I picked up a new Morkie puppy for my sister and brought her home from Texas to California. The puppy did outstanding she didn’t get sick . I had bought a mesh carrier and put her in that then 2 days later I bought her a small transporter crate and a mat for it. She absolutely loved it❤when we were driving for a while then I would take her out hold her massage her talk to her and then when we stopped to put gas I would take her in the trailer put out a pee pad and just hold her there in a sitting position she would go but I had to watch her the first night she cried she missed her siblings then I took her into my arms and rubbed her and just gave her lots of love and cuddles then as we were traveling into day 5 she was already going pee and poop on the pad let her eat play with her let her run around inside the RV then once we bought her the transport crate she would literally get in and just sleep finally when we made it home I called my sister that her baby was coming home she was waiting and when I gave her the puppy the puppy loved her immediately and wagged her tail and as I was explaining to my sister about the food and time of feeding etc I put a puppy pad and tapped on it the puppy got on it and went pee so she learned super quick and never got sick once and the breeder did give me a small blanket and she loved it. Once she was home my sister washed it because it smelled. I also would wipe her everytime she went number one or two so she would not smell she got use to her daily massage 3 times a day ❤️
Hi i really enjoyed your tips , i myself have a 2 month old female thats looks likes your i want to know how you teached her to use litter and when because mine dose her business whenever she wants , please do help
I didn’t teach Millie to use any puppy pads, I just used outside. All training is about being consistent. So from the day she came home, I took her out every hour to the toilet. Over time I noticed the signs that she needed to go, and she started to bark at the door if she needed to go outside. When she did go to the toilet outside I would cheer and praise her so she knew what she was doing, was good. By doing this she was potty trained by 12/13 weeks. There has been the odd accident since but they’ve all been because she was too excited.
@@MillieaCockapoo thank you for the advise , although mine is 2 month old and just getting vacinatio .how old were your puppy when you brought her home
We are collecting our cockapoo pup together on a Friday babur I will need to leave on the Sunday and I'll not be hoke until the following Friday will that affect the pup having both of us initially then just one of us for a few days?
Think the blanket and mom depends on how long pup has been weaned from mom. The longer it has been the more likely the pup will smeel her at night and look for her aka whinning and acting up
I sent my breeder a toy that my dog palyed with in his last life. This way he will remember his past life as soon as he smells my family members. Yes................. back again.
I think a crate is good for the first drive home, but I think that you should still check on the dog often. I would take the dog to the bathroom about 3 times or every few service stations you go past on your way home if you are on the motorway. I hope that helps you!!
@Frank N Dice sorry I didn’t come across this before you went to pick her up. I guess some dogs don’t want to go to the bathroom during car rides!!??? My dog also gets car sick and it is not pleasant. Now we have him we give him medicine before and long car journeys. I hope you dog is settling in well😃
Picking up my first ever puppy and dog on Monday.. shes a 14wk cavalier king charles spaniel. I'm so excited!

She was 9 weeks old and had only had her first injections. I’ve got a garden which no other dogs have access to, so she was able to go out there
@@MillieaCockapoo oh and what you use against insects in furr so it wont hurt her?
She’d been flea’d and wormed at 7 weeks by the breeder when she had her first injections.

Do you recommend a crate for a 3 1/2 hour drive? How often do I take her out to go to the bathroom?
