The internet is a Buzz after Club Shay Shay had Comedian Funny Guy Katt Williams on. I have a lot of request of people wanting me to react to some of his comedy.

No kidding Irina My Dad was an Old School Crew Manager and He would use that Music to get Us working in Unison when Lifting and Moving Heavy Objects. They would Fire Him in these Days Using a Crew to Move a Steel Beam out of the Mud, By Hand while Playing Music. He would Yell , Inside Foot, Outside Foot over again until the Beam was out of the Mud.
Everything from the music to the product placement is controlled and researched to hypnotize the shoppers. Casinos in Vegas work the same way~ The carpeting is deliberately designed to look busy to keep you looking up at the slot machines. And floor layout is to force you to walk THROUGH the casino. Supermarkets are the same way. Best cheap deals are LOW on the self. Most expensive ( you guessed it ) Perfect eye level. As far as music in stores being slow and mellow ( possibly to keep people in a calm submissive state of mind to prevent aggressive behavior )
I think I heard this in GTA V My theme song would be "Dyson drops in (scars Suite)" you are right about the crappy music that plays in stores< I almost always use headphones when I'm in the stores so I only listen to my jams.

The music they play in stores is easy to listen music. It's just meant to be non-offensive, not distracting because they don't want you to focus on it but on shopping. It's essentially meant to be white noise in the background instead of silence.
5:00 I'm guessing most grocery stores provide generic music because in their mind it will cause the customers to just focus on shopping and nothing else. And they also tend to provide music that will get you to relax and slow down. I'm not sure how much this has been studied over the years; it would be interesting to run tests to see if playing faster paced music increased or decreased sales

I just figured they keep it bland and boring so it offends the fewest people. It's the same with elevators.
