My thoughts, totally worth it
So worth it!!!
That sound! So full. Definitely need to hear some longer clips of you playing this.
It's incredible!
I like that acoustic and wish I could win one❤️
I'd love to win One too!
Gives some nice bell like treble
So good!
I've had several 000-18s in the past, but for some reason I've had to let them go. I played a collings om-1 a few weeks ago and I was sooo thoroughly impressed by it. I like to compare the om-1 with the 000-18 but the collings blows it out of the water.
Yeah I'd say so. But I've never been a huge fan of martins. They are a bit dark for my taste
Liar, you do sing, and you have a beautiful voice ❤️
You're biased
Happy to hear that your gigging! Let live music begin! (Again) I also prefer smaller body acoustics! Your Collings sounded deluxe!
Thanks! Yeah I love the sound
That instrument has such a beautiful tone! I love it! 💜 And you know, one thing about guitars is also true with women, at least in my experience. Women with smaller bodies do tend to feedback less than women with bigger bodies. 🤣🤣🤣 Before I got married I dated all shapes and sizes. The women with bigger bodies were brash, wild, loud and fun, while the smaller women were more reserved, thoughtful, calm and introspective, but still fun. Much less feedback. I was a professional firefighter looking for a lifetime partner that could handle things at home while I was gone for 24 or 48 hours, and sometimes longer, at a stretch. I chose a petite woman. 🤷♂️ I have a strange mind. You wouldn’t want to spend any time in there. 🤣🤣🤣
LoL 😂
It always seems that once you break the $3-4k mark, the guitar will be ruthless with your mistakes.
It looks like a shallow body?
It's still about 3.5 inches or so. But definitely more shallow then the larevee
@@guitartris8455 there was a crazy design that Santa Cruz and Breedlove were playing with years ago 3-5/8" up top that graduated to just shy of 5" on the bottom. Wild idea. Huge cost in production though
@@Who_TF_Is_Waldo I use to have a Santa Cruz! I miss it but the collings is absolutely 🔥
Is it any easier to play than other top level guitars martin taylor larivee etc?
I wouldn't say it's easier. In most cases I'd say the larivee is easier but it has a fun character to the feel that makes me enjoy playing it more.
@@guitartris8455 thanks for the quick reply I am in the midst of buying a new acoustic I already own a 1830-1860s Brazilian rosewood and spruce parlor that sounds amazing but is difficult to play even after a neck reset its a old guitar.
I do like larivees might keep my eye open for one I just want something very playable to practice on
@@lurk7967 that would be a good choice. Honestly you couldn't go wrong with either. I would even recommend Santa Cruz guitars they are great too. I promise either way you go you won't regret it.
I will say the collings has the most unique voice.
@@guitartris8455 I was watching some videos and you are right at least unplugged the Collings has a more balanced sound that cuts through and makes you notice it! Larrivee's to my ear sound more like Taylors and Collings are more similar to martin but brighter than a Martin! Truly a unique voice on these instruments you gotta listen to understand tho I'm sure in person it's very noticeable.
Locally on Classified ads there is a Waterloo WL-14MH for sale this is made by Collings I don't know if its quality control is as good as the OM1 but this is much more in my price range it's less than 3k, not more I have to go to a guitar store and play some instruments before I make any decisions guitar shopping is hard!
@@lurk7967 yeah give it a shot I think you'll like it. Collings has a high level of build quality. But definitely give it a play.
