Funny I don’t fancy green colour on car is nice to see someone who does like this colour so much 😅!!! I have one supercharged santorini black and another one dark bleu so far so good !!
I love this! Im actually picking up a 2012 L322 Supercharged tomorrow to go with my L405 5.0 supercharged and 95 RRC and 2 Jag XK's with NA 5.0's. All of the 5.0's in the driveway are super happy because they get oil changes every 3k miles. All the parts you described come to about $3k if you do the labor. Ill shop out the timing chains and supercharger snout, but water pumps/alternators are cheap and easy to do.
Great summary! I bought a 2010 Supercharged with 137k on it wholesale. Surprisingly reliable other than brakes fading and cel light on for eternity. 165k now and still going. still get a few looks in it too.
Hey man, hope you're doing well, Would you mind sharing the list of things you had the shop changed that racked up to 9k? I'm having it done here Canada by a reputable LR specialist and I was quoted ~5kUSD for timing chain and waterpump OR ~10kUSD to do timing chain + headgaskets, walnut blast the heads. @@andys_toy_story
Do you think it would have made more sense to buy one with lower miles? Most vehicles are pretty much worn out once they reach that sort of use.Great looking vehicles.
It is my favorite looking SUV on the road by far, that and the old Discovery 2's. I would just never get one due to reliability and repair cost reputation lol. I had a jeep wrangler in highschool that had to have a headgasket job at 210k miles, it was $1,100. My friend drove a 2007 range rover that also had to have headgaskets that same year, at 92k miles, and it was over $6,000. 6x the price of the jeep for the same repair job, from the same mechanic even. It was then I decided I would never get one. But man, they do look good and ride good. I hope all range rover owners get many miles out of theirs.
I agree with you that they are an amazing car to have. But you don’t have to be spending nearly £10k to keep it on the road. If you don’t go to stupid dealers or expensive mechanics that just rub their hands together every time they see a Range Rover owner drive in. Maintenance costs are very reasonable given the luxurious nature of the car. Granted it’s no where near fiesta money but if you go with a good trustworthy mechanic, decent OEM parts rather than genuine, they’re very easy to own.
Yeah they’re not terrible. The shop I go to is very fair, but this car needed everything. It was a daily for 10 years and was needy in terms of getting it right. If you have one and keep up with it… not as bad for sure
I don’t, sold the truck… but it was smooth as butter. Little bit of valve train noise, but that’s normal. I sold them when they were new… that’s how they sounded

What tire size do you have on your car ? Is it 19 or 20? Got my self also L322 supercharged and looking for some at tires.
Nice truck man! I have 2 Range Rover’s 2012 and a 2008 very reliable vehicles. Find yourself a good honest mechanic. Find a location that sell Range Rover parts not!!!!!! The Range Rover dealership….. you will have no problem
The video was on the way to sell the truck… I miss it but had a lot of money tied up in it. It was ok once I fixed everything. Just had to do an alternator on it.. regular old car stuff
Love the Color combo but gotta disagree the Fuji white/Peanut butter has to be the best option right above the China Black/red, in my opinion and there’s not many of them maybe 50/500 in North America. Long live the L322 Autobiography and especially the Ultimate edition.
uhh yeah u know, this car I kinda… kinda… not a fckn Silverado to use and maintain. Fabulous. this britass mf gives you the best of luxury smooth but sporty when needed riding and handling even in its 15 grand of expenses. And yeah, off course it has an ATs. Why not. On a highway driven luxury suv…
Is this how all Americans talk? A strong "ummm" after every 4-5 words? It's hard to keep track of what you're trying to convey. Anywhere else in the world this would be classified as a speech impediment.
One of my dream SUV cars even it's an old model. Anyway, the style never gets old!
Very true!

Glad you’re enjoying it! I’m sure mine will go for years to come… but it was a basket case when I got it!
@@andys_toy_story Massive regrets now ? Green, brown leather AND petrol V8.. My dream for sure.
I mean you did all the work, so then it's a reliable one for a long time... But thanks for posting:)

We needed more highway pulls with exhaust notes, shooo

Yeah I bought it online and it said it had low 160s when it showed up it had high 170s. I might still have it if it was 10k miles younger

Do you have a video of the engine at idle after doing the timing and supercharger service?

I have 21s from a L405 on my 2009 5 litre supercharged L322
They were 20s the tire size was 265 if I remember. Rubbed a little… would go 255 but I had the 265s in the garage
Perhaps luck but 275/45/21s don't rub at all.
@@andys_toy_story thx m8, Finally i got 255/55/19 pirelli scorpions at plus for my car and they are great.

Did you call that a truck?
Yeah
Thinking about owning it. Would recommend in 2023?
Check your bank account
Other than that it's the hottest smoothest beast of an SUV you can own...
I drove a ‘23 I really like the l322 more but I don’t have the coin for a 23 so moot point for me, ha!
How has it been running since you fixed the alternator? Any issues?

Oh ha you already knew I did the alt
Andy did you forget to shave?
No shave December a thing?

i'm American and i do not carry my Range Rover a Truck. don't put all of us in the same bag please ?
Honestly for me the difference between a truck and an suv is a truck can get scratched and it’s not a big deal haha.
Not a truck it's a suv
Cool
Lol even fiat's are ultra reliable compared to jlr cars.
Jlr can be good but it’s a crap shoot haha
Only Americans call a RR a " Truck"... 🤬
Sorry, Lorry.
We usually don’t. At least I don’t. This guy is just weird lmao.
