  • The East Kootenay Region of BC is home to some of the best dry fly rivers in North America. When you combine healthy populations of Westslope Cutthroat Trout with prolific hatches of Mayflies, Stones, and Caddis, it creates a fly angler's dream destination.
In the feature, we join the crew from Kootenay Fly Shop & Guiding for some Summer walk and wade action near the town of Fernie, BC

you guys are so blessed to have classified waters i have been begging our fwp to start doing the same as every water in Montana is unenjoyable with all the freaking people they have a couple years left in them until populations start collapsing and the fish populations are dwindling from angler mortality, the fish are all hook scarred its really sad.... we are very angry with the influx of people not from here but they don't care they will steal it from the locals if they have the means too and be glad about it! Keep it protected!

Caught some those beautiful cutties last year around Sparwood/Elkford. Dying to get back down there this summer/fall for more dry fly fishing. Excellent Rainbow fishing up north is keeping me going until then! Great filming guys of fish and scenery.
