The care taken to restore the clock hand was so heart warming. Love to see old relics restored to glory. Beautiful work.
The shape of the clock hand reminds me of a peacock father.
I’m so pleased you posted the memorial to our Queen at the end. My heart has been very heavy since I learned of her passing. I was also thrilled the clock hand retained all its hand-stamped decoration despite the heat. Somehow I thought it would melt away.
Thank you for that beautiful tribute to Queen Elizabeth. I’m from the US but have good friends from England and I love the UK. Your video presentation was just beautiful! I cried like a baby. ❣️
Amen to that, love from New England.....aka Avaloch93
I hope you find another clock hand some day. Maybe even the mate to this one.
I loved the rainbow 🌈 at the loss of the Queen. She reminds me of my grandmother. Thinking of everyone at this time of loss.
What a wonderful mudlark - and it looked like an absolutely gorgeous day! ☀️ Sending condolences for the loss of your wonderful Queen. What an example she set for people around the world. There will never be another like her. ❤
" You both are so talented , a wonderful mother daughter venture . The tribute at the end of this video is very touching . I wish to add my sympathy to you all for your loss . Hugs from Kentucky 🙏❤🇺🇸"
Sending sincere condolences from the United States on the loss of your beloved Queen Elizabeth II. 💔👸 💔💙🖤❤🖤🤍 She will be sorely missed around the world. She gave the last full measure of devotion to her country up 'til the very end. We are deeply saddened by her passing.
Alex the clock hand is a great find and you did an amazing job on its restoration. We certainly missed Cecilia today.
That was a wonderful day! Great finds. And my heart goes out to you all today, remembering The Queen.
God Bless the Queen, Long Live the King. God, she loved Scotland!
That’s a Diddl Mouse. I got hundreds of it in the 90s 😁
Diddl was such a hype here too 😁
My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all United Kingdom and Commonwealth citizens. Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth, and Thank you! God save the King.
I understand your sentiment but I can’t mourn for colonizers or protectors of pedophiles.
That little mouse figurine looks a lot like Diddl, a character that was very popular here in Norway in my childhood, in the late 90's/early 2000's. We had all kinds of stationery items with him and his girlfriend, Diddlina, on.
While I'm allready commenting (it's my first time ever 😆), I want to thank you for making amazing videos 😊
German cartoon they say, looks like it!
It's definitely Diddl. I stil have loads of stuff from him from when I was a teenager.
Yes thats Diddl the mouse
Yes it is a diddle mouse
From the heart of America, my heart goes out to you and your Country in the loss of your Queen.
You all certainly had a wonderful day and the clock hand is beautiful. Thank you Gail and Alex. Forever our Queen Elizabeth x
here in the states we are at half staff in her honor
Godbless the queen, may she rest in peace 🙏🏻
She once stated when she meets our lord she will trade her crown for his of thorns😇
Here from Tennessee in the USA we send our prayers and love to everyone as they mourn the loss of their Queen may she rest in heaven and in peace
Such wonderful finds! I wish to extend to Al of you my appreciation for the life of a monarch lived to perfection. Although she had served for such a long time, she will be sorely missed, not just by your commonwealth, but by the entire world
I am so sorry for your loss....I've been tearful the past two days and this bit of joy watching you guys has helped.
How very sweet that clock hand is, and how dear of you to use your time and skill to bring it back to its beauty. Sharing it with youor public is another virtue you have brought to our times. Attention to detail is sadly lacking in many modern products. Thank you for bringing that fact to the fore.
She sent us a rainbow to tell us she had arrived safely. 🌈
Thanks for another great video and for the exquisite pictures of beautiful Queen ELIZABETH II. She is and always will be missed. 🥺
Brilliant restoration of the clock hand!
My condolences for the loss of your Queen,
"The Parting Glass" was a lovely homage.
The clock hand is exquisite, so much detail. Florie's little pot is adorable!
Beautiful tribute to the Queen.
The care you put into the clock hand was amazing.
Fantasic finds. I love the red garnet bead as well as the clock hand..
Deeply Saddened with the Queens death.
As a child I was blessed with the Queen speaking to myself, my brother & neighbour when she opened a new building at Lincoln College out side of Christchurch in New Zealand.
Us children were in ore, all we could do was nod our heads. A wonderful memory to treasure. RIP Our Beautiful Queen
God save the King.
I so love her meeting Paddington Bear at the Palace, so many beautiful memories.
The rainbow said it all 💜 The Queen is with her beloved Phillip now. 🌈
Well, between the 3 of you, you did find a rainbow 🌈 of beads…so amazing! And, you brought the clock-hand back to shiny, detailed life, Alex! Patiently done!
A lovely tribute to Queen Elizabeth II…it was nice to see pictures of Her Majesty that I have not seen previously.
Thanks for the fun. I love the clock dial hand, it's so pretty. And, I dearly love that tiny marmalade jar. Nice finds. That was a really nice tribute at the end. I think it can easily be said that there won't be another like her.
You are so awesome finding treasures as well as poetic and immersed in the historical-finds-of-time. I absolutely love your music choices !, so peaceful and free.
