During one of my middleschool years a classmate collapsed from seizures during lessons in two separate occurrences-can confirm it is scary as hell particularly the first time when you don't know what it is... We had to quickly slide our tables away from him so that he didn't hit them during the convulsions (you can easily fracture bones like that as the shaking is often violent). Few years later during the bus ride back to home, a girl at the back of the bus had one too. This was more complicated as a bus is a crammed area by nature and obviously the seats are not moveable-so we just laid her inside the best we could, used some of our vests/backpacks to block her from hitting something hard, then once the bus had parked and she stopped convulsing, the driver made the emergency call and we put her on the ground until the fire dept EMTs arrived... As with any emergency, it is crucial to react QUICKLY. And obviously to have the victim transported to a hospital ASAP. Because the most severe seizure cases can be life theatening. As spectacular as it looks though, if the correct action is taken as fast as possible, in most cases a seizure-affected person can recover without much complication...

Nice video I needed to see it. As, last year, my sister had seizure for the first time. And, I was alone at home, next to her, that too fast asleep. She was awake & playing mobile game. When she got the seizure. 😔
Yes you can't lift the person at the time of seizure... You need to wait until it settled down... If we try to lift them there are possibility to bite their tongue...
Yo I came here right after juices death, it's just sad and ain't right, that good people we care about and look up too die. He was taken away way to soon RIP juice 💔🙏
You can put them on their side if the seizure is long because some people will drool alot and can be easy to choke themselves .be very gentle when moving them dont try to stop their movements and make sure they can breath.my friend used to have them very often .
Everyone was talking about that they were here because of juice wrld when I’m just here because I found out my girlfriend had a seizure last night and is in the hospital right now
I don't think that what he doing is very much correct to the situation, first of all , there are so many type of seizure is this. In the shown video ,it seems to be basic stage. I would like to suggest some points such as if you see a person in this situation 1. Sit with him at the spot and keep his head in your thighs 2. Any harmful materials with him or aside keep it away or throw by yourself 3.If possible ,some of seizure cases the person will hardly bight their tongue with their full force, if you have lase or some thing you can keep in between his teeth, so that we can avoid tongue injury and this will take more days to recover its actual stage and he cant eat anything for more days. 4. you can make a round with your hand in his chest without disturbing him because ,in some cases ,patient will try to run away from the spot without target, it will make more problems. 5. Don't ask ,Don't talk anything to the patient for your understating or anything else, because it will be wrong answers and you will be misguided with him, let him relax. These are the main points I would like to suggest . After 10-15 minutes if there is no other injuries, fractures, pains he will be alright automatically. Other wise you can help him to reach the hospital. Before taking advice /tablets /treatment from a new doctor, please try to contact his family and check, what his current status. A doctor can suggest EEG , MRI and basic medicines. If he is already taking a medicine for this , it will be make some issues with the existing . Kindly note all the seizure activities are not one type. It will differ from person to person. And the suggested actions has to take in seconds , no time to think more. ..and one more thing I am not a Doctor...I am social activists only . Levetiracetam ( not Tablet brand name) with an additional combination seems to be the best medicine suggested for seizures up to my observation in different peoples. The patient can keep a Diary for Seizure chart for noting their seizure activities , it will helpful to the doctor for making a decision/Suggestion easy. Try to follow these things also if possible. 1. If you are a patient try to avoid single driving 2. Avoid solo tours , Staying , 3. Keep a basic distance from fire , water , dangerous places, heavy traffics, doors at vehicles etc... 4. If possible majority of the time you keep on sitting 5. Try to forget about your disease 6. run a happy life without stress and one more thing it is completely recoverable disease. You should take the medicines on correct timings without any delay and absence. Otherwise you have to restart the cycle again. If you take seizure medicines more years , you have to face side effects like partial memory loss, Parkinsonism, constipation , loss of concentration etc....... Any objections ,kindly replay !!!! Thanks for going through .... Roy Vamesh

Dear Lee Ann Steinmetz, After the seizure attack eases, we have suggested moving the person onto the side and tilt his or her head back to prevent choking.
what about, like in my dads case, they wander around like they lost their mind and its extremely obvious they don't know whats going on around them and walk into walls, actually has fallen down stairs. Keeping him in a safe area is not an option because he will physically force himself anywhere where he wants and trust me, practically no one can stop him. When he was picked up by an ambulance in this state they couldn't restrain him, and needed the police to get involved. One time we were asked if he was on anything that caused super strength. I say this because thats not an option. All i could do was constantly talk to him and keep eye out for any awareness to start to occur from any acknowledgement. This state usually lasts about 30 minutes and is so terrifying. His neurologist is lost on what this is, never heard or seen anything like it. He had a abscess and had brain surgery, the surgery had a 30% chance of survival because it was deep in the brain and if he survived, was likely to be a vegetable. Neither occurred, but over time its apparent there is brain damage based on difficulties with basic tasks at times and other times himself.

Can someone explain me why they tilt head back, because i think that cause the choking. Head tilt forward means vomit drain out of mouth, if im correct?
Don’t lean the head upwards (towards the sky). Since they have no control over their movements, that also means they have no control over swallowing. Always put the head on its side and let the drool or blood seep out of their mouth. Like gravity

The way he tilted the head back would result in a fatality. The mouth has to face down, not directly down but at an angle 45° and in a way that the vomit does not get into the nose.

