- Hey y’all!
Hope everyone is staying safe during the quarantine and the craziness in the world with Covid-19 (coronavirus).
As y’all know, we’re always working on something. Now, we’ve started on a new project! We’re covering our Pontoon boat and it will be similar to a houseboat, but not quiet a houseboat because it’s not going to have all the things to make it one inside! But it’s still going to be cool!
Can’t wait for y’all to see it! More is on dad’s channel!
Dad’s (Jeff Barron) Channel:
/ @jeffbarron70
Preciate y’all!
The real beauty is your love and appreciation of the outdoors with your father along with your practical and realistic approach on how you do things like normal people. Every dad can only hope to have a father/daughter relationship like you two have. Keep it coming and stay real.
You folks are what America is all about; the freedom to do want you want and live your dreams.
Young lady, you simply make my heart smile. You obviously have very good parents who did such a great job. I love that you love the outdoors and the hunting/fishing lifestyle. Love your videos!😁👍👍👍
I seen two kids that turned a 40' pontoon into a mobile restaurant, grilled food and sold it on the river...pretty cool idea...good luck with your project...
Hannah, I am an old guy and you make me grin from ear to ear...Love you Suthin twang and your zest for life!!! So fun to watch and listen to you banter with your dad!
You're a good daughter. Keep sticking with your Dad. Great channel.
Hannah hun you just melted the hearts of every country boy when you said “ my truck is still hooked to the boat” lol
City boys too.
I’m a city boy and she melts my heart! ❤️❤️❤️❤️. GREAT AMERICAN WOMAN!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You can say that again!! Bristol Tennessee here! Man she's better looking than Shania Twain was on her best day!!!! Plus her Alabama voice don't hurt nuttin eiter!👍
For real
She melts my heart
Anyone can go down to the store and buy a boat, but there's nothing like a custom model designed in your own mind and built with your own hands. Having built your tiny house I'm sure your dad will make the most out of the limited space on the boat. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Thanks for sharing.
It just dont matter what ur building, I just wanna watch, ur voice is comforting and ur Dad n u are solid , good people.
Trees with leaves, green grass, sun! Super! It snowed yesterday here! Will follow the floating house project!
You guys are incredible, cannot be stopped and nothin holds you back. Just so damn impressive. Appreciate yall!!!!
Absolutely love your dads attitude and enthusiasm!
Put bunks on the sides that fold up to the walls so when you are not sleeping, you can move around without them in the way.
Wow. No makeup and as beautiful as beautiful can be.
👍🏿
You need to use marine plywood and get longer steering cables and put the steering above on the second deck
southern preacher, may not have the $$$. That’s expensive isn’t it? I’ve got a 24’ pontoon I wanna do something similar.
I grew up in Biloxi MS, Cocoa Beach FL, Arlington TX, man I miss that southern draw, now I'm stuck in Minnesota.
Hey, Hannah: So glad to see your still posting video's, and the house boat should be a lot of fun. Your beginning to get that summer look, with your pink nose and slightly tanned body! You all stay safe down there, and God Bless You and your Dad for entertaining us!!!! We love you!!!
Hannah, I just don’t believe a girl can be as beautiful as you. Your looks and your accent are unbelievably unbelievable. Lol
You have been blessed young lady.
Your parents must be beaming with pride. 👍
@Jerry Thomas i have never heard that one before, i had to Google it up.... i have led a sheltered life, lol.
southern gentlemen, perhaps? (not)
I think her attitude and personality add a lot to her beauty too - they shine through!
@Jerry Thomas that's just gross and disrespectful
@Jerry Thomas inappropriate.. but funny 😂😎
It's the shift and throttle plus steering cables that will hinder where you can relocate the helm to. The wiring is easy to extend. A flying bridge on top would be cool, you could see good than.
With the floods we've had lately, you could put a spray boom on it and take care of a lot of cotton spraying for the public!
Great vid, as always. I agree with all the folks suggesting the wheel house go on the roof. It would save a lot of room on the main deck, not to mention all the visibility issues. However, with the steering controls up there, it could cause height problems when transporting the boat while it's on the trailer. I think it may be possible to make the steering console fold down while in transit. Thanks. Rick.
I love the additional pontoons! Appreciate y'all!😇🙏❤
Damn girl .... 2000 views in ten minutes, I believe you have become a rock star!! 'preciate you!!
