This is frighteningly expensive in my market. Sounds good. But ... ouch. Thanks for sharing.

I managed to pick up Signet for about £105 in Edinburgh Airport duty free. They had it reduced and gave me a fiver off as I was spending over £100. Thus far really enjoyed it

Im lucky enough to have this on the shelf. I paid $250Aud and can say it's worth it. It's since gone up in price, like everything else these days. If you can afford it I'd say buy it.

Great review John! It does feel luxurious and does taste incredible. Like you said, it's a bit of a rebel. They say that they pause all production for 1 week of every year to make Signet so that might be one of the reasons why it's expensive. Cheers!

I hope that's not the only reason!

For several years this would have been my 1st choice 'if I can ever afford a £100+' whisky, but the way things are going I'd be lucky to get a Glenmo' 10 by the time I'm in that position. BTW the Fettercairn 16 released a couple of years back (amongst the first releases in their new livery IIRC) used chocolate malt and I think Torabhaig, amongst others, are using it in some of their brews. There's an article on extra-roasted malts in the 2022 Whisky Yearbook if you're interested.

This one sounds interesting but not willing to pay the premium price they are asking for it. Was excited to see that Tomatin has been distilling Chocolate malt spirit and laying it down for a few years now and are planning on selling it for a more reasonable price in the future. Cheers John

On a recent podcast from the SMWS dr. Bill explains a lot about this whisky, I highly recommend listening to it. He talks a lot about the signet and the whisky that goes in it. I haven't tried it yet because of the price, but I'm very curious though.
Regarding the re-design of the Glenmorangie labels I think they look rather nice, maybe a bit too flashy but who cares? Sometimes it's good to rock the boat.

This one sounds interesting, but way above what I'm willing to pay for a blind buy. It's not commonly stocked in my area but I did manage to find a bottle and it was priced at US$250. Nope. Delicious as it sounds, I'm going to have to live without it.