DANGEROUSLY WRONG! Sorry to shout but yes put person on their side but the head HAS TO stay to the side as well to prevent choking to DEATH on vomit if they happen to do so.Never tilt head back where they would choke on vomit. Number 1 is protect the head then place them on there side.
The one thing about a seizure is that it scares everyone around the patiet as well the patient themself. At times, even hospitals don't know the correct protocol or are not familiar with drugs or treatment. Your head does not have to be turned to the side in all cases. I've had seizures for 30 years and have never vomited before or during one, so what the video shows is not "DANGEROUSLY WRONG" at all. It is simply something to remember and apply correct treatment immediately.
Do we turn the people on the side so that the breathing is okay and nothing goes in the lungs, after the convulsions have stopped or during the convulsions?

As, last year, my sister had seizure for the first time.
And, I was alone at home, next to her,
that too fast asleep.
She was awake & playing mobile game.
When she got the seizure.
😔
I had sezisure I don't feel good
But i have seen a person biting his tongue during seziure and got injured on tongue........??
Yes you can't lift the person at the time of seizure... You need to wait until it settled down... If we try to lift them there are possibility to bite their tongue...
Yo I came here right after juices death, it's just sad and ain't right, that good people we care about and look up too die. He was taken away way to soon RIP juice 💔🙏
Wasn't it self inflicted?
You can put them on their side if the seizure is long because some people will drool alot and can be easy to choke themselves .be very gentle when moving them dont try to stop their movements and make sure they can breath.my friend used to have them very often .
Everyone was talking about that they were here because of juice wrld when I’m just here because I found out my girlfriend had a seizure last night and is in the hospital right now
My girls sister has them
What the medicine for the seizure or any tablet ?

I have a seizure disorder and this helps out a lot...thank you.

Just a suggestion buttt you should make this video downloadable.
The video has your watermark so even if start and end is cropped people will know, and free publicity if it spread. This is real helpful information.

Ive seen some videos that skip past the convulsion. Do you let them shake it out first before puting them one their side?
Yes
oohhh this is helpfull My mom and dad is panic after my young brother having a seizure
Dear Lee Ann Steinmetz,
After the seizure attack eases, we have suggested moving the person onto the side and tilt his or her head back to prevent choking.
what about, like in my dads case, they wander around like they lost their mind and its extremely obvious they don't know whats going on around them and walk into walls, actually has fallen down stairs.
My bestie told me she had a seizure in art class. So i decided to watch videos on what a seizure was and what to do during one. That way I'll know what to do when she has a seizure when im with her.
What a great friend. My dad had seizures often since he had a stroke when I was in 3rd grade, so I gotta watch out for him too.
I know a doctor that can also help you get rid of it permanently he also save my life he can also help get rid of other illness......Kindly send me your WhatsApp number or email address so I can forward it to the doctor
It must be very helpful to those first timers who doesn't know what seizure is or other types of epilepsies
I just witnessed an attack at the railway station recently and saw blood from the mouth what could that have been if not a tongue bite?
Can someone explain me why they tilt head back, because i think that cause the choking. Head tilt forward means vomit drain out of mouth, if im correct?
Jack Jerenore you tilt the head back to keep the airway open. If you tilt the head forward it will close the airway and the patient will aspirate.
Don’t lean the head upwards (towards the sky). Since they have no control over their movements, that also means they have no control over swallowing. Always put the head on its side and let the drool or blood seep out of their mouth. Like gravity
benjamen success ,cud u tell me the medicine sis. My son has seizure.
krishnamorthi vasu comments like that are spam and should be reported/avoided. Be careful
I know a doctor that can also help you get rid of it permanently he also save my life...Kindly send me your WhatsApp number or email address so I can forward it to the doctor
Thank you for creating and posting this. I would suggest allowing the text at the end to remain a little while longer.
When I had a seizure I chewed my tongue apart, it wash like stewing beef. I was bleeding so much it would have caused me to drown if I had been alone.
This my biggest worry and still have no idea how it can be helped coz recently saw a case where during the attack blood was coming from the victim's mouth n have always known this to be a tongue bite...
God will heal you Rachel my bro case just disappeared

I tried to stop someone from falling to the pavement and getting hurt. I strained my back pretty bad. It seems one of the most dangerous part of seizures is the fall.
I can’t find help in how I should have prevented hurting myself.

@@manliestmanmanny7804 because this is a serious video and people come here because they or a loved one suffer from seizures, they don't care for these kind of comments.

@@nandiniagrawal4772 tq batane ke liye
Should we move them on the right or left side?
The way he tilted the head back would result in a fatality. The mouth has to face down, not directly down but at an angle 45° and in a way that the vomit does not get into the nose.
Meri mummy ji jo mirgi aati thi din 3 ya 4 bar aa jati thi bohot treatments karwaya but kuch aram nahi hua fr meri cousin ne ek dr ka no dia jo mene apni dp me likhi hun inki ayurvedic medicines se thik hue ab mirgi nahi aati mummy ko bohot aram hua mummy ji ko😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Person in seizure can bite tongue!
We can also give smoke of burning objects such as paper 📜 that is a good thing 😀
Wait couldn’t they do this to juice wrld😭😪
@@floobus8174 wtf stop being rude!!!!
I just wanted to say something
to keep the airway open I move the head back to prevent choking but not upward when the patient is in lateral position

During. They can choke on their own saliva

Thanks. Any video here demonstrating the same?
