AI creature doesn't slow you down a bit. All my love Sundie
Dianne as my girls used to say’ Don’t give up’. I thank the You Tube gods who brought your channel into my life. I have found painting and doodling a real help with stress, there so much research backing up how mindful activities is such a good tool in our box to help with our mental health. So keep teaching this. Xx
AI cannot replace the heartfelt stories and inspiration you share everyday. I LOVE and appreciate you, Diane. I love when you share video around your studio and beautiful home. I love how you inspire me to continue to watercolor no matter what challenges I may face. I love you watercolor techniques and how you explain how to use them. You are indeed a wealth of knowledge--I continue to learn from you everyday. You bring magic and fun to the art of watercolor. I am 69 years old. All my life I loved the look of watercolor but was too intimidated to even try it. After watching your videos, I thought I'd give it a try. Following your expertise in teaching, I now love to watercolor, love to try all the techniques you show and have become pretty good at it. I couldn't imagine getting from AI what I get from you: True, calm, life stories and videos, motivation, enjoyment, need I go on?
I love your art work 💗 please don’t stop
I love your style and no AI will ever be able to replace you!!!!
Hi Diane, I actually watch many of your videos. I’m not a beginner, I’ve studied watercolor for many years and have earned my level through trying everything like you. I have super expensive watercolor and student grade but I know how to use them now. Your approach is teaching others to learn and play, that is watercolor! The toughest medium. We all attract certain people, which is just how it is. I love your simple yet effective paintings with the doodles and pens. I’ve painted so many of these with you. Some UA-cam artists are not my cup of tea, but I do love you. Hope you realize what a treasure you are and keep on going.
Please continue with your tutorials. You are warm and real and so uniquely you. You give much more than teaching us how to paint. You connect with us like a real friend having a chat. Love it
PLEASE don't give up!!! I am a HUGE FAN! I feel so thrilled when I can paint with you! I try and see all of your videos. Please don't leave!
I hope we can get through all this AI madness keeping the humanity alive in art of all kinds. One of the reasons I haven't invested in digital tools for art. I like the feel of the paintbrush in my hand and the actual brush strokes I make whether good or bad. I am pulling for you, Diane. Please don't give up.
All I can say, you're unique and nothing can replace you, AI doesn't have a kind heart and understanding like you do. BTW, thanks for the educational video, I love to see books about painting.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your honesty Diane! I consider you a friend as well as a fabulous teacher! Please please please keep on keepin’ on for all of us out there! We are living on the leading edge of both good and bad and YOU surely are so GOOD! If anything please let this “ A I “ light the fire under us all to say “ oh I don’t think so!” We are all co-creating out there under your guidance and many others that have such wonderful things to say and teach! I was Lucky enough to grow up in NY and under my very successful Commercial Artist Dad who designed movie posters in the 70’s taught me to Not color in coloring books but rather create my own work and style- you remind me of this a lot while you chat with us all and give wonderful advise! Thanks so much for the book recommendations as well! I love to co-create with you!
What on earth is happening? Please don’t give up. I love your paintings❤️🦋
Do not leave! You are valued. I see that more and more artists are leaving youtube and going private via websites.
Dear Diane and Tamsin,
Thank you both for the tremendous work you do to produce these videos for all of us around the world! Lately I’ve heard the discouragement in your voice and thought you were just tired of creating art on a schedule. You are so busy outside of YT- I don’t know how you do it all. I have no idea how YT works but it sounds nasty and heavy-handed.
I found you when I first started learning watercolor on my own about 6 months ago. Your channel quickly became my favorite. I sometimes don’t want to doodle and I skip those but others might be at that place where doodles suit them. I guess it’s hard to balance what you like to paint and what people at different skill levels want to learn. My goal is to learn landscapes, and I also watch a couple other artists who paint only landscapes.
I hope the YT issues are resolved so you can enjoy what you do for us.
Take care,
Sandy Raleigh NC
I have just recently discovered Diane Antone and I love her, her work, her commentary, and her gently way of teaching.
Please do not leave! I don't know what I would do without your inspirational videos- and there are many others thinking the same. Thankyou for sharing your genuine knowledge so generously. you are indeed much loved!❤💚💙
Thank you Diane for all you do. This video brings home how much teachers like you bring joy and inspiration to so many of us. You have definitely inspired me on my artistic journey and encouraged me to keep going. I enjoyed your book review as well. Keep on doing what you do. With infinite gratitude to you and Tamsin.
