@@zerox02 the oneplus 8 has a smaller screen with a lower resolution and plus you get the hole punch camera that many people don't like so i kind of get what he is saying , aside from that the 8 has more power .
Got my 7 Pro a few months back, and I'm loving it. The full screen display has spoiled me to the point that I refuse to go back to a notch or hole punch. If my 7 Pro goes bad for whatever reason, I'm getting it again, or if Oneplus makes a new full screen phone.
I have used it for nearly 2yrs....but I intend to use it for the next 5yrs. I would by another one plus 7pro in 2yrs. The storage unit s my best 256gb. The phone is so amazing. So fast and smooth.
@@bilalboubeker7308 that's not shadow man. It's screen burn-in. In Amoled display phones, if u use ur phone always at peak brightness, u can observe a pinkish tint on ur screen.. as the fingerprint sensor keeps lighting up to its peak brightness, it would eventually burn the screen and leave a pinkish mark. If u are really bothered by that, u can change the display of ur phone, but it would cost almost half the price of the handset.
Jep, would really like to know where this is to be had for (even around) $300,- Even the cheapest 6GB-128GB version is at least €562,- (Netherlands)...
I went from a OnePlus 6 to a Samsung S10e for a downsize in phone, something I regret I did. So I've sold my S10e and picked up a OnePlus 7T for 330 euros, barely used 3 months old. Decided to go with the 7T instead of the 7 Pro because I really wanted a flat screen and the trade off in the rest of the specs was worth it for me personally
I love how modest you are! You say you’re nitpicking when pointing out flaws when it’s part of a review. You make yourself seem like the average consumer while giving amazing comparisons and descriptions. Thanks for doing you!
I can say this is my All-Time favorite phone! I've owned a lot of phones from the Sidekick on, and this phone still kicks butt. Just got it back for $200 and it's shocking how amazing and fast it STILL is. I'd recommend this over ANY 2021 Midrange release.
I'd recommend it over flagships too ! Think of it this way; it's not only cheap, but it's also cheap to replace! And the notchless screen is still something that wows randoms on regular ! I can't imagine a 'casul' mobile user (your non-tech friends f.e) needing more speed than this phone offers, it has premium metal frame, I love using it without a case.
Thank you so much for making this video, this is literally exactly what I did, waited for the 8 Pro to release, and this phone, just a year old, is one of the best phones, let alone for 400$
Aaron, I'd like to thank you for finding out about this phone last year from you. This is what I got for Christmas as a gift for myself. Until now, it's still excellent in my opinion. It doesn't have an annoying notch. The battery still lasts me a whole day without charging, with a short charging time because of the Warp charging. Also, it saved me from buying wireless chargers. I'm not looking to upgrade for another 2 years because this really holds up really nice.
It feels so good to watch this video. I have been using 7 pro since June 2019. No problems ever. Will use this for another year and I m sure it I'll work well
Interesting, I always buy my flagship 6 months to a year after they are released. They are usually 40-50% cheaper and are still current. Buying the latest is never a good option financially. It only gives you bragging rights.
Well... Mostly I agree.. But I got the Note 10+ one month after it was released and even today it still is a great deal and I really struggle to find it any cheaper than the deal I got. Maybe I could save aprox 50 - 60 USD buying it today.. And with my older S9+ I even got a Gear S3 Frontier for 50 USD + Icon X for free in the deal. And it did not give me any bragging rights since I am an adult and not a 14year old child.
Complete facts right here. The OnePlus 8 has never intrigued me; I only desire the 7 Pro as my next smartphone. Hole-punched displays are NOT the future. It's disgusting.
@@CrashBashL True, the thing that really got me was when they were questioning the reliability of the motorized pop up camera as if having motors on things that open and close was a thing that had just been invented! I guess they've never heard of cd players, VCRs, power car windows, powered car seats, linear tracking turntables (I have one from 1981 and it still works), DAT players, minidisc players and the countless others devices that have motors in them! 😃
You know what bugs me the most? Most youtubers saw the motorized camera as a flaw but when the OP 8 came out they criticized the hole punch. So, which one is it? I always loved the pop up camera because I rarely use the front camera. Why spoil a perfectly uninterrupted screen?
@@aries3744 Exactly. Best feature of the OP7 Pro was the full screen estate and the pop out camera. I'll keep my OP7 Pro for another 2 years if I don't find a replacement with same features but better specs.
Wow, you really did justice to the onplus 7 pro! You're the only one pointing out that camera improved A LOT through the updates and that it is still very good nowadays with the Gcam. I just have to precise that yes, it has water resistance. No IP rating because the phone would have coste around 50$ more, but it is. I'm using it from its launch and I wouldn't change it even for a 2021 high end, cause the notchless screen simply is better than any other phone today and the rest still competes
I have a one plus 6t. I didn't use my phone for 5 month. I started my phone thinking that it wouldn't start without charging. And it blew my mind when it started and showed me 58% charge. I was already in love but man this is out of this world.
I got mine in January this year, and I wanna talk about some things to look out for, for people looking to buy the phone now 1. The camera is very slow to take photos. It takes a while from pressing the shutter button to the picture being taken. GCam does fix this. 2. The UI gets laggy and buggy after a few days of use, then the phone has to be rebooted. Let me know if you want an elaboration. 3. There's a new build of GCam that lets you use all 3 lenses (previously, you could use just the main) 4. Curved screen has bad edge rejection, so if you don't have a case, get the EdgeBlock app. 5. It's hard to find good screen protectors for curved screens and there's risk of damaging the phone for UV ones. 6. My battery has degraded to 89% after 8 months.
Bro, go to OnePlus service centre and complaint them about all this, as mine is working just fine other than smaller two software issues. My camera is not laggy and UI works fine and fluid. Go now as it's under warranty.
@@wizz.8236 Hey, thanks for the advice I don't think there's anything wrong with the phone. The UI bugs only show up if you use gesture navigation and hide the bottom bar, which you may or may not be doing. It affects my sister's OnePlus 7 as well, and I've seen other reports of the issue, so I'm not too worried about it. The camera is however much slower to take photos compared to other flagship devices from even a few years past. Perhaps you did not notice it? A few Google searches like "OnePlus 7 Pro shutter lag" will show you it's a prevalent issue. Turning auto HDR off greatly increases the speed. I think the phone is great and I love it, but these are some real caveats which may tick some people off, but your mileage may vary :D
In my opinion, still the perfect flagship in the market right now (price). Damn, it even looks more futuristic than 8 Pro 🤣 The processor still a beast, the speakers, the design, *NO NOTCH/PUNCH HOLE* and also it has water ressistance, but One Plus didn't made the IP test Because of the price (you can check that on youtube) But, the cameras are maybe the worst thing of the phone, im not saying they're garbage, but there are much better phones out there. At least, it doesn't has a awful squarish module of cameras
bought the 7T Pro a week ago, very happy with it, though over here the prices haven't dropped much, it's still 720$ (610 euro) new, there are no used deals since OnePlus is a basically non-existant brand and nobody has them...
Had heard about the quality of your channel for a while but never got around to checking it out. Mrmobile's recent giveaway prompted me to do just that and I'm glad I did, the content and the shots you take are just plain out beautiful and i can't wait to catch up with all the videos I've missed and the ones you'll make in the future.
I just got it as a secondary phone (my main one is an iPhone 12). But I have found myself using it more than the iPhone. The screen is fantastic, and the fluidity is breathtaking

