one year ages ago I tried making this peeps marshmallow s’more pie that I saw on buzzfeed food(!!) and it was a real disaster, the peeps looked intact but creepily melted instead of extra puffy like the tutorial showed it, the memory of it haunts me hahah😂

One year, when our boys were little, we tried cooking Peeps in the microwave just to see what happened to them. The boys loved it because they got really gross. They are in their 30's now but we still do "Nuking of the Peeps" every Easter. LOL

Love your package unraveling..very exciting...and good reviews on products too. 📦
You could make a low lying pot plant in the garden of "Dandelions" for Phineas to graze on at home. When you are walking with him outside, train him by saying "LEAVE IT" and keep on walking and reward him by saying "GOOD BOY" and eventually he will stop.

I also use brushes when destroying spider mites and the solution I use on them kills them so when I use the brush it's drenched with it so I'm sure they are dead before the brush even touches them. I rinse it with as hot of water as I can get when finished

Interesting to see so many plant products. I always buy metal watering cans. I try to find ones that have long necks that hold alot of water. I have one for each room of my house that have plants in them. I have been considering getting the spray type container but can't justify replacing all my cans yet.

The white watering can looks very cool. I'm definitely going to look into that one because like you said on the other one all of mine have holes at the top that the water spills out of because the spout is too small to release enough water before I dump it all out everywhere. .That fungus gnat story rang so close to heart because same! I have plants in my home office and I have fungus gnats in my home office. I have been swatting on camera to a extent that I would rather not talk about lol..😂 Kimwipes are common in my world too.. Because I worked in a compounding lab / clean room for 10 years and they have stayed with me the 5-years since I've stopped that career. I need that huge barber brush! (Just for dusting..not pest treatment )..I've been using a regular paint brush but it is definitely a little bit too stiff even the softest ones I can find ... Okay well there goes that week's paycheck...goes to Amazon...😅 Thanks for these tips/items.! Great video.. I definitely enjoyed!

I have come up with the ugliest watering setup for myself. The opposite of aesthetic, lol. But since I’m limited in faucets and get exhausted repeatedly refilling the can, I bought one of those electric sprayers with the long hose, a 5 gallon water storage container, a rolling plant stand that I replaced the wheels with roller blade wheels, and rope for a handle to drag. It’s ugly as sin and a bit unwieldy when full, but now I only have to refill it twice on watering day and all my plants get a drink.

Love seeing plant product videos! I also passed up the Florida Beauty (already own two) but couldn’t stop thinking about them! Problem was that we forgot where we saw them! Went to Lowe’s, Walmart, Home Depot, and Ralph’s but couldn’t find them so we assumed they were sold. Slept on it another night but still not satisfied so we made the rounds again. Turned out it was a display inside Home Depot that was behind some huge palms that we overlooked! Bought the two that were left. Patience and perseverance pays off for plant obsessed collectors!

My friend got me a cat watering can last year for my birthday. It is black and plastic, was $20 but honestly it’s my best waterer! It pours in a way that doesn’t spill water or rush out too much. It was from a gift garden center.

If you want a fancy watering can I can recommend Arne Jacobsen (danish arcitect). You will not spill a drop of water, it’s really good and in my opinion the most beautiful AND worth the price (if you only need one). I would think you can buy it for about $100? I bought mine (in Denmark) for $72 on sale.

GM GM from MD😊! Terrific video. You have so many goodies👍. Loved the water containers, especially the green. I thought the white one doesn't look like a watering can at all but as long as it does the trick 👍 again. Cheers to the rugs. Very nice. Can't blame you for getting more. They're lovely against your plants and your home as well.
Everyday is a plant day for me, sometimes the evening too. I'm on week 2 of generously misting my fern and he loves it. He, because he's given new meaning to thorn in my side. I've heard so much against misting, however, the leaves aren't dropping and fern isn't heading to plant heaven anymore i e. trash can.
Glad you overcame your slump and did the video. Those brushes are cool ideas. Happy belated Easter. Take care.

@@reallybigplant Hahaha~ “Banned myself from collecting more”. I’m the same with empty plastic containers. I’ve been holding onto empty vitamin containers, kimchi tubs, yogurt and apple sauce containers and Ive forced myself to stop. Lids of things as well I like to use as saucers or to stick inside catch pots to prop up the plant a bit but it has piled up and I’ve told myself.. “Youve gotta stop, girl. Just stick it in the bin. 🥲”. Have a lovely day as well! 💚

If you kill the spider mites by applying a soapy mild alcohol solution and brushing that into leaf surfaces with the makeup brushes, wouldn't the spider mites die right there in the moment and not continue to live in the brush?? You have to talk about this if that is not the case. I use an extra makeup brush that way too.
I need multiple watering cans too, but mainly because I make several watering solutions for different needs. I water my seedlings with one, water soil plants with one and water semihydro plants with one... I recently started taking watering seriously and I'm mixing really good solutions with the right npk's and micronutrients and also test the water pH and add fish tank water treatment (Tetra AquaSafe) to get rid of chlorine and such that are present in tap water. This has made watering procedure very tiring but with semihydro these things matter and I would assume many plants in soil too will benefit from right pH and AquaSafe. Tap water is quite far from the ideal pH that plants want!

Happy Easter 🐣 I'm sure you have thought about this but what about a paint brush?

    • @reallybigplant
      @reallybigplant  4 місяці тому +2

I used to use soft paintbrushes but I feel like it’s just safer and softer for the plant leaves to use the cosmetic brushes, but a thicker bristle brush would definitely be easier to clean. Also the weird barber brush thing I talked about was kinda like me just rambling about whatever haha, they’re only banned because of potential health issues for humans…which idk if that’s super relevant to the spider mite thing, I was just surprised to find out they were banned at all lol. I watched this again just now and was like….what is she talking about haha 😅
Anyways thanks so much for watching Jessica, I hope you’re having a wonderful Easter 😊💜🌿🤗💝

Great question thanks for asking! 😊💭💜 Short answer: DE is probably not gonna work as the only treatment against mites but can still help create an environment that makes it harder for them to live and move around on the plants. So it’s not totally useless but in most cases won’t be enough alone
