Very good video. I will try this block after I finish the one I'm doing now. Really glad to see that you are making quilting videos again. I really missed the tutorials.
I can give you an easier way to cut those lines. As soon as the square is marked with the lines from corner to corner, use your ruler and rotary cutter to partially cut them. Make a cut in the center at least an inch long on one of the lines. Then cut the other line, but not through the center. Make two short cuts, one on each side of the center line that is cut. Then lay your two squares right sides together and sew around the outside. Now it is easy to slip your scissor tips in to cut the lines all the way. When the squares get bigger, the cuts can be longer, but all that is really needed is a hole for the scissor tips to get into. You can cut on your marked lines.
Hola Sra.
Excuse me again as I misspelled the author’s name - it’s Karin Hellaby. Her book,is Exploding Pineapples and there is a video for explanation. Just bothers me when the person who initially did this method isn’t mentioned.
My 2024 goal is to expand my quilt making and this block was my first challenge. Thank your tips. I feel ready to give it a go!
Wish I could know what size each square is I love how this looks
Karin, I LOVE your technique for the pineapple quilt! Thanks so much for sharing this. So simple, and no costly rulers! Your quilt is lovely!
Karin’s method is so much better than using a ruler as it has no waste. Goodness knows how these methods are thought up!
love to watch your vidios, they make it look so easy. You are really helping to keep quilting alive. Thank you