10,216 in 1 hour,
Y'all
Your Dad is just a reservoir of knowledge! Learn all you can from him.
A second floor/pilot house could solve your steering/engine control components. We'll call this the "upper decker" solution.
You might think about using structural foam board (XPS) skinned with fiberglass screen using Glidden Gripper primer. Amazingly strong and lightweight. Won't ever rot and excellent insulation. Cover the deck with some sort of boat deck paint or bedliner and the rest with paint-on roofing. If either is not water based, make sure the Gripper will not let it through to dissolve the foam.
Two inch T pins are handy to hold the fiberglass screen in place as you apply it with a second coat of Gripper, and as it dries. The pins are easy to remove and reuse too.
That man is always working on something. I’m the same age as him and wish I had half his energy.
Hes got a great idea for a drop down porch on the front.........but why not cantilevered on each side. That could give you up to 6x24 on each side plus protect the sides in transport. Looks like fun, love yall
Excited to see how it all comes together, keep us posted!!
Just the travel height to worry about. Make sure you can clear the trees on your route to the lake. Happy Rafting!! Regards from Cornwall, Engerlund. X
Could put the steering and control mechanism on a crows nest or top of house
ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL 😘
ALWAYS WORKING ALONG WITH YOUR DAD👍💪
Joel Ramos you do realize she just does this to make videos? She works with him only as a part of making the videos.
@@Kingfisher1215 I didn't know you know her in person?
All I know is that she's a wonderful girl. And no fake at all..
As thousands of followers.
I like to see the big bound with her father.. always doing nice stuff together.
Huh, I didn't know you lived in such a small house. I'm sure it's exactly where you wanna be so I say more power to ya! House boat is looking good Hannah.
Put in hooks to hang hammocks. Buy quality ones and they are very comfortable for sleeping. Not good for heing and sheing but perfect for long naps.
Hello oooooooo beautiful hope you have a wonderful beautiful blessed day and your family God bless yall 😇 🙏❤️ Love Jimmy Wayne
Ya know if you build it with aluminium studs with aluminum siding yall would eliminate about 1000 lbs of top weight. You know that you have to run cable bracing so when driving the structure won't start moving from the wind going down the road. Instead of using pressure treated lumber which will be top heavy. Also they make fiberglass panels that would out last pressure treated plywood floors, you can always paint floor with non slip paint. It has sand impregnated in it, wood and water = rotten wood. It's gonna be a cool setup for fishing, also bolts will be stronger than screws and nails. What happens when the screws and nails gets wet? They will loosen up from being wet and driving down the road. Food for thought we appreciate ya.
You can move the driver control to the front and get longer cables for steering
And the throttle cables, and the shifter cable, and the ignition wiring........
Hannah you are the best you always have a beautiful smile and a great Outlook oh my Lord continue success and tell your father we said hi Thank You Hannah God bless you
That’s got enough flotation, you could have a ramp on the front to lower and land a 4 wheeler!
Can't wait. I wanted to do the same thing on a pontoon boat 20 years ago but life told me to do something different.
Where is Merl?
Jeff will have a skinning shack on it soon! Plus a hot tub!GB!
Genuine American buildt!!!! House boat!! Thanks Hannah and Jeff
Heck yeah yall. I bet it'll turn out great. I can't wait to see it when it's done.👍
Put the steering on the roof towards the front of the boat, so only the steering and gear wiring run down under the first floor to the engine. You'll have excellent vision when driving, and it opens up the floor level, allowing you two to be more creative with the space. Appreciate ya'll!
Here on the railroad doing our thing Corpus ChristiTexas 🤙
Do you sing I've been working on the railroad song? LOL!
That's where I'll be tomorrow.
For now Corpus is home.
@@79tazman when I first started 😂👍
Lots of young hunters watching. I enjoy watching and especially in that you use kind and decent language in your productions. Y’all are good role models. BTW I’m in my 70s. Chuck
Build your house and then put your steering console on top of your house. That way you are not looking thru your living quarters
Exactly what I just said lol
I thought you were going to build a floating cat fish plucker!!!!😂🦀🦐🦞🐳 you and your dad have fun God bless and stay healthy and have a great time an have fun
Actually you need to use marine plywood to cover it, it’s much stronger and will hold up better, unless you fiber glass it.
