Gotta be the best turkey hunt on UA-cam this spring, congrats on y’all’s birds! Gotta say thanks to you Dave for getting me into traveling and turkey hunting. I traveled out West this year and put a whooping on my first Merriam’s. Man I love it!
Every one he puts out is the best. He don't complain. He just scouts and hunts the turkeys he finds. Good guys that display real sportsmanship and the ups and downs of the game. That is why I like this group they show you how it actually is.
Holy coooooow. Now that's what I call putting the flop to um. Awesome hunt and congratulations to the gentleman on his first 🦃. Can't wait to see more videos.
I haven’t watched this video …. Where as I watch them as u put them out , I’ve been a little depressed since my season ended. I was missing out that was outstanding.
It's about dang time you posted. Come on Dave you got to get the vids out daily.Lol just joking appreciate the vids Congratulations on them fine byrds. And thank ya Chubbs. Got to have ol Chubbs in the vids.Hes just one of them good ol boys!!!
Just got back from hunting till noon. Probably could have killed 3 jakes with one shot for the second day this season. Only seen two shooters so far. One in the bag. GREAT VID!!! Keeps the blood pumpin' to set the alarm clock.
Dave, first I would like to say that without a doubt you put up the very best turkey hunting videos out there. I have been watching them since the beginning of the Pinhoti project and have enjoyed them very much. You hunt turkeys the right way, i.e. no decoys, no jakes, no blinds, no long shots, etc. and hopefully others will follow your lead. Thanks for carrying that torch. Having said that, I have to take issue with this video (I thought a long time about commenting on it and this is the first of your videos I have commented on). I know by you actions that you love and respect wild turkeys but those actions ring a little hollow after watching this type video. I would argue that killing one of these gobblers would have made for a very exciting hunting but killing all three went a little far in my book. Turkey populations are down everywhere and it is time we has hunters start to show some restraint Harvest pressure, especially on public land is being shown to have impacts to reproduction. Reproduction has been in the tank for several years now, not just because of harvest, there are a lot of factors involved. We need to be doing all we can to improve this situation, like habitat management, predator control, etc. Killing the entire group of gobblers is not the message we need to be sending. I know this sounds like the dirty old man yelling at the kids to get off my lawn but that is not the intend. I have turkey hunted for about 50 years, and hope to continue to do so. I have seen the sport of turkey hunting change drastically, especially in the last 20 years, and the changes are troubling. I could go on but I think you get my drift. I love turkeys and turkey hunting just like you and many of your followers. Hopefully the sport will be around for our grandkids to enjoy. Again Dave, thanks for your efforts to show how turkeys should be hunted, just keep in mind that to have turkey hunted we need to kill a turkey, we just don't need to kill them all. Thanks for your time. Joe McGlincy
Thanks for watching Joe. Just an FYI, this wasn't public land (not that it should matter I suppose) and it wouldn't have taken place had we not been confident in this property's turkey population density. You will see in the next episode when several gobblers are singing from the same tract. I know there is no way to illustrate this through the episode for viewers to understand. Another FYI, I voted in favor of 1 a day gobbler limit and even the 1 gobbler the first 10 days in several situations. I'm not for flock shooting in the sense that a guy shoots multiple turkeys, but do like for everyone to get a gobbler. In this unique situation, that was an extra, "gobblerless" guy that turned a double into a triple. I say all this to say, I understand your stance.
@@pinhotiproject Thanks for your reply Dave and as always, I look forward to the next episode. FYI, I also was in favor of the changes made this year in Georgia, i.e. reduced limit, later opener, 1 bird per day, etc. Hopefully it will made some difference. Keep up the good work!!
4 in a day is a good accomplishment. The majority of MS, compared to the rest of the US, does have a minute amount of turkeys. Of course if you hunt good habitat or an area with a previously good hatch the odds are in your favor. Just because you see one video of a quad harvest doesn’t mean the whole state is covered lol I’ve seen a decent amount this year hunting the same places for the last few years but in comparison to the previous years I’ve seen less. With that being said I know some people 30 mins from me who have a zoo of turkeys on non managed private land. Location location location
If you have never hunted our fine state you have no idea how tough 4 in a day is. Great job and congratulations.!

Have you ever hunted south of hwy 84 in Mississippi on public land?
I’d have to look at a map. Probably.
A lot of smaller gobblers in that area sure appreciate y'all. Until next year anyway. lol
Benelli click?
Unreal👊🏻
Stack'em up like cord wood.
Holy crap wow
That looks just like Homochitto National
That’s private ground.
@@pinhotiproject Cool ...you ever near Copiah County Game Management, give a shout, I got private land that borders all that..glad to go
"Kandy with a K"
Damn!
Someone is trying to scam us saying we was a winner but it’s not it said I won a rx7 bow but wanted me too pay shipping?
I hope the guy propping on his shotgun barrel doesn't have it chambered.
I. Have. Seen that. Before 6 Died at one time it’s fun good. Hunt
But But there’s no birds in Mississippi 🙃😂

I assure you hunts like that are very rare in MS on public ground. They were very fortunate and they know it.
@@dublelung1 i dont think that was public ground...the reason they are thanking the dude is because they just put a hurtin on his turkey population
