everyone saying AUDI. Just because a car is faster does not mean it's better. these are both great cars for their category and either way you can't lose, speed is not everything. CLS is better overall, mercedes leads in safety, luxury and other top categories for a car. Mercedes is not a brand built for speed, these cars are for the people who appreciate the best in life the little things the luxury,Mercedes is a brand saying we are luxury but has speed when you need it, its not built to beat performance cars but the speed is there, even reliability mercedes is on top of audi and bmw, RS7 looks really nice btw I love audi too, i love german cars but just because it's faster don't mean it's better

I used to both, audi is more comfortable, how audi is not luxury I dont understand, and I can say audi rs7 2 times better than amg, if an engine is larger than 2000 cc audi gives you everything better, its my experience, maybe ı had ten different version of this brands

The difference in acceleration is due to gearing. Mercedes E/CLS is not aggressive at all in that department. They're geared for highway cruising, not bruising.
very true Mercedes gear is a lot less either 2.65 or 2.82 while the audi is a 3. something so audi should accelerate faster but not as fast top speed
How come that the RS7 has 750 HP with 4.0L engine while the CLS63 has "only" 700 HP with a 5.5L engine?
700-750 HP is max. you can reach (with the stock turbos) on the M5 / M6 / E63 / CLS 63 / RS6 / RS7.
Some owner don´t decide to push it to the max.

Hen zo stock Vs stock the Audi beats it. From a dig the MB gets raped (the only sedan that can beat the RS7 from a standing start is the Tesla Model S), from a roll it's pretty even but at the end, the Audi wins. You can see the race in GTBoard channel, and even if the Mercedes has the Performance package, it cannot beat the RS7. The RS7 Performance (45 hp more) destroys everything, even a 458...there's a video of that too.
