Your review is Spot on ! I bought two New Pearl Organic Green CT125's in December 2023. I would hope people would do there research before flopping down $5k + for these little bikes. I did, and they are exactly as you describe. Tons of fun with limitations for sure. We Love ours. I haven't added any accessories yet, but your bike has a lot of what I want. Thanks for a great and truthful review !

@bultacowally you do realize every male over 6 foot is gonna be 200-220+ right?
Now, 6'2 being 270lbs is definitely concerning a lil bit,
But at the same time I'm 6'5" and weight 270lbs. I work out 4 times a week, and most my weight is leg muscle, back muscle, and shoulder muscle.
But yeah, I could probably be 260-265lbs if I had a useful right leg to do cardio with, but point being... sub-300lbs isn't SUPER obese for 6' and up.

alright guys here's the scoop. I have a 2022, honda red. He is correct about understanding the limitations of this bike and what kind of situations it does well in. That being said I put a gold plug on it, and I have a big tool box I screwed into the threads on the back rack. That is literally all i've done and frankly that's all I plan on doing for a long time. That is because this bike is extremely capable and well built. I've never felt that the grips are uncomfortable, or that I couldn't see around my body with the stock mirrors, or that the seat is hard. I've ridden for hours at a time and I can put my whole hand on the stock heat sink, which gets warm, but never hot enough to actually burn you. In my experience, people still respect my space even though it is the color red. If you WANT to modify this bike then you absolutely should. Do you NEED to modify this bike to make it perfect? Absolutely not. Unless you are the pickiest person in the world, or you have a sponsor, then let this baby ride stock. Don't be fooled into thinking you need to modify the crap out of it. What you have in the stock version of this bike is incredible on it's own.

    Thx,
I test rode one yesterday and enjoyed my time. I live on a gravel road, but work in the city and I’m hoping this would be a good commuter - using back routes and the like. My wife could use it for errands too. I do worry about the size of the engine, but realistically, I’m more interested in travelling on gravel than any highways. I just need to figure out a dog carrier for the rear rack.

Great video. For mirrors, I recommend the Double Take folding mirrors (or the cheaper knockoffs.) With the rear case and rack extension, be very careful to not overload - since the weight is behind the rear axle. The owners who hate the CT125 buy it for the wrong reasons. My Honda walk-behind lawnmower has a bigger motor!!!

@@TimothyPoindexter-o4z - I think it comes down to use. Top (comfortable/cruising) speed for a 200lb person is around 50mph. Offroad, no problem - totally fun all day long. Commuting in places of 35mph, also fine. It’s when you get into areas with 45-55mph stretches of road that this bike (IMO) starts to fall short.

I have THE exact same seat on my CT. I have to say yes it is as hard as the stock seat but it is shaped so your weight is distributed over the whole seat and not just where your balls, sac, and gooch are so it is light years more comfortable on longer rides. Even my son said it was very comfortable compared to the stock seat. Your ass must be bonier than mine is and my ex wife always told me I have no ass. . Hey you want to spend the money for a Corbin seat be my guest. They cost almost a quarter as much as the whole bike costs and that seems foolish. Here's a better cheaper idea...buy an Air Hawk cushion. I bought one a while ago to put on a Kawasaki Versys I owned at the time. THAT seat was like sitting on a vinyl covered rock. I now have it on my Yamaha XT 250 and it is grand on that. I have owned many bikes in my life and i can say the only motorcycle company that knows how to make a comfortable seat is Royal Enfield. with just about all other brands the seat they put on their bike models are just an afterthought and most really suck.
