Door gunners were often equipped with the same uniforms and helmets as the pilots flying the chopper, so this is actually more accurate than the game in that regard. So they weren't qualified pilots, but wore the same uniforms (at least that's what you can see in images).
@@sourcepotato_bwobby yes i know that, i was referring to the game tho where normally only the ground unit can mount the machine gun on chopper, otherwise that's the accurate one where you describing it.
