@MaggillaKutz71 Honey, yes! This was recorded when he first started out, so he was hungry for fame. I didn't know Tracy, but I'm sure he was one of those kids who rode on the school bus. He was loud and he was funny. 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️

Funny, but if a white guy said the same stuff about black people he would get cancelled so it's racist. Jk that 💩 s funny. But seriously, it's racist and funny. It just hits different coz we ain't mad. I get it. I'd be mad too. But damn. That's some funny racist stuff right there.

Don't forget this piece was recorded 30 years ago. This was the tone taken by many comedians at this time. I have access to a few Yo ' momma comedians, O.J Simpson and Rodney King satire, but I didn't want to be too scandalous or offensive. I'm pleased you were able to find the humor in his comedy.

@@culturallyurban to my way of thinking 30 to 50 years ago most comedians were funnier. They poked fun at the stuff that they're afraid to today. Pryor, Murphy, redd Foxx, Paul Mooney, Carlin, Lenny Bruce even...they'd all get cancelled. And that's messed up. America needs a couple bong hits and a sense of humor again. It's okay to be offended, it makes you think. And we need more thinking and less arguing now more than ever. Comedy should be the universal language again.

@@brianmorris364 you are correct we need to be able to poke fun at ourselves, again. Unfortunately, we have stop talking to each other. We are now a culture that 'slap first, and ask questions second.' We have become extra sensitive, I think we have been too passive about our real feels. Everyone fears being cancelled or being on the wrong side of anything not approved by the majority.
When I watch TV shows like All In the Family, some of Archie's comments are brash and offensive, but I respect him for speaking his truth. I look forward to hearing George's rebuttal or listening to his son in law correct him. Many times they are able to speak my feels.
I think comedy had more of a bite to it in the 70s and 80s because we had just transition from an era of segregation and now we are permitted to speak our truth. I don't know we're going from here?

@@culturallyurban as a white dude one of my favorite Chappelle skits is when the player haters go back in time and silky Johnson shoots the slave master over and over. I feel like the movie Django stole that bit from him in a similar scene. That's some funny stuff. Everyone knows they'd like to go back and shoot the mfer that did that stuff, just like we would shoot Hitler and a bunch of others lol Chappelle seemed to think only black people would appreciate that skit. But he was wrong, I've watched it over and over and crack up every time. Especially the part with Charlie Murphy's ancestor. Comedy gold. Lol all the player haters sketches were great but that one was good for the soul lol it's about justice. It's the same feeling you get when Ralphie beats up farkas in Christmas story. Everyone likes to see the bully go down. Comedy has no ethnicity by nature. It's just poking fun at the human condition. And we all need to appreciate the artists who can do it well, no matter who gets butthurt. If it's mean spirited it won't make it big commercially anyway. Everyone has the right to be an ahole here in America and I'll defend it to my last breath even if it's targeting myself.
