- Filming date : January 8th 2025 I spend most of my time every day watching Gentaro. Gentaro is getting much bigger and easier to photograph. Kintaro moves around a lot, so it's hard to film him. Because of Gentaro, I started photographing the Momotaro family.

MOMOTARO & GENKI Family ( Momotaro Fam)
Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

When Gentaro makes that very serious tough looking expression on his face he looks so much like his father Momotaro and when his face is relaxed just enjoying his food he's the spitting image of mother Genki. He's such a beautiful gorilla like both his parents! ❤

I am waiting to see the gorillas in front of the enclosure at this moment.
According to the weather forecast, it will snow in no time .
I can’t put up with this cold weather. 🥶
Possibly one to two doors will be open to evacuate the cold. The family will be able to keep warm.

They must be near the elephant enclosure. So cool to hear them "trumpet". I wonder if they're keeping Gentaro separate to prevent a confrontation with Momotaro?? From the back, it's very hard to tell Gentaro from Momo!! I would love to see a match up between Gentaro and Annie, but I don't want to see Gentaro leave the family. I love watching D'Jeeco and Shabani families, but Momo's is my absolute favorite family.

Hi GL. Ill share with you that i have been recuperating from pneumonia. I was in the hospital 🏥 quite, some time. I agree that for some reason i felt a peace watching only a couple of things. Your channel was one of them. I felt great calm/serenity come over me with MOMOTARO troop.Gentaro and I share same bday. I tried being on your livestreams briefly to say hi. There are but almost all young female gorillas are related on blood lines. Impossible to make a match. Annie is the sole potential partner but it is uncertain whether the match is accomplished or not.
