That whole sequence where the two toyotas were scything through the pack is memorable stuff.
Really happy that Alonso (one of my favorite drivers) and Toyota (one of my favorite carmakers) were able to win Le Mans together!

Azt lehet vitatni, hogy nem volt érdemi ellenfél, de erről a Toyota nem tehetett. Most akkor szálltak volna ki ők is? Miért ne lehetne élni ilyen helyzettel? A Porschénak 81-87 között se volt érdemi kihívója, akkor ők is szánalmasok? Ebben semmi szánalmas nem volt.

Love how they only show who won LMP1 and not any of the other classes. I guess the only one that matters is that one...

Erik Scherer What makes it even worse is that the LMP1 this year was insanely dull. Don't get me wrong it's still hard to finish Le Mans, but they we're flat out seconds faster than any other LMP1 car. So from the get go we knew if they didn't crash or break down they'd win. GTE was exciting as hell as per usual, but shown the least.
3:50 damn that outside pass, great car control that skid could've been dangerous
All wheel drive and TC definitely helped, but still, very impressive.

Toyota finally got rid of its Le Mans curse.
well last year Toyota had Porsche's number, until literally the final 2 corners when a $10 dollar rubber part broke disrupting their turbos I believe. So to elude that Toyota only won this year because Audi and Porsche didn't participate a little bit of a smack of denigration to the brilliant team including engineers and drivers at Toyota that have been working hard over the evolution of their race car. But perhaps Porsche took their gifted win last year and kept quite this year?

Chau Nguyen When Toyota was the only one in the race, one SHOULD NOT CALL THAT A WiN. We can only call it finished the 24 hours driving, since there was no pressure， even you can finish that drive。

@@MajloT like it or not Toyota always had a better car. They just didn't have that reliability sorted. Now that they have proved it twice I bet even when Porsche comes back they will still beat them and 2016 and 2017 should be enough to give you proof that if we exclude reliability, the Toyota is just a better car.

Without any competitor, that's not a big achievement. Le Mans is now as boring as it was from 2000 to 2006 when there was no competitor for Audi.
And now, without Ford, BMW and Corvette.

no ! It's not racing if someone purposely takes you out. That's being a bully & asshole. If the other driver would behave in same manner, it could have very unfavorable outcome for both teams. He should have been penalised for it.
Relax guys... he didn't put him off. They both went on with the race. They didn't even touch. Racing is made also of intimidation.
He started cutting infront of the ford before completely passing him... Doesn't matter how you look at it the porsche was clearly in the wrong

Toyota's curse was finally lifted.... they deserved that win because last year they came so close to winning it but the car stalled within the final 2 minutes... that was hard luck

My first time going to Le Mans for the race. No competition for Toyota? Except for potential punctures, breakdowns, any team driver errors, any other untimely driver errors or pit crew errors for 24 hours straight! Yup, piece of cake ! Will be going every year from now on I hope. More LMP1 teams would just be a bonus. Love the LMP 2 and GTE cars racing on the same circuit at the same time, awesome! Makes F1 seem a little sterile ?

I love the sound to, but if there are no LPM1 cars anymore, than there is also no sound. There is a big conflict in what the brands are intereseted to invest in. Look at the Formula-E. Where ist all the money from the manufacures going? Into the F-E. F1 is dying, LMP1 is dying, WRC is dying. This is really huge, what happens in the motorsportsworld today.

Do the driver changes every 8 hour or are there any regulations to regulate this ?
I don't follow endurance racing, but they change at about 2-3 hours, and I believe there are rules for driving time.
8 hours I think is far too long, as you need the break even to eat some food to keep your energy up.
I did see some driver changes at 90 minutes.
The rule is any one driver cannot exceed 4 hours of in the car within 6 hours of the race, but beyond that there aren't many rules for how long the driver can be in the car.

Hate to say this, but it feels like an empty win for Toyota. WEC should change things around and make it more cost effective for LMP1 teams. A Toyota, Porsche, and Audi battle would be epic!
