As someone with absent seizures, I’m so glad there are people bringing awareness to it. One time in class, I had a absent seizure (a longer one than usual) but it was so awkward bc the teacher asked me a question and got no response for about 3 minutes until she asked someone else. She ended up thinking I had just gone nonverbal as this was prior to my diagonsis. :’)
Now that im aware of this i no longer judge people ever and literally never micro aggressively use my words as weapons because we are all mentally ill and its not fair
I've had friends that faint in school. One of them we got a teacher for each time because it was new to him and he was actually developing a medical issue. The second one had POTS and could tell when theirs was about to happen and would tell one of us beforehand. We didn't have to get a teacher for them because we knew it was normal and treated it like so
Growing up with epilepsy if I was having a fit and had an absence seizure (of which I had about 30 a day) my family would just trade places to confuse me so I’d stop the fit. You truly aren’t conscious and it’s really hard.
@@CowCake56789"a fit" or "a bout" can refer to a disorder episode. I personally called my pots feinting "attacks" but some people refer to them as fits or bouts.. or episodes.
See this really worries bc I have a lot of teachers that make a big deal out of people who are falling asleep or even look like they’re gonna fall asleep in class
Weird yet fascinating and kind of cathartic to watch as this has to be what I look like during my absences, too, at least approximately. I do stop blinking though, or my eyelids start fluttering fast instead. I sometimes faint, but most of the time I just freeze completely, as if someone pressed a pause button on a robot. And you're right, we go unconscious, no thoughts, just the brain "rebooting". My face (around the mouth mainly) also sometimes twitches and I can feel it afterwards when I come to. Feels like all the muscles in my face tensed up. Anyone else experiencing that? (I have atypical epilepsy, not Tourette.) I'm very glad you're able to get the education you want despite it all and I'm extremely impressed and proud of you! All my best wishes!!❤
Awe bless. So glad you spread awareness. I remember back in school, i was in english class, went all dizzy, all I could see were numbers and letters and then head hit the desk. I really hope your teachers are supportive. Much love.

It kinda reminds me of when i lose control of my eyes for a few second, i'm still aware but it feels weird,I can say outloud what i'm thinking most of the time i'll just say wait a second i'm spacing out. But I just have to wait a few seconds, max of like 10 seconds before i can start doing what I was doing previously, it never happened while moving around.
