I know a mind mapping tool that I really love using. It is GitMind. it was introduced to me by my friend when i need an online diagram maker for my class. Its really helpful and easy to use. What's more is that it is totally free so everyone can enjoy making a diagram.

About 20 years ago, Inspiration was my favorite mind mapping application, but the Inspiration Software, Inc. discontinued Japanese supporting.
Now I use and recommend Simplemind because of its multi OS platforms, languages, and cloud drives supporting stance.

I like SCAPPLE which is not free but very inexpensive. It lets you move things anywhere, it does not auto-arrange, which I kind of like. I think it comes in either Windows or Apple PC version, I don't think it has a web version.

I'm the kind of person who has a lot of thoughts that need to be organized and have found Ryeboard most helpful for me.
    - I can write out my thoughts and map them with documents much easier
    - I felt other tools were too constraining
    Hope this helps!

Is there a mind mapping tool where I can link calendar events directly to the nodes? Some tools (e.g. MindMeister) allow to create tasks - but then in order to dedicate a time slot to work on it, you have to do it from scratch since you cannot convert a task to event (at least on g-calendar). Thanks!

Most mind map applications are just mind map producers, but as mentioned before, SimpleMind has the possibility you are asking for and the connection to Google Calendar. My favourite is AYOA because it has the possibility to change views from Mindmap to Kanban, Gantt chart/timeline and Whiteboard, but the downside is the price, though for me it's worth it. I use it on Mac and iPad/iPhone with alerts on Apple Watch, but it's also available on Windows, Android and as a web-version. I use it for personal productivity, idea bank and project planning. For me it surpringly replaces Taskade, Asana, Trello, Milanote and MIRO. But on the other hand if you are looking for a software solution which you can tweak to your liking, I guess a separate mind map application together with ClickUp or Notion could do the trick.

I have been searching for a good mindmapping tool, and I have been using FreeMind, an open source application, on my PC. It is free and have some great features like drag and drop a branch to another branch. It is not a perfect tool but I have yet to find a good alternative to FreeMind.

Hi, I’m looking at starting mind mapping. I’m not finding much comparative, condensed information. I don’t have time to teach myself or trial them all.
    I have a wish list.
Available on all platforms, I have windows pc and iPad / iPhone
I would like to add sketches/ drawings/ photos and files to my maps
Can I make my nodes into deeper level branches with multiple layers for more complex maps
Are there any mind maps that are able to integrate with Ai?
Can I sync my google drive?
Can I sync my email ( I use outlook)
I’m just getting started on this wish list, any suggestions would be appreciated. A short video of the above would be the dream
