Quick update as to where I am in the restoration process of my 1968 Mustang Convertible. Alarm system, power door locks and electric window power connections
Nice update. What alarm system are you using? Also I find putting the vent window in last make the large glass and regulators go in easier. FWIW. Drive On.
unfortunately the alarm I purchased a year ago on amazon is no longer available but if you search for "car alarm door locks" there are a bunch with new names that look just like mine. specifically " "machswon" has same actuators and connections. I had put the vent window in drivers side already but will give your suggestion a try on passenger side and compare the two. thank you
Wally just some clarification, I may have missed it but do the doors only auto lock if the security system is armed? They don't just always lock do they?
They autolock when I turn on the ignition and unlock when I turn off the ignition. they also lock or unlock when I use the remote to engage or disengage the alarm. Finally, if I unlock the car but do not open either door in 30 seconds the alarm relocks and rearms the alarm.
Looking good Wally. Love the car alarm.
thank you, really want to travel with the car and will make me feel better sitting in a hotel parking lot with an alarm system and hood locks
Great job Wally. I defiantly need the alarm on mine. Merry Christmas!
It's coming together nice, good job!