Marine plywood won't crack or shrink like treated plywood, but it still can rot. Like you said, coat/seal it with fiberglass resin and it will last that way.
that is one reason why they make them out of all aluminium
Joe Fudd there is no such thing, treated ply wood no mate, marine that’s it , there’s a MDF that’s totally water proffered, but £100 odd , no not for me , sorry mate ,, ⚒⚒
darren hutchinson, doesn’t mdf swell up like a sponge when it gets wet?
Very clever, as well as creative, boat idea. Hell yeah..
YA'LL ROCK'ED THIS VIDEO TOO HANNAH AND JEFF
Iv been wanting to build one of these for years.. now I'm going to have to finally do it. Thanks for the inspiration!
You need to use marine grade plywood for the floor just saying
A barge, you built a barge. That thing's a hoss. Love it!
It will be a great boat. Everything you guys do end up being great things. Keep safe
When we built ours, we built a box across the whole back. You end up with a covered motor and a dry box on each side for gas cans or a small generator. With the motor area open to the rear, a solid front and one piece lid on top, the noise is directed out the back.
Keep it short so it's easy to step up onto to fish off the back, and some day you will need to work on the motor. Makes it a lot easier if somebody doesn't have to hold your ankles while your trying to work on it.
Could you build a double decker on that frame?
That would give you extra space, up top deck?
A great plan! For your next upgrade you might want to consider a second motor. Advantages: The second motor will get you home if one of them fails; it will make maneuvering & docking FAR easier; you can make tighter turns and you'll have a MUCH easier time when there's any wind. Remember, having a big house on top of those pontoons provides a big, big surface for the wind to push against. You need to be able to push back ;-)
Use pocket doors to save space as well. They slide into the walls.
Joe Turner
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe like sliding barn doors too.
@@Oldtimecarpenter barn doors are an even better option from a space perspective
Hannah, if you can't build out then build up. Raise the controls 6-7 feet up like a flying bridge. That should free up the bottom pad for the houseboat and all you'd have to deal with is the wiring.
You could go "high tech" and add a camera or cameras with a monitor by the steering wheel to see where you're going. You can get those types of cameras and monitors cheap.
Yep get some plans together and also what Southern Preacher said. Should be a fun project!!
"we're tight, you got tah be tight!" Jeez sounds like my dad! 😂
worxharder I thought he was going say like “frugal” or “thrifty”...nope. Jeff went right to, “Tight.” No pretense in the man.
Very cool idea can't wait to see what it will look like when it's finished. Keep on smiling Hannah it makes me wanna keep smiling. God bless you guys!
Put the wheel house on the second floor!
Agreed, put the controls on top.
I agree second floor, finding used cables cheap probably would not be hard to do. Also i hope they know pressure treated lumber is not a good choice, they make "marine grade lumber" specifically for marinas, boats, docks, etc. A little pricier than pressure treated but well worth it.
@@gacdogs8282 I agree, I would use marine grade plywood for the decking and they can use treated for base of housing area then regular lumber.
Awesome. From South Africa love ur post and ur dads. Full on subscriber. Nice to see the way u guys do stuff . Great clips .apriciate u all👌🏻👍
I like your dad he has a lot of imagination
Interesting project you have started. I'm eager to watch. Thumbs up!
Everyone is telling you the obvious so here is my thought. Nothing stopping you running the steering cables etc UNDER the water between the flotation so as to not be in the mud. Run the cables in waterproof piping.
Easy Peasey.
Actually it could be some wood that your daddy cut if he had some cypress. That would make it nice and even pretty light weight wouldn't rot either.
Cyprus is a pretty wood, like it better than cedar myself..
@@stanfen what are the odds, a colt 45 replying to 44 magnum lol
@@CarlJohnson-ry3gc lol good one Carl
@@stanfen I don't know colt I'd at least trim the windows out with cedar and clear coat em.
@@henry44mag.26 From what I've seen of his work,it will be solid, look good and we'll thought out..
A very pretty, natural woman! :)
Absolutely adorable!
Hannah ask your dad how it will be leveled. Curious how it will settle on the water
You could also build a sort of shelf over the top of the motor and give you some more room inside on the back.