I bought a new one one of these for $325 one month ago based on this video and could not be happier.
ALL TRUE. Have A op7 PRO and I feel like I scammed Oneplus from this BARGAIN OF A DEAL
Assuming you got this from Amazon brand new, it's good for the price, not an absolute steal though.
I mean I bought my OP7T Pro for 610 euro (720$) a week ago... Here in Europe prices haven't dropped at all... But it's STILL the best deal out there, literally nothing else compares still.. The OP 8 is 650 euro- 770$, literally 50$ more for a worse phone... .___.

I'd recommend it over flagships too ! Think of it this way; it's not only cheap, but it's also cheap to replace!

Interesting, I always buy my flagship 6 months to a year after they are released. They are usually 40-50% cheaper and are still current. Buying the latest is never a good option financially. It only gives you bragging rights.
Me too, I bought mine half a year after release, much better price 230 dollar off the price. And earphones included op2! Great deal!
it also gives you 6 months to a year more time of using a better phone if you think it's worth the money
People don't just buy them to brag.. I don't ever brag but I pay the premium to have the latest technology 👌🏼
It might change next year 5G is coming, but it eventually comeback like that until 6G
Complete facts right here. The OnePlus 8 has never intrigued me; I only desire the 7 Pro as my next smartphone. Hole-punched displays are NOT the future. It's disgusting.

I picked one up for $280 on ebay mint condition because you sold this phone so well and I hardly ever take selfies. Going to receive it in some days.
I got mine in January this year, and I wanna talk about some things to look out for, for people looking to buy the phone now
1. The camera is very slow to take photos. It takes a while from pressing the shutter button to the picture being taken. GCam does fix this.
2. The UI gets laggy and buggy after a few days of use, then the phone has to be rebooted. Let me know if you want an elaboration.
3. There's a new build of GCam that lets you use all 3 lenses (previously, you could use just the main)
4. Curved screen has bad edge rejection, so if you don't have a case, get the EdgeBlock app.
5. It's hard to find good screen protectors for curved screens and there's risk of damaging the phone for UV ones.
6. My battery has degraded to 89% after 8 months.
Nasif thank you for the review
Bro, go to OnePlus service centre and complaint them about all this, as mine is working just fine other than smaller two software issues. My camera is not laggy and UI works fine and fluid. Go now as it's under warranty.
@@wizz.8236 Hey, thanks for the advice
I don't think there's anything wrong with the phone.
How can you tell regarding the battery degrading?
Is it in settings? Or just your personal feeling?
@@mef12727 There's a OnePlus app called Oneplus diagnostic that you can install which tells you how much battery degradation has happened

The processor still a beast, the speakers, the design, *NO NOTCH/PUNCH HOLE*
and also it has water ressistance, but One Plus didn't made the IP test Because of the price (you can check that on youtube)
But, the cameras are maybe the worst thing of the phone, im not saying they're garbage, but there are much better phones out there. At least, it doesn't has a awful squarish module of cameras
I have the 7T. Beast. The pocopjone f2 pro is only $400 new and it has a snapdragon 865. Definitely looking at that one
bought the 7T Pro a week ago, very happy with it, though over here the prices haven't dropped much, it's still 720$ (610 euro) new, there are no used deals since OnePlus is a basically non-existant brand and nobody has them...