Oh, I am tearing up, from your beautiful tribute. We won’t see any better in our lifetime.
Am I the only one who held her breath the entire time she was flattening and straightening the clock hand? Phew!!! Awesome day 'larking!
Condolences on the passing of the queen. Loved the tribute at the end. ❤
Thank you again for a fantastic video. As usual incredible finds and fantastic photography. It was nice meeting Florrie and seeing her finds.....
I have deliberately waited to send this comment, the loss of Her Gracious Majesty was a shock. May she Rest in Eternal Peace. Thank you for the beautiful tribute to Her Majesty. My sincere sympathies to all who loved her. Avaloch93
Nice to see Florrie finding treasures with you. Clock hand interlude was perfect timing. Condolences on the loss of your beloved Queen.
More amazing finds! You are so clever to recognize so many materials! Sympathies for the loss of your remarkable Queen. The end of one era and, hopefully, the beginning of a bright sustainable one with your new king.
I am so sorry for the loss of your Queen. Your choice of music is incredible. Keep up the good work.
That clock hand was amazing! You all are in my prayers during this difficult time. Queen Elizabeth was an amazing woman!
Wonderful mudlark as always…..sending condolences from Canada for the Queen 🫅 she was a wonderful lady!

Amazing fun hunting for treasures!
Alex, magnificent job on the delicate clock hand. It turned out brilliant. Great job.
Truly a lovely tribute for Queen Elizabeth II. I'm so sorry for you and the people of Great Britain 🇬🇧
Definitely in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
Oh dear! That brief tribute to Queen Elizabeth took me by surprise! Tearing up again. The greatest of public servants and we'll be hard pressed to see her like again. The Greatest Generation passes and so few are left. That smile will be missed.
Taht was a good day out with Flo and some really interesting finds that Alex had. Just love the clock hand, and the way Alex so patiently straightened it out. Wonderful. Our lovely Queen at the end was a nice surprise. Thank you girls.
Great brilliant finds! The hand from the clock is beautiful and I loved that you were able to fix it! Beautiful tribute to the queen as well! ❤️ may she RIP
Lovely day-the clock hand is wonderful and beautifully restored. Lots of lovely beads too-especially the cornerless cubes. And....your tribute to the Queen was touching. The parting glass is always poignant.
Lovely little tribute to our Queen.
Great skills in bringing that delicate clock hand back to life. Best find of a lovely day out. Nice to see Florrie join you again at the location with best bridge in the world as your backdrop. Excellent tribute to the Queen, well done.
Okay, I want your playlist of musical pieces!!! Perfect!!! And what you did, Alex, with the clock hand, was just wonderful!! You tribute at the end was lovely. 😥
What a lovely day and thank you for your homage to Hr Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It was nice seeing how you reformed the clock hand and polished the other brass objects. Bye from Ontario Canada.
And, thank you for such a lovely tribute to your queen. I have felt the sadness here in America.
Love all the beads thank you ladies xx bless our beautiful queen xxx
Excellent finds and wonderful video as usual ladies. Beautiful montage of the Queen. Not just Englands lost but the world as well.
Fantastic Job Alex restoring that clock hand. You did great. Congratulations on the find. Your friend, Steve Bonds from Bay City, Michigan USA.

Beautiful finish to your video. Like many, many other people, here in the United Kingdom and around the world we will mourn Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, truly a treasure beyond words is lost to us. God save his Majesty Charles III, our King.
That clock hand is stunning, and the beads were so pretty. Please accept my condolences on the passing of the Queen. May she rest in peace. Love from the US
You did such a good job restoring the clock hand. Your description of it has me in tears! Very poetic.
I love when you find old pieces, fix and clean them and reuse them for jewelry or something else. I guess they called it upcycling? I love it❤️
the clock hand is the most beautiful find yet. You are so patient and talented to bring it back to its glory.
I'm so happy you fixed up the old clock hand. So much talent!
So sorry to hear about the Queen Elizabeth, she was a amazing Queen, congratulations on your new King. Great video ladys.
I've been following Flo for awhile now. Love you ladies. God Bless 🤗😘💖🙏🙏
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found Some Amazing Finds Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
Dear friends- I was just in Edinburgh and drove over those bridges. I tried to find a beach to mudlark on and went to one where there had been old pottery kilns but did not find much. I had a prompting for several weeks to get in touch with you but decided not to. If I ever get back your way I will go to the beach that you just showed us where there were so many wonderful treasures. I have enjoyed your Vlog since the very beginning. Thank you so much for sharing with us your lovely lives and outings.
Another really good one. Again, even your choice of music is a pleasure. Thank you all.
That clock hand is stunning! What an amazing video of its restoration!!!! Thanks for showing us all!
So happy to wake up early and watch your new adventure with my morning coffee! Fun to have Florrie along. Nice fines. The clock hand was a sweet surprise. Cleaned up so nice!
What a perfect days larking you had ladies. The finds were lovely especially that exquisite clock hand. I loved that very much. The work that went into making it was beautiful.
