I’d just like to say thank you for your uploads! I enjoy watching these longer style videos when I shiny hunt. Story time: I’ve been hunting a shiny Rhyhorn in the safari zone for months now. I’ve come across 5 shinies and have failed them all. But the day you posted this video, I was at 37,879 for my next phase and BAM shiny Rhyhorn finally appeared. This was my 3rd attempt to catch this shiny and I FINAL caught it after 3 months, while watching this video. I named it Mike in honor of you and this video. 🎉Thank you for giving me the determination

I’m five phases and 4 and a half months deep on pokemon x and y route 11 for dedenne, approaching 30k encounters total, and it feels like it’s been ages. I can’t imagine the determination needed for something like this. Mad props for pulling through

Im glad you finally got it! This is one of my current hunts, I've been going for one phase before I get the bike (so no repel trick yet) but I'm currently over double odds for even my first phase, at this point I'll take your phase curses just to get a shiny to start this playthrough lol, very excited for the ralts video!!!!

I’m kinda stupid when it comes to shiny hunting, but can someone explain to me what shiny hunters mean by the word phases?
Not stupid at all!! A phase is simply a shiny that is not your target.
For example in this hunt, my target was shiny Ralts. Every single shiny I found that wasn’t shiny Ralts, was a “phase”
For a nipicky graphic design tip for the thumbnail: seedot should go in front of zigzagoon so you see it’s face. Heavens know you’ve seen it’s face more than you wanted to lol.
Ah you know what- that makes a lot more sense than what I did lol. I’ll make the change in a bit!

It when you get a shiny that isn’t the one you are going for. So since he is going for ralts, every time he gets a shiny that isn’t shiny ralts, that’s a “phase”
