Haha it feels very Bayonetta to me with the super reflex time mixed with DMC style switch for the guns on dpad along with Max Payne. I kind of love that you have to get those perfect dodges to juice the scoring too. The game feel here is just excellent

Thanks FD! It’s pretty cool in that the high score perfect runs will be very different from proper speedruns too with the scoring system here. I can see NG runs being really fun since you have to do objectives to keep the level unlocks rolling. The Skater Must Die mode should be fun too!

Agreed! As someone who normally plays games like apex on mnk, Its a nice relaxing change of pace without sacrifing that feeling of fluidity depth of mechanics.
No multiplayer in this unfortunately, coop would be great and I’d love to see a mode where still working together but score is compared at the end like in Typing of the Dead multi. Hope it does well enough for a sequel or 8 like TH games

Do you have to kill everyone? Or how does the run end? It feels like I'm playing forever until I finally die 10 minutes later... How do I finish a run?? It has felt random so far
Yeah the level ends when you eliminate all of the enemies, some are far out of the way in later levels. You can blow through the game pretty fast on a speedrun but optimal play for score is maintaining combo and waiting on the kills as long as possible so it feels pretty different depending on what you are trying to achieve. Glad more people are still picking this game up, hope you have fun with it!
Ehhh I don’t really see the point in flexing on these beginner levels since tbh it’s not that impressive with super basic enemies. The real pros of this game will emerge in the Out For Blood campaign levels
