      I really, really dislike the little running memes and cartoons. It so infuriated me! This is good content. Who are you trying to reach with all those little clips and cartoons?
      Not one person who cares about the subject material!

    I had been writing a whole script and all these ideas for a long form way of presenting this super complex and hyper interesting period, but then numerous youtubers like you publish great content with so much detail on it and I feel like I was targeted lmao. Despite that I am super happy with this work, not only is it detailed it even sought correct pronunciation which is rare with Asian languages. Additionally it isn't dry, which I wouldn't mind, but History today lacks much outreach into many online communities and I hope that the comedy brings more eyeballs to the video. All in all I want to say thank you.

      Wow man thanks so much, I just became really fascinated with the warlord period. Pretty soon a much longer podcast series will come out about it =)

    Thank you for this and all your other content, I discovered you from kings and generals and as an Eastern European you can imagine we are not tought a lot, if anything, about Asia and as such all your work is greatly appreciated. What makes you the best is the depth of research, it's obvious you have a good academic standard. All the best

    Slight critique: The official english name of the party is "Communist Party of China" CPC, not "Chinese Communist Party" CCP. The latter was sometimes used before there was a official english name decided uppon. Now this is no long ther case and english speaking media and governments insist on continual use of the latter out of pure pettyness.

      wow, never thought about this. I think it will be hard to get my self to mentally not saw CCP all the time but I will try to say CPC from now on!

    On part 40 of the podcast. Hate to admit I've neglected the youube content as of yet. I'll get to it when I finish the podcast, just wanted to say thanks for the seemingly endless content. A lot of it is under reported, so much more went on in the Pacific than most of us were taught. I'll donate when I'm able too, keep it up.

    One of the most confusing and most interesting periods in Chinese history

    • @ThePacificWarChannel
      @ThePacificWarChannel  Рік тому +2

      I sort of wanted to combine what is called "the central plains war" with the warlord era, but a lot of historians like them kept separate, so it could have gotten much more confusing haha. I don't think I am done with the warlords 1916-1928 however, so many people are messaging me to hear more about the regional conflicts I could not possibly cover, take just Guangxi province for example, sooooo much going on

      -1911
      -The Founding of a Party
      -Beginning of the Great Revival (pretty sure this one has that clip)

      Lot of time passed between Northern Expedition and end of the civil war and things changed. Chiang made a lot of mistakes over the years and drove people into the arms of the Communists
