    Been watching for years now and still by far the best! Can’t wait till I run across you in the turkeys woods so we can shake hands and have a sit down to talk about our hunts. Don’t smoke cigars, but exceptions can be made. Thanks for the hunts.

    Love it! Always carry a backup light for that cigar brother. I smoke a cigar watching your videos. My season was super limited due my dads illness but managed one. I’ve been hunting turkeys 38 years and learn lots of new stuff from you thanks Dave

    Awesome job Dave 👍. Love your persistence and watching your journey and Pinhoti project. Hey sometime you just gotta get that day off especially as hard as go. Your compassion for the challenge and hunt is nothing short of inspirational my friend. Hopefully some day we can meet and just shake hands. Maybe you and my son in-law Simon Ellis can make it happen 👍 LOL. Safe travels good luck and God speed 🙏

    Hey Dave, we had some tornado type weather here Saturday for the first time really ever. Do you find this type of weather (high wind and fallen trees) affect turkeys behavior? Would they be pushed to other areas or do they typically hunker down and ride it out? Cheers, Mike

    • @pinhotiproject
      @pinhotiproject  2 роки тому +2

      Riding it out is life for them, they don' t have many other options. I would look for them low if they were dealing with high winds.

    That interview didn’t sound silly, greedy, or anything bad at all. There are 3 people on this planet that I like to hunt with. One is myself. The other 2 are people and I don’t even have to talk about anything when we sit down to one. They know me, and I know them. But I have to have one by myself. So, I get that 100%.

    Imagine if you had a bow! How much closer and even more intense! I understand your position on bow vs shotgun, but they twitch just as long with either weapon if you shoot clean. I'll never fault a person's preference for how they harvest any living thing as long as it's as ethical as it can be. When you have to draw a bow at 10, blind or not, it's so much different. They behave so much different at 10 than what they do at +20yds. So fun chasing danglers!

    Guys and gals beware,there's there's guy pretending to be Dave Owen's saying you've won a Hoyt bow package but you have to pay $150 to have it shipped to you. I'm cool with that but when I told him I was gonna have to verify that he was Dave Owen's and he said his personality wouldn't allow it.WTH? I had my suspicions by the way he said certain things,words used in a way that Americans don't use them. Maybe the real Dave will catch him and be able to do something about him. I think Dave lives in TN but the area code the guy used was from New Jersy or something like that. Be careful and suspect of anyone trying to give you something that's gonna cost you right out of the box.

    "I needed that". For youtube maybe. Not like you've never killed a turkey before.

    • @pinhotiproject
      @pinhotiproject  2 роки тому

      I needed that for my thirst I would assume every turkey hunter has during the Spring. And a here's a nugget for ya- that gobbler would have died the same death, camera or not. I can promise you my reason for being out there has nothing to do with UA-cam. It was happening before and it'll happen far after. The camera/ UA-cam part is for folks like yourself to enjoy. You're welcome. ;)

      No. No I do not. I hope our savior can see past "crap," I'm a sinner. End of Story. I do see something wrong with casting judgement upon others, maybe you should?

    • @laneguice5399
      @laneguice5399 Рік тому

      Religion will tell you that it's wrong and unnecessary but thank God for delivering us out of religious and traditional thinking so that we can have a RELATIONSHIP with HIM. Religion says a lot of petty things are wrong but my relationship, sonship, and friendship tells me Jesus has a personality and He probably enjoyed that as much as Dave did. Jesus is just fine with "crap". I thank God for all kinds of crap in my life.
