Nice video! With very long description fields I made a small script that basically copies each description cell in a note placed in another cell in the same row. In this way anybody can read full descriptions just holding the pointer over that cell.
Great video! That search and replace feature is something I've never thought of doing before! For me, I like merging cells at the top and creating a big cell for a title or description, as well as setting the header row to a different color, typically one that's a darker variant of the color I used in the alternating rows.
Very nice video. Everything in a single video. Regular expressions in find and replace, data validation, border styles, conditional formatting all in a single video and very nicely explained. Thankyou
I suggest highlighting exception values, whether amounts, times or True/False values for action. So the Yes/No column I would select blank for the most common value (No) and focus attention on the presence of a Yes value to alert a reader and generate a response.
Can you do a tutorial about embedding google sheets on a site and what we can do with it? Can there be a search function if embedded? Can the sheet be shared without knowing who to invite to view while also staying a private sheet? Etc
This is a really cool video ! I learnt a things or to ! (especially with the number formatting). Next time, you should present the line conditional formating depending on only one cell in the spreadsheet ! :D Let's suscribe! Keep up the good work ! Thank's you
I knew many things you did in this video. Also that formating for poisitve , negative & zero numbers was new for me , check box methods were also pretty good. Nice content for beginner. You are doing great work sirji. keep doing it. I appreciate your work
Nice video! I would love to watch something related with statistics and charts (as usual the perfect speed set for your video is 1.25x). You've been making a nice work sharing all that knowledge.
@@ExcelGoogleSheets I am currently building a family tree google site and would like to incorporate Google Tables as a relational database to record, edit and and display family members and relationships through the Tables forms and workspaces. I am currently using sheets to accept the data with Forms then use App script to create a Doc for that persons data for each entry. This is just a family project not a commercial site so cost is a factor. Being Tables is relational and Workspaces can be made to be user friendly I was hoping that it could be utilized in sites as a replacement or used with sheets. This looks like it could eventually become an online replacement for Microsoft Access which I use extensively on the desktop but cannot use online.
Nice video, thanks. May I know what tool did you use to create the cover page of this Video? The color of the Font with gradient color, and Google sheet on its background, how did u make it?
Is there a way to freeze the data dynamically once it is entered in the cell by a colleague in sheets? It can be done in excel but I haven't been able to do it in sheets
I'd very much like to know that. Maybe with a script... haven't looked into it yet, but I'll definitely need it down the line, so let's see if someone already knows :)
@@ivane.garcia7292 The sheets or ranges can be protected, but my concern is that I work in a collaborative environment in which 2-3 people work parallel to each other. So if one enters some data in the cell it should automatically freeze that cell so that it cannot be changed by anyone except the admin.

Awesome work, your videos are amazing! Keep up your great work!

I hit the like button before going through the tutorial and I didn't regret it. Thanks. Anymore tips on Google Query and SuperSQL? We are waiting.
Please make a video on Power BI
👍👍
I think this video not teach me about design, is teach me how to use Excel. I love it this video
How about doing a video on the Google Tables (Relational)
I couldn't find any practical application to this with what they currently have available. Am I missing something?

@@ExcelGoogleSheets Hi, thanks for the eccellents videos. Could you do some video related get mails from gmail inbox to Google Sheets? regards
@@reinof_ash5221 Thanks for the link. This looks fun. Like Airtable but Googlier.
Sweeeeet!!!
Thank you!

The color of the Font with gradient color, and Google sheet on its background, how did u make it?
I want to ask you: why did you add an initial column to the left and that rows at the beginning? Great video, thanks!
It's for better symmetry and for making things look a bit less jammed together.
I actually do this too. And one more thing is you can add header to make this table easy to understand for who see it first time.
Yes, but don't do this if you plan to use the data in other files. It gets complicated to work with empty rows at the beginning
can you pls do the attendance sheet for student with multi sheet :D
Nice job. Very thorough. Do you ever use the Theme option under Format?
I use it when I have Pivot Tables and Charts.
@@ExcelGoogleSheets Thank you!
i need this data set

Would it work to set protection over a specific range? Once that's done, only the users you select will be able to edit that range.

There is no normal way to do this.
is there a tutorial for setting a timestamp based on a cell value. I've used function but it changes the whole sheet every time i reload.
I'd add a sticky/fixed header, not sure how it's called
Row freeze?
Can anybody help me about the fill color in sheet not showing some color and most problem it not show color in the cell . Thanks
Click on the cell, go Under Format-Conditional formatting and see if there are rules applied.
13:50 This could be done eaiser for users. Come on, Google Designers!
It's already pretty much as easy as possible...
good video but not a fan of small fonts. you need to be aware of your users of the spreadsheet--Not all have Hawkeyes :-)
Title font is gradient... I watched the whole thing to learn a lot but nothing was said about gradients 🥲
I'am Google Spreadsheet Creative
I'am Drawing Building, office and college University with sheets
