Very misleading calling this a land surveying app. This doesn’t even come close to the accuracies of a land survey. Your phone is not capable of measuring locations accurately enough to determine land boundaries. This is at best a novelty and should be regarded as such. Signed a concerned professional Land Surveyor.
This app can be connected with a gnss receiver, and then you get a centimeter accurate position. Further we do say that you can't use your only your phone if you want to land survey accurate. So actually we are saying the same
It appears I need to actually know my own property line in order to use this. My problem is I don't know where my property line is. I need to find it. So there is no app that will do that, is there? Our property pins are non-existent or we would just use those. Oh well, guess I'll just put up my fence and hope for the best. Hahaha.
Thanks. I can see this would be useful to ball park property lines, and if they appear really off, then to bring in a professional land surveyor. Sometimes fence lines, in rural areas, slowly get moved as the fences fall and then are replaced.
Thanks for your share knowledge Let me explain these two Question 1.How to transfer data to PC what format file will be 2.should app support Point pick up as RTK
Hi Owen, thanks for your question. You have to understand that in a phone there is a GPS chip and in a GNSS receiver there is an RTK module. The RTK module can use correction data and a GPS chip can't. That is the difference. So if you want to land survey accurate you should work with a GNSS receiver or with a tablet like our Apglos Armor Pro that does have an integrated RTK module
Thanks for you share knowedge and guidance survey kindly please support to fix this issue When I click the Point I receiev warning message. "The last received position is more than 5 second...." How to fix it With out connect antena only the apglos can pick up point and how get stelet information
You can find property corners with our software. But if you want to do it accurate you need to connect it with a gnss receiver. Phone gps modules itself are not that accurate
@@Apglos using a gnss receiver does NOT tell anyone where property corners are. They only provide a position based on the datum and geoid used. They are a measuring device, nothing more.
It appears from the error, if you were to hold the phone over the point that was used with GPS survey. You may have had a closer figure for the area to that arrived at by the GPS unit. 968 sq m corresponds to approx 31 x 31 m and 1395 sq m corresponds to 37 x 37 m. Please see if you trace it one more time and check. Make sure the phone is not covered overhead. How about the specific GPS coordinate readings given by the 2?
i find that we expect English or good English in videos, but 70% of the time are ears bleed trying to understand all the languages... I do take a step back as we are not the world and there are zillions of other people too.
Yes the app Apglos Survey Wizard saves the heights of all mapped points. Of course when you want to know the heights you need to know at what level the antenna is of the ground level. You can fill this in in Other settings
Haha my wife says I sound like a robot 😁 The phone and the GPS rod were held on the same spots. The accuracy of a phone is never the same as the one of a GNSS receiver.
Pretty sure this will get you sued for certain in my country, and probably beheaded in others. This is just "Mapping." If you turn in this map to an engineer for a civil design, you will be laughed at. If you bring it to court for a property dispute you will lose the case... If you use it to plan a landscaping project on land you definitely own, that's probably okay... Ok well he redeemed himself in the end by showing that app wasn't even close at all.
That is the whole point of the video. If you just use the app with your phone you will get not that accurate results, but if you use Apglos Survey Wizard with a GNSS receiver you get very precise results.

Let me explain these two Question

Thanks for making this video. Is it possible to use differential correction with two phones to get accurate results?

I’d like to find property corners using your software and a recorded surveyor’s plat. Is this possible?

This guy and this video is a waste of time you cannot understand this dude
😁

I thought the guy was faking an accent at first. I was like that's racist lol
Real accent🤣

Thank you sir🥰
You are welcome
The thumbnail indicates problems. I mean if that not an "it's iffy" body language, I don't know what is.
We will practise more on the thumbnails. Thanks for the advice
Couldn't understand a thing he said. Liked it anyway...
The good thing is that you enjoyed it 👍😉
interesting software
Thanks
The app doesn't work in my phone
Can you download the app?
What Android version you have?
Just to let you know, no county/municipal auditor in their right mind would record a property survey shot with a phone app.
I have to contradict that. Municipalities are our clients. For accuracy they connect the Apglos Survey Wizard with a GNSS receiver.
Lol sorry but you have a very digital voice….would it have been different if you had placed your phone on the same points as the staff was placed?