Ohhhhhh yeeesssss keep it up girl
Such a sweetheart, I'm a city boy and its very refreshing to see a young lady takin so much initiative. 🙂

Hannah, Could you not put the "Pilot" up a story on top of the living quarters, giving you the whole space to use?
Hey thats the ticket. Unless they run up and down streams with low hanging tree limbs. I do like it thou.
Yes the green wood materials always work the best fer ya'll's house boat. Hannah and Jeff
Hello beautiful hannah, stay safe love ya!!
You can set up a Harbor Fright 12 volt small winch to raise and lower the front porch from inside the cabin use cable to support the porch.
A houseboat! Your dad beat you to it. Early bird catches the views.
Lol
You could pull your house boat up to Wisconsin during ice fishing and turn it into an ice shack. A lot of windows so its easy to see the flags on the tip-ups. Small wood stove with chimney and she’s ready for some northern pike/walleye.
So when you say "We're going to build a house boat." You actually mean "your dad is going to build it and you'll make sure you got a camera on, eat some snacks give us updates." Right? LOL!! 🤣🤣 Looking forward to seeing the process of getting it done. 😁👍
Hannah is pretty hands on .... I'm sure she'll be a lot more involved than just filming
You obviously hadn't seen her working on the home gym... go search that video
@@bigbob16 I saw it. Was being sarcastic
I got the sarcasm automatically
Hannah is not afraid of work but she dont know what her dad knows, plus he is a work horse.
Not to many people are even going to keep pace with him.
Jeff's work ethic is equivalent to say Casey Neistat. Just two different genres, but both hammer down.
Then you got Hannah trying to entertain us while working along side a maniac
Hi Hannah. I you mount the control box on the roof it saves all that space at the back of the boat. Plus you have a 360° view. I feel that your dad could get a longer set of cabels or as haddy as he is hook two sets of cables togather.I ❤ your video's and thank's again Hannah.
Love her southern accent. I'd pay anything to hear her reading the whole Bible.
Your facial. expressions and.Alabama make me smile every time the thumb nail used for t h e catfish. Birthday video would be a great one to frame to show your grandkids somedat
I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday!
Hairy John so why don't you post happy birthday instead of posting that you forgot to say it?
Hairy John ....it's not her birthday....it's in July
Build a solid door into the middle of your porch that opens 'up' (inwards), that way you can enter the boat when you get ready to launch it; then lower the porch and shut the door, just make sure it's framed solid enough to walk on when you are walking around on it. Of course you wouldn't put a knob or anything in it, it would need to be flush when shut, and preferably gasketed well enough to be waterproof. I hope this makes sense. Have fun.
If you would narrate audio books I would be the smartest person in the world.....
Very innovative and I think it's going to work out real good for you guys, have fun with it be blessed and stay safe.
You should teach a "beautiful woman can do it too" class, id love if my woman could do as you and deermomfordinner, preciate yall
I like the Idea of a fold down deck in the front , but what about a fold down wrap around deck that goes all the way around the boat? Now that would be cool, if you could make it work.
Good morning beautiful!
Do you have a full time job? Love the videos stay safe.
You can build the porch out of expanded metal and make a door in the middle that you open before you lift the deck up. This way the door will have gravity to hold it down when porch is down. Your door to the house boat would be able to be used with porch up for travel.
How many of you think you’re in love at first sight? 🙋🏻♂️
Jon Taylor site? So you love her location?
not I
Everybody is in awe of her accent ,abilities and stellar looks , but to tell the truth , Alabama is full of girls like Hannah .
Everyone that has a pulse i would guess.
Absolutely just beautiful and and real person
I can't wait until you all get it done your house boat. That be cool together.
Heyy gorgeous hope you have a great day
God bless you Hannah and Jeff. Y’all are role models and I appreciate the content and your wholesomeness in presentations. Young folks need to hear dialog that ugly language thank you. Chuck (70 y)
So you decided on "House Boat" - on your Dad's video you were calling it a "Boat House" :)
A P don’t make fun of her 😡👊
You could still make it 18 foot for the house part and do a 2 or 3 foot fold up on the front of the porch
@Desert Wanderer and here we have Dudley Doright galloping to rescue poor Nell from Snidely Whiplash who was only making a statement not putting her down..
Truth comes out...Hannah's guilty pleasure is Busch lite. Lol!
