I was 8 when this came out 😂 I don’t remember hearing this on the radio but i heard it on Spotify recently and it was so weirdly familiar it made me feel nostalgic but I wasn’t sure why lol
They're the reason why you started to listen to punk rock, you mean? The way you phrased it is quite awkward. Also, they're not really punk rock, more like funk pop rock or something.
I'll never forget: my family was at a friend's house and MTV was on. I was 7 and my sister was 9. We weren't allowed tv at home because our mom was super religious. We were mesmerized. This video came on and my mom shrieked that the RHCP were possessed by the devil. She told my sister and I to cover our eyes but it was too late. I had dreams about being in this video and rocking out with the band for months. This was one of the first music videos I'd ever seen and it stayed with me. I've been a fan ever since.
Sorry but your parents shouldn't of had you. Anybody that is that extreme about their religion needs to be chemically castrated. If you're reading this and are that extreme about music you don't like you need to blow your brains out right now.
I went to my local ecig store and we have this joke that every single time I walk in the store that either my all time fav nirvana or smashing pumpkins come on the radio it's seriously every time. Well when I walked in dude said oh of course the pumpkins are playing and I kept saying no dude it's chili peppers all around the world. Well turns out it was cherub rock so my two year streak of walking into the store with nirvana or pumpkins coming on the radio continues and I showed them that they kinda sound similar and that's why I'm here right now lmao
When I was 12 years old (July 2002) I went into a cd store and bought the Californication album and a By The way t-shirt, the band's songs became an integral part of my life....I loved the Californication cd. .... One day a thief broke into my house and stole all my cds and clothes, but I had lent Californication to a friend who later returned it to me, and it is the only one that has survived to this day, just like that cd the band continues great, what is good lasts and resists over the years, congratulations RHCP for the excellence in making art, you made my life better, a Brazilian hug for everyone in the band and everyone who enjoys it ❤️🤟🏽

Saw them live in South Africa in 2013 for the 'I'm with You' album tour ,man it was the best concert ever!
@@anveshshekhar4622 @Elijah
There was a good energy during the show but no thrill or emotion at all. Important to mention the sound quality was dirty (boy, this in unacceptable when you're a band called RHCP !)
3:33 Flea plays this one note accented and it sounds AMAZING
Jackbho I see you on every rhcp video
dun dun dun *DUN* dun
Pause the video and go to 0:19
3:16 This gotta be the best sounding but most simple break ever played.
The last riff is so epic it gets me everytime
I LOVE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
+Lorran Santos Sammee

ohh yes
One of their most energetic and underrated songs. My favorite RHCP song!
Dude, no way to it be underrated. It's a single, one of they most known song and they play it in almost all shows since 99.
***** Hey. It's been awhile. LOL! How have you been?
+UltimateLink30 this probably the same guy that'd say no one knows RHCP.
+UltimateLink30 Underrated!?!?!?? This is like seriously one of the most popular songs ever. I hear it everywhere, I heard it everywhere and I will be hearing it everywhere, its the shit.
This is my favorite also. This is the song that made me notice them back when I was 12yrs old. Of course knew their music before but was too young to care.
DING DONG DING DING DONG DING DONG DING THANG

Alguém em 2025, esse clássico nunca morre.
Someone's in 2025?
This classic never died.
A bunch of wild animals playing really great music.
Piano Around the World yep
Wild animals=better than me
@@matthewellingsen896 Great music
The getaway album cover reference?
Somebody gave these drug users instruments!! ;-)