Well done indeed Alex in managing to untangle and straighten that beauty. It looked lovely when polished. You could see all the patterns so clearly.
The strings of beads you must have now, must be growing quite well.
Loved the sentiment you added to the precious Niger brother's bead that Gail found. Such a sad loss, as they were so talented with their designs and unusual jewelry.
That clock hand is a real prize. Well done on your reshaping, Alex!
The little mouse you found is a "Diddl Maus"😄 here in Germany we used to collect these in the 90s😊 i still have a huge collection of stationary and figurines at home😄 who knows what a journey this little mouse has made🤭
The clock hand would make the most beautiful large pendant set with an aqua glass in the round part and hung from a long chain. The shaft part which protrudes from the round top could be made into a little pinky ring. Love your adventures! Thank you. ❤
Windy, lol, but what a great day you all had! Love your garnet bead best, the jelly nob & clock hand made this a hard decision.
Beautiful work on the clock handle and lovely tribute to the Queen who lives on in your heart and ours across the pond.
I recognized Diddl instantly as well. I live in Canada and had a German pen -pal as a teen in the '90s who used Diddl stationary, and sent me items featuring this adorable German cartoon character. You had so many wonderful finds this video!
It’s a BEAD DAY❗️
Great finds ladies and the amazing clock hand.
I saw Flo and looked for Cecilia but not there. I just adore her, plus we share the same name. 💙
Thank you for sharing your day out.
R.I.P. HRH Queen Elizabeth 🌹
Gail, both your, Alex and Florrie's treasures with all their character and history, were wonderful in my eyes, special favorites were Alex's Edwardian clock hand, Gail's nickel silver spoon and Florrie's miniscule jam jar. Perhaps on your Northern Mudlarks Make channel, you can take your well-worn spoon, restore to a shine and fill in the negative space of the bowl, with clear resin. It would give it strength and be a unique way of displaying it. Don't you think?
The little Mouse you found is a Diddl mouse. It was really famous in Germany when I was in Elementary school (90s). We were trading and collecting everything with Diddl. Pencils, rulers, plushies, coin banks, pencil cases - you could buy everything. If a paper block was gifted, you ripped some pages Off to put in your collection. Single Paper Block Pages were Stored in a Binder - sorted by motiv. The more different motivs you had, the better. I still have my collection somewhere as it is not of big value nowadays anymore, but it is a nice memory. Regards Stephanie
What beautiful finds today.I think it was bead and brass day ..The clock hand was exceptional. It must have been on an expensive clock too , it was really decorative. There was quite a few nice pieces of brass to you found as well ,and your Mum..Your friend today was lovely. How amazing she did finding all those blue beads.Your usually the bead Queen Alex lol..Love n Light 🥰

Thank you so much for the beautiful tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth 😥💗 x
Beautiful and very special finds. I absolutely love that clock hand! Condolences for the loss of your Queen. She was a very inspiring woman of honor and duty, and the very embodiment of the word regal.
So lovely to see you turn yesterdays "garbage" into today's treasure.
Lots of lovely beads again and the clock hand Gail restored is lovely. Amazing finding amber on the shore, that is something I would love to find. Thank you and have a good weekend
Hello Beauties, Oh what a lovely lark with Floie (excuse the spelling). For future reference I'll refer to her as Flo. Marbles, beads and to wind things down with an alley gobb. So nice of you to have another friend on a fine Mudlarking adventure. Alex your clock hand is really fantastic. You straightened it out perfectly. So many new treasures, even a headless Frozen Charlotte. Congratulations on all the beautiful finds of the day. Greetings from North Carolina U.S.A.
Love the closing tribute to Her.
Love watching things fixed and repurposed!
Diddl is a German comic strip created by German artist Thomas Goletz in 1990. The first sketch of Diddl was made on 24 August 1990. Diddl is a white Jumping Mouse, with big ears and large pink-soled feet allowing him to jump large distances. Diddl and his friends are featured on various sorts of products such as stationery and collectibles, and also in a range of plush dolls and toys manufactured by Depesche.
Watching the repairing of the clock hand was fascinating.
I'm so sorry for the loss of the Queen Mother. There will >Never< be another like her! Thank-you for the tribute at the end.
Absolutely a fun day with a great variety of treasures!
So sorry about the loss of your wonderful Queen... may God bless u all..
The mouse pencil bit is a "Diddl." 😊 The character was a popular 1990 German comic strip, which also had a huge range of merchandise. It was very popular with kids in both Germany and here in Denmark, and probably the rest of Scandinavia. I remember some classmates having teddies, bed sheets, pillows, posters, pencilcases, school bags, pencils, erasers, lunch boxes, etc, even clothes. -Basically anything you can imagine school kids to have, Diddl would've made it all. 😊
Such a wonderful video… it’s always so nice to see @flofinds on people’s videos.
So many beads and that AMAZING clock hand! What an amazing find. X
Sorry for the loss of The Queen my thoughts are with all the people of Great Britain and of the world. Great video as usual thank you for your hard work and joy you bring to so many of us!
