It's incredible how long this series lasted while still retaining it's core feel and identity. One of the few series that only got better with time. I'll definitely miss it. I get why Yahtzee chose to leave, but it's a shame that many were fired at the same time. I'm glad Yahtzee can carry on the show in spirit with Fully Ramblomatic, and that his friends can keep making the content they want with second wind. I wish them the best.
Not just pointing this out to be pedantic, but the actual immediate reason for ZP being cancelled (yahtzee leaving) was a huge risk for yahtzee to take of his own volition - considering he's a new family man and the old corporate arrangement at least held a degree of financial stability. I'd say it paying off for him and the rest of former Escapist media team is quite an inspiring display of worker solidarity. there have been probably thousands if not millions of workers out there chucklefucked in similar way to nick and coming out of it completely emptyhanded

@@gincairn8763 Man, these compilations are a godsend, I actually downloaded all the individual videos up through about 2013, and getting that heavy metal every five minutes really disrupts the flow...and I'd say it takes up 20-25% of the runtime, so probably more like 50-60 hours...
I can't believe Escapist kept the imps and the yellow wallpaper in the divorce. They even made Yahtzee's little character buy a new hat. The god damn fedora was company property this whole time.
The funniest thing is that the “swish” SFX between each video is just a second or two too LATE between each one. One last fumble at the end of a multi-decade legacy. It’s a wonderful comedic farce, watching the management trip over itself while trying to shuffle offstage with their pants around their ankles.
They also fucked up the order (the review after Zelda mentions not having reviewed Zelda), the timeline is fucked up, and there are typos (plus whooshing. BOO).

These have been my favorite videos to watch while gaming. I'd watch them all from 2022 to 2007 and as soon as it was all over I'd start again. Sad to know this'll be the last entry. Starting this time next year it'll be Fully Ramblomatic 2024
I love how they couldn't find the font or the stylisation of the text in the previous years of this series so someone with probably no experience in design tried to re-create it. Look at the years in previous videos of this, the year has a shadow and a gradient, here it's got just white and block blue and it's not even the right shade of blue.

I'm glad the Escapist published this despite the firing and exodus, I really love these long annual videos and was looking forward to this one and that a deal was struck to move Adventure's Nigh to Second Wind. I've never seen such cooperation among divorcees in all the dissolutions I saw in my corpo career. I love how they couldn't find the font or the stylisation of the text in the previous years of this series so someone with probably no experience in design tried to re-create it. Look at the years in previous videos of this, the year has a shadow and a gradient, here it's got just white and block blue and it's not even the right shade of blue.
I was looking at the thumbnail like "something wrong here". Then again its all wrong at the Escapist isnt it 😂

I'm glad the Escapist published this despite the firing and exodus, I really love these long annual videos and was looking forward to this one and that a deal was struck to move Adventure's Nigh to Second Wind. I've never seen such cooperation among divorcees in all the dissolutions I saw in my corpo career. It's almost gives me hope for both Escapist and Second Wind and I have to (without really understanding either legal position fully though)- I have to credit Gamurz for not being IP badger sue-ey over the move for Adventure's Nigh. *glances over shoulder though*