I remember listening to this when I was a teenager, in the year 1999. How many memories! 🤩
true. good times in '99
Me too, amigo!!!
Gran año, grandes bandas...
I was 8 when this came out 😂 I don’t remember hearing this on the radio but i heard it on Spotify recently and it was so weirdly familiar it made me feel nostalgic but I wasn’t sure why lol
Same here❤
2025年の🇯🇵で聞いています。
あけましておめでとうございます。
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ creativity was sincerely undeniable, they’re the elucidation why I initialized to listen to punk rock
Funk, Gutter. Funk.
@@andrewchase3807 Gutter? LOOOL
They're the reason why you started to listen to punk rock, you mean? The way you phrased it is quite awkward. Also, they're not really punk rock, more like funk pop rock or something.
This song is 22 years old.
Timeless.
La banda con más personalidad de los últimos años. Su lirismo y sonido son inconfundibles.
Lol ?
❤ superstar
Una canción que te llena de energía!!! I love RHCP!!! Thanks for everything!!
I've been a fan ever since.
karmakameleon113 my father had a similar reaction to suck my kiss ;) lol
it's all good now :)
karmakameleon113 my apologies it was give it away 😱
denise s for me it was under the bridge, they thought it was about the devil and shit
Sorry but your parents shouldn't of had you. Anybody that is that extreme about their religion needs to be chemically castrated. If you're reading this and are that extreme about music you don't like you need to blow your brains out right now.
Haha!!! Amazing!!!!
theres yet to be something funkier on this planet than the kick in around 00:25
2:34 damn that hit me emotionally
99 was DEFINITELY Anthony’s prime. The blonde hair, the style, the body! Whewwww 🥵
THAT FUCKING OPENING! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sounds like smashing pumpkins cherub rock I think the song is
+Daniel Malone now that you mention it it kinda does
I went to my local ecig store and we have this joke that every single time I walk in the store that either my all time fav nirvana or smashing pumpkins come on the radio it's seriously every time.
+Daniel Malone maybe it's your own theme song
Bwaaaa yea. I feel like a wrestler when I walk in haha
0:32 Chop Suey style!
Chop suey copied it
I know, i uderstand the reference
I love when it kicks into high gear at the end, I always feel extra hype and jam just like they do in the video! By far my favourite RHCP song!
They hammer, awesome song
Drums: Will Ferrell
Bass: Ninja
Guitar: Jesus Christ
Vocals: Draco Malfoy
Now you have forever printed the image of flea playing fortnite into my brain.
I hope you are happy with your sins.
What?
This had me LMFAO
If they have RHCP in Fortnite. I'm buying those Skins. Fuck rent.
Draco Malfoy isn't the singer, the real Singer Is Brüno
john looks so badass in this video
He does.
When I was 12 years old (July 2002) I went into a cd store and bought the Californication album and a By The way t-shirt, the band's songs became an integral part of my life....I loved the Californication cd. .... One day a thief broke into my house and stole all my cds and clothes, but I had lent Californication to a friend who later returned it to me, and it is the only one that has survived to this day, just like that cd the band continues great, what is good lasts and resists over the years, congratulations RHCP for the excellence in making art, you made my life better, a Brazilian hug for everyone in the band and everyone who enjoys it ❤️🤟🏽
@Donald SAMMY no, but not suffer for It
2:38 this is where the song starts
These guys have the best music in the world! I can listen to it every day 🇺🇸
Yesss.I watched them in Las Vegas 🎉🎉🎉 the last week
Besides Freddie mercury
Ding dang dong dong ding dang dong dong ding dang
Never have more eloquent lyrics been spoken. Love these guys😂
Ding dang ding dong Ning Nong ning nang*
As long as the Chili Peppers are still making music, now is as good a time for music as any. Top shelf.
John's harmonies man.... just divine
Man! That Guitar rift towards the end with the drums is incredible! I’ve always said that I could see that playing in the background during a movie car chase scene. 👍🏻
This song is a timeless classic masterpiece never gets old...!!!!!!!!!!!All the song is great but the bass is so amazing.....!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Verse 1]
All around the world, we could make time
Rompin' and a-stompin' 'cause I'm in my prime
Born in the North and sworn to entertain ya
'Cause I'm down for the state of Pennsylvania
I try not to whine, but I must warn ya
'Bout the motherfuckin' girls from California
Alabama baby said "Hallelujah"
Good God, girl, I wish I knew ya
[Chorus]
I know, I know for sure
That life is beautiful around the world
I know, I know it's you
You say "Hello" and then I say "I do"
[Verse 2]
Come back, baby, 'cause I'd like to say
I've been around the world, back from Bombay
Fox hole love, pie in your face
Living in and out of a big fat suitcase
Bonafide ride, step aside, Mike Johnson
Yes, I could, in the woods of Wisconsin
Wake up the cake, it's a lake she's kissin' me
As they do when they do in Sicily
[Chorus]
I know, I know for sure
That life is beautiful around the world
I know, I know it's you
You say "Hello" and then I say "I do"
[Verse 3]
Where you want to go, who you want to be
What you want to do, just come with me
I saw God and I saw the fountains
You and me, girl, sittin' in the Swiss mountains
Me Oh My O, me and Guy O
Freer than a bird 'cause we're rocking Ohio
Around the world, I feel dutiful
Take a wife 'cause life is beautiful
[Chorus]
I know, I know for sure
Ding, dang, dong, dong, deng, deng, dong, dong, ding, dang
I know, I know it's you
Ding, dang, dong, dong, deng, deng, dong, dong, ding, dang
Mother Russia, do not suffer, I know you're bold enough
I've been around the world and I have seen your love
I know, I know it's you
You say "Hello" and then I say "I do"
[Instrumental Outro]
Thank you for posting the complete lyrics.

It’s crazy back then when John came back and replaced Navarro and this is the first song you hear when you buy the album. Fucking mind blowing the bass lines are insane the guitar is beautiful the vocals are funky and the drums smacking
Well, I'm a "late middle-aged" woman, and these guys ROCK! Way more than Deep Purple :)
