Hi Graham, nice walk, good to get the fresh air, i actually dont mind rain.
Lovely to see Pinfold pies 🥧 oh were you tempted, love a quality pie shop.
The walk to Tesco was so nice in that little wood.
I enjoy the walks that you film as well, adore Yorkshire, i rate it better than Lancashire. Have a great day !

Good Morning Anna, thank you for the comment , I do like walking I must admit ! I love being in the open air and rain comes and goes and all it really does is wet you which is not an issue ., I was very tempted to go in to Pinfold Pies but I resisted the temptation - I like the walk to Tesco and the little woodland it makes it a nice end to the walk, Yorkshire has some beautiful areas mainly North Yorkshire - Lancashire is not a place I have explored very often ! I used to Exhibit my sculptures in Ramsbottom which was a lovely little town with some very interesting shops and a Steam Railway - and of course Bolton and Manchester but beyond that I have not been there very much ! I did once spend a weekend in Salford University at a conference and that was a depressing area ! we were warned not to leave the university after 7 pm or suffer the consequences ! so we stayed where we were ! Wishing You, Mark and the Family a Lovely Saturday :-)

What a beautiful Tranquil place you live. Is it always that quiet? I live in a rural area but it's not that pretty. Cheers Paul

Good Morning Paul, thank you for the comment - it was very tranquil yesterday - it is normally fairly quiet here during the day but it does liven up at weekends in the village - sadly there is a big drug problem here with pushers and buyers on every street corner - my neighbour has reported it to the police and even given them names and car registration numbers but so far nothing has been done - I guess it is that way in many towns and cities throughout the UK -have a great Saturday my Friend :-)

@@grahamjenkinson3487 That's sad to hear about the drug problem - it is always the quietest places, I used to live in a lovely place called Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands and it was rife for drugs. I mentioned the other day about Monkey Dust “Monkey dust” is a term that refers to a synthetic drug, also known as MDPHP, which has been causing significant issues in Stoke-on-Trent. It’s known for inducing severe psychotic episodes and aggressive behavior. The drug has been prevalent in the city since at least 2013, and there have been increasing concerns about its impact on both individuals and the community. Cheers Paul

Another nice walk about video for us Graham and a nice little town/village for us to see and as mentioned I liked the sound of Pinfold pies 🥧. Unfortunately all the local bakeries in my town have long since gone except for a bakery chain called Gerrards ,which is quite excellent but you need to remortgage your house for a steak pie. Growing up I loved the local bakeries, we used to go night fishing and in the middle of the night go to them and buy fresh baked pies, pasties and sausage rolls,no wonder we never caught any fish. And nice to see a working men's club still open and a big one at that, they and the Royal British Legion have all but closed in my town.In the next town a social club closed down and was acquired and proposed to be a Mosque but mistereriosly burt down in the night ??? after total outrage by the local community at the proposal 👍👍🥧👍

Good Morning Robert , thank you for the comment - Pinfold Pies is my favourite Pie Emporium they make some outstandingly good pies which never vary in quality and the price of £2.50p is excellent - great quality with the filling packed to the rafters - I have reviewed all their pies and given them all 10 out of 10 - I wish they would sponsor me !! lol Where I live is only a small village as you saw on the walk with very few shops - most people either go to the closest town which is Dewsbury or to Leeds to do their shopping - I wish I had called in for a pie now ! lol - I used to love fishing and I still enjoy Sea fishing when I get the opportunity - The Working mens club here is always very busy when it is open as are the pubs - it is funny really such a small place with three pubs a working mens club and a conservative club - There was a lot of controversy about the Mosque being opened with quite a few protests but it went ahead anyway after it was bought for 400,000 pounds - why it was opened nobody really knows as there are no Muslim people living in the village but when the Mosque is open there are a lot of worshipers in attendance and it creates havoc with cars being parked all over the place - it is strange that the proposed one in your town was burnt down ! was it ut down to an act of God for insurance purposes ? have a great Saturday my friend :-)

Hi Graham, that was a lovely walk, thanks for showing us where you live. I noticed the amount of pubs, etc. Where i live a lot have closed down over the years & have been turned into curry houses, shops or housing. We have 2 or 3 mosques, but when the latest was being built the windows got smashed & the place got graffitied, then in the local paper they were appealing to the public & businesses to help fund the rest of the building as they ran out of money. Nice to see a cafe & pie shop, all mine are inside the town centre. Every Friday my mom would take us kids walking to the next district where my nan & other relatives lived & she would go to the bank then the newsagents where we would get our comics, then to the butchers, then bakery where my mom would buy bread, pork pie & other things & we would choose a cake, then the greengrocers for the fruit n veg, then we'd go round to my nan's & have ploughmans (or we'd get something from the chippy instead) while reading our comics while my nan & mom were in the kitchen with a pot of tea. I loved those days, but all those shops are gone now & even the bank. I loved your walk to Tesco, so nice & peaceful with just the sound of the birds. They butchered a massive Ash tree outside of mine yesterday which all the birds used to get in & now there's hardly anything left of it & the birds aren't getting in it. Why do they always do these things in nesting season? 😡 I thought my comment hadn't posted but i just realised i'd posted it here 🥴