I am around your age, born in 1954, and started as an art major and then went into elementary education. As a retired teacher, I'm getting started in watercolor which I never tried before. Everything is new and I'm loving it. Your videos are inspiring and I've watched almost every day, trying to catch up on past videos. Thanks for all you do and thankfully you have not stopped. We need you here. Take care! Jen
I'm glad you told us this. I had no idea that people were struggling with UA-cam. I love your ramblings while you paint. You're a real hoot! Sometimes I laugh out loud. I will comment more often. Thanks for being here. ❤
I felt infuriated by what you have just shared. I depend on your channel and others like the ones you mentioned as I am self taught and rely on your knowledge to carry me on my journey. Thank you for what you do. I admire you for speaking out and hope that other teachers follow your lead.
I love your channel. I watch every video that you post. You have a gift that you give to all of us all of the time without expecting anything from us. You are a gift and we gladly receive!
Diane, i too found myself again thru your teachings. I'm 76, my husband & best friend was killed 21 years ago. He was my support, manager & framer. He went with me to all my art shows & helped me set up/tear down at the shows. Along with transporting my art & me. His death was a major blow to my art career resulting in my ceasing to create, selling my framing & outside art set up: tent, metal panels & lights. My heart was definitely broken. All that time spent pursuing my art, when i could have spent it with my husband, & now he is gone forever. Your doodles enlightened me & i needed the whimsical to help me pick up a pen & brush again. Then, i started recognizing the talent & knowledge you possessed. Nothing wrong with doodles, some times we just need a laugh do see the humor in the small things in life. To create those doodles takes real talent. Just try a few if you don't believe me. Learning about different medias allows you to broaden your art experience. Recently, i have gone back to creating with a pencil, even bought a new professional set of pencils, leading me into learning & practicing values. Keep your chin up diane, there are so many of us believing, relying & learning from you. If you only knew, how many of us you inspire. We truly need & appreciate all you do.
I just wanted to let you know, Diane, that you inspired me to start watercolor painting. I’d been a watercolor tutorial junkie for a long time but was afraid to start doing it, didn’t think I could do it. Then I found your tutorials last August and your approach made it so simple and you were so encouraging that I finally found the courage to start. It’s been a year now and I’ve had so much fun learning and discovering the art. Please continue being the inspiration that you are and don’t give up. Without you, I would never have gotten started in watercolor and my life would not be as fulfilling.
Please don’t give up I will watch you all day every day if it will help. I love your Channel and would miss it if you weren’t here 😢 I hate the idea of AI taking over talented and experienced artists it’s just wrong 😑 There is no comparison to human knowledge and wisdom. Your voice is soothing, you are so witty and lovely 😊
Don't give up!
Oh my gosh!! Diane, you and Tamsin are my televison and radio! Lol. I play you all day long, i start my day with you. I paint with you, i clean my studio while listening to you, i make journals for my etsy store while listening to you, everyday you are in the background! I love your paintings, love your attitude LOVE YOUR HONESTY. ❤️ thank you for helping me learn to paint. Thanks to you I have been much cheered in a non cheery time of life. I'm growing in confidence and am getting set to add watercolor paintings to my etsy shop. And Tamsin. Tamsin does an exceptional job at From the Garden and the website and you tube channel. I bless the day i found you!! ❤
Good morning Diane & Tamsin! I just turned 79 in June and only started watercolor painting a couple years ago! I’ve always wanted to paint but lacked direction! THEN I found your You Tube channel! You have transformed me…I listen to you EVERY morning as a part of my routine with my iPad! I’ve told you before how I love your style and your encouraging words to spur me and all the other painters who watch your channel on to continue to want to paint….we develop our own style, whatever that may be, and you encourage and applaud us for our work! I don’t understand this AI business but from what you say about it, I don’t think I like it!!!!!! I so enjoy your soothing voice, your stories, your views of your home, studio, cats, dogs, chickens and sheep! You are so down to earth, real and unassuming and I feel like you are a true friend I’d really like to spend time with In Person….in the meantime, I will spend time with you via UA-cam and watch, like and comment and thoroughly enjoy our “long distance friendship”! Thank you for being so transparent, humble and just “plain Diane” sharing her love of painting and teaching with all of her friends!!!!!!!❤
Diane, I watch you almost every day. YOU are the person who got me into watercolor painting. I'd wanted to do it all my life since I was a child and I am older than you. My parents boo-hooed it, to them it was a waste of time. But I never forgot about painting, even though I had raised my family, took care of my ill mother and am now taking care of my uncle, but I AM painting now thanks to you. So, please do not let them force you out of your teaching. I enjoy your instructions, your stories, your subjects, it's just so much fun in my life now. Please don't let them take you away~
